Carn smiled bitterly when she realized Wei Xing was starting to beco skeptical of Xu Feng's ability.
However, she couldn't bla him either if she hadn't known Xu Feng was Lin Feng and Lin Feng was Xu Feng. Both of them were the sa person, so what was there to be skeptical about?
"You can relax, Xing," Carn said calmly.
"He might not be in the guild's rank, but his authority is even higher than ." She continued, giving him so hints to be careful of his wording.
'With how petty the guild leader was, who knows if he is going to torture Xing later on.' She thought to herself.
With Carn's reassurance, Wei Xing could only throw away the skepticism out of his mind.
"I guessed I was overthinking it…" Wei Xing pursed his lips, wondering if it was his bad habit acting up again.
Being a ga reporter was good, but the con was that they beca overly suspicious and skeptical as long as they spotted one weird instance.
It was also because of this bad habit of his that made him beco a mber of the Vanguard guild, even though he didn't have any intention of joining one from the start.
"Alright, no more suspecting about , right?" Xu Feng placed the teacup down at the desk, crossed his legs, and asked.
Instantly, the atmosphere in the room seed to have changed, with Xu Feng exuding an intangible feeling of pressure on them, but mainly at Wei Xing.
Wei Xing swallowed a mouthful of saliva nervously as he felt such pressure before. His body tensed up and his fingers started trembling.
"What are you scaring him for?" Suddenly, the tension broke off, with Carn crossing her arms and glaring at Xu Feng.
"It's not his fault to be skeptical of you, who quietly ditched away and went to buy snacks." While saying that, she cleverly poured herself a cup of tea and took a sip. "Not a bad tea."
"I didn't an to frighten him." Xu Feng shrugged and glanced at the nervous Wei Xing. "Did I scare you?"
"N-No, Sir." Wei Xing hurriedly shook his head and unconsciously addressed him as Sir in a form of respect.
Smiling in satisfaction, Xu Feng proceeded to explain his thod. "Most of you know that livestreaming is dependent on the viewers, as well as their donations to the content creator."
Both Carn and Wei Xing nodded their heads in agreent.
This much was basic knowledge and everyone knew content creators thrive on viewers' support. Without them, the content creators are worth as much as a grain of sand.
"Thus, we ain't going to treat the viewers with care." Xu Feng announced.
"What? Did you hit your brain sowhere when you went to buy snacks?" Startled, Carn wondered if he had gone stupid.
"Sir, the viewers are what makes the channel alive." Wei Xing was more reserved and went in a roundabout way to call Xu Feng's announcent dumb.
"I know what I'm doing," Xu Feng took a sip of his cup, unfazed by their reactions. "Our livestream won't care about the viewers, and on top of that, one needed to pay a fee to be eligible to watch for a certain ti limit only. Also, the video cannot be recorded or saved from any external software."
Carn: …
Wei Xing: …
At this point, the two were completely stunned and rendered speechless, unable to fathom how this was going to be a successful livestream.
Rather than having competitors or their enemy making a move, Xu Feng's words were equivalent to self-destructing themselves. There wasn't even a need for anyone else to intervene or disrupt them.
"I know the two of you won't even bother to listen, but the Guild Leader put
in charge of this." Xu Feng crossed his legs and continued, "Xing, you will begin putting up a promotion for it. And Carn, you will co up with a marketing idea to assist Xing in his work."
"I assist Xing?" Carn raised an eyebrow and pointed at herself and then at Wei Xing. She wondered why she had to be the one assisting him.
"Your face is still unknown to the world, so why should others get a free glance at your beautiful face?" Xu Feng smirked and pointed at Wei Xing.
"Xing has been running around like so celebrity, so his face is well-known. It's just right for him to do the promotion, and if others want to bash and complain. Isn't his face more familiar and easier for many when we announced the plan officially?"
"That's a great idea!" Carn quickly clasped her hands once she realized the logic. Continue reading at empire
anwhile, Wei Xing's face twitched consecutively, feeling betrayed by these two.
'My hard-earned fa and credibility.' He cried inwardly, wanting to refuse the task. To beco the OneMandia, he did a lot of work, albeit with the help of Lin Feng, but still, much of the later work was from his sweat and tears.
While he scratched his hair from the difficult task, Xu Feng already stood up and smiled, "I'll leave the task to you then, Xing. I've made a group chat for us already so you guys can contact each other later."
Carn nodded, stood up, and followed him to leave. She had spent the whole day touring the place after a long flight, so she was quite exhausted.
"The tea made
drowsy, Cool Wind." She pouted and complained at him.
"Well, it's a soothing tea to begin with. Don't worry, I'll make sure you have ample rest. Xing will do most of the work anyway." Xu Feng mused and exited the office with her following behind.
As the office beca empty, leaving only Wei Xing on the couch, his face held a lifeless expression.
"I'm going to get blasted online…" He smiled bitterly and lowered his head.
Subconsciously, he noticed the teapot and gulped so of his saliva.
"Soothing tea eh?" He murmured, grabbing a cup and wanting to pour himself one, only to realize the tea had been emptied out already.
"Oh, goddamn it!" Wei Xing finally made an outburst.
