When Xu Feng revealed the true objective of today's eting, both Carn and Wei Xing were startled.
Though Carn quickly composed herself as she found it in line with Xu Feng's character.
'Those guilds wished to target us, so Feng will definitely make them pay the price.' She thought to herself.
As for Wei Xing, he was concerned about the possibility of it happening.
Maybe if it was because the Vanguard guild had shown its might, then it might work. But now that most of the guilds were wary of their every action and movent, it would be difficult to make them suffer.
"It seems like you have so concerns, Xing." Xu Feng smiled, noticing his micro-expression change.
Nodding, Wei Xing bit his lips softly and said, "Previously, the Vanguard guild got the upper hand because of the advantage it obtained for being the first in the city and gaining lots of crucial lands. But the update this ti places everyone nearly at the sa starting point."
"Hmm, but we know so more information than the rest?" Carn raised an eyebrow. Just earlier, they learned what the Colossus would target and so more information about what type of monster they were from Xu Feng.
"That is true, but doesn't offset the disadvantages." Wei Xing didn't diminish her input, but rather, raised his main concern. Explore stories on empire
"We know about it, but we can't take advantage of it because we're all waiting for the update to complete. Since everyone would be eyeing us, no matter how secretive we want to be, it'll be bound to be leaked."
This was the nature and harsh reality when competing against others.
It didn't matter if one had critical information.
So long as the enemies were clever in planting spies or other people to watch their every move, it would be hard to implent anything.
Not to ntion, they stated it was going to be livestream, so everyone could see the surroundings and easily rush to their locations shortly after.
"Was it a bad move to announce the live stream then?" Carn pursed her lips, finding the matter troubleso.
However, Wei Xing disagreed and shook his head. "The announcent wasn't a bad move because it made the Vanguard guild beco a focal point. Without it, the others would still do it anyway, and by then, the Vanguard would be behind them in terms of popularity instead."
"Hmm, then we need to create a security asurent to ensure that they can't spy on us." Carn knitted her brows.
Shortly after, these two continued to discuss and attempted multiple solutions, leaving Xu Feng on the sideline.
'Having smart guildmates is good, but why hadn't they asked
if I got any solutions?' Xu Feng twitched his mouth, unsure of what to feel. Naturally, he was experienced in this type of situation and knew how to tackle it, but he also didn't want to just chi into their conversation.
It was rare to see useful mbers discussing and actively trying to resolve a conflict rather than seeking his help.
Watching them discuss the possible solution and then banning it the very next mont was quite… unique.
20 minutes later…
"This can't work either. The manpower from Reaver Guild alone can put the mber count of our Vanguard to sha." Wei Xing shook his head and banned another solution.
"We're lacking manpower, but who would want to join us? Other than those still trapped in Star Falls City, the other city has been steadily developing." Carn sighed and leaned back, feeling the massage from the chair.
Wei Xing furrowed his brows. "I wanted to ask the Guild Leader for help, but he hadn't told
anything, much less the boss behind him."
"Eh, we can just ask Cool Wind then." Carn suddenly coughed and turned to the person who had been ignored for a while.
At this mont, Xu Feng was sipping on so tea, having gone out and ordered so snacks to enjoy for himself.
"Where did you get those?" Her eyes widened in shock at the snacks laid across the desk.
"Oh, these?" Xu Feng chuckled and grabbed a spicy stick. "I bought it while you two were discussing the problem intensively."
By the ti he said it, he felt an intense glare from two people.
Naturally, Wei Xing remained unaware of Xu Feng's alias, Lin Feng, so his fear of Cool Wind wasn't much, especially when this was their first eting.
Hence, he was quite irritated to see how nonchalant Cool Wind was when the guild was experiencing quite a crisis.
Although Wei Xing was scared into joining the guild, he also couldn't help but admit the guild was rather lax and good. Thus, his opinion of the guild gradually changed.
"Are you seriously a core mber or soone with connections?" Wei Xing questioned but then shook his head. "No, that wouldn't make sense because Vanguard wouldn't allow idle people to gain any ranks."
Being a ga reporter, Wei Xing naturally spotted many individuals with quite the background in the guild. Despite this, they were all on the sa standings as many others, with those who dared to make a scene being blacklisted.
Once blacklisted, their life beca even more miserable, given that the Star Falls City was practically the playground of the Vanguard guild.
Just at this mont, Wei Xing suddenly recalled there wasn't a mber called Cool Wind in the Vanguard guild.
Horrified, Wei Xing quickly grabbed his phone and looked at the ssage.
When he confird that the sender was indeed Lin Feng and ntioned the na, Cool Wind, he was further stupefied. 'Cool Wind is not a mber of the guild but got the Guild Leader to ntion him? Just what is his identity?'
"Hey, Carn, have you known him for a while?" Wei Xing turned to Carn and asked softly, not really caring that Xu Feng could hear him.
Since these two had exchanged their ga userna and added each other through their smartwatch, Wei Xing's guard wasn't up for her. After all, Carn's ID was Lunar Wraith, the Commander Rank in the guild.
