Chapter 1439: Hit List Part 3

Shortly after giving his thanks to Herbalist Elias and the many others who were concerned about his situation, Xu Feng promptly closed the ssage.

His expression was rather cold as he turned to the crowd.

"Since so people love to slander , it’ll be rude of us to not follow through with it." He said sinisterly.

His sinister tone instantly caused many of them to jolt in shock.

"Y-You’re not really going to betray humanity, right?" Lightning Blade’s face turned rather pale. He could never imagine his Guild Leader would seriously do sothing dumb like that.

"Uh-huh, it’ll be really disastrous for us." Blue Star chid in.

The sa goes for the rest, who were truly frightened by Xu Feng’s motive.

However, Carn was rather nonchalant. She was certain that soone like Xu Feng would never do sothing this risky.

In fact, she was positive that he had so more shrewd thod that wouldn’t even require his hands to eradicate his enemies.

That was just how much trust and confidence she had in her man.

And sure enough, she would be right when Xu Feng began to explain his plan.

"Relax, I’ve made so deals with the Colossus prior to the major update in the Divine World." He curled his lips upward and retrieved a certain incense.

"These incense are like a smoke signal for the Colossuses to learn that there could be valuables. All you need to do is enter the cities of those on the hit list and light them up. You can find a discreet spot or even a random place to light it up. Once lit, you can just leave."

Many of them felt chills and goosebumps over such a simplistic action, yet filled with extrely horrifying consequences.

Without even needing to imagine much, they could already perceive this tiny incense from Xu Feng’s hand to be a deadly nuke.

Not to ntion, the thod could be done so swiftly and discreetly. The enemies wouldn’t even know what hit them until it was too late.

Hell, even if they learned of the destruction, they would have no way of knowing who the culprit was.

"No wonder you’re rushing to the hearing." Carn suddenly muttered. "You’re creating an alias by being at the Aetheria Empire while the accusers’ cities would undergo mayhem."

Xu Feng was visibly shocked. He glanced at Carn as if he were looking at a ghost.

"Wow, how did you know?" He was amazed and stunned by how fast her brain was working. She was never the type to guess such insidious intentions in the past.

’Because I love you.’

Carn nearly said those words aloud, but managed to clear her throat and give another excuse. "It’s because you’re the one and only Vanguard Guild Leader."

Although it was the sa as not saying anything, the others actually nodded their heads in agreent. Nobody could pull a similar stunt like Xu Feng, who single-handedly raised the Vanguard Guild to their current state.

A little bit of shrewdness was actually the norm because no saint could ever grow their guild in such a ruthless world.

"Make sense." Xu Feng didn’t find it odd that Carn was finally picking up on his conduct.

"Anyway, form your team and follow the hit list."

"But Guild Leader, won’t it still be suspicious of you?"

Just when Xu Feng was about to use his town token to leave, Carn suddenly halted him.

"The hit list is people who targeted you, and given their recent accusation. Even if you have an alibi, they would still think you’re associated or related to the incident."

Upon hearing Carn’s words, Xu Feng couldn’t help but flash a smile.

"And what about it?" He had long anticipated that the majority of them would quickly associate him with their fallen cities.

But so what?

They had no proof, but fear would definitely be imposed on them. After all, they could very well be the next target on the list if they ssed with him.

As for the higher-ups?

Xu Feng seriously dared them to try to antagonize him further. Besides the fact that he technically controlled the current wealth around Star Falls City, he also owned one of the most prosperous towns.

Haven Wind Town was also widely recognized by NPCs, with many NPC rchants flocking in daily to do trades.

After all, it remained safe and sound despite the Colossuses’ aggressive invasion.

Many smaller towns had been left in ruin or on the verge of collapsing internally.

However, the Haven Wind Town was still lively and strong. One could say that the NPCs found it to be even safer than so major cities simply because of its strategic terrain and defensive capability.

Therefore, if Xu Feng decided to close off the town to NPC and bla it on the Aetheria Empire’s unreasonable conduct, then one could easily imagine how fast the area would implode.

’If those higher-ups are that stuck up and want to ruin , then I might as well spread the chaos.’ Honestly, Xu Feng couldn’t be bothered whether the Colossuses really overran the Aetheria Empire.

The Aetheria Empire was not the only place he needed, and the Arcane Vein could be accessed elsewhere anyway by setting up a teleport waypoint.

He didn’t need the empire since he already had his own Army Camp.

The soldiers in his Army Camp had long been spoiled by him, so even if they were given an option to swear loyalty to the empire or him, they would definitely choose him.

"Alright, I entrust you all with the hit list. I’ll be back as soon as I can." Xu Feng promptly said and activated his town token.

"Guild Leader!" Carn extended her hand and called out to him. But alas, his silhouette had already vanished from the spot since the activation.

"Ugh, I just hope we don’t have to relocate or anything." She sighed softly.

"Let’s not jinx ourselves and do as we’re told instead." Veronica cleared her throat and sent a team invite to her.

The others also began to choose their own partner.
