Chapter 1367: Aetheria Empire Part 14

"What’s with your expression?" Veronica raised an eyebrow when she detected his ugly complexion.

"I’ll tell you later." Zhao Kai glanced around the surroundings, signaling that now was not the appropriate ti.

There were too many players, alongside NPCs, in the scene.

"This is?" The leader of the reinforcent team, Norman, approached Zhao Kai and asked when he spotted Veronica.

"Ah, Captain Norman. This woman is our Guild Captain, Vortex Viper, and is responsible for most of the administrative work in the Vanguard Guild. She’s extrely important and revered." Zhao Kai promptly introduced the two.

"Nice to et you, Captain Norman." Veronica extended her hand and greeted Norman.

"Likewise, Guild Captain of the Vanguard Guild." Norman shook his hand with hers and smiled politely. After this incident, the reputation of the Vanguard Guild had improved by another margin in the military.

He had been instructed by General Henry previously to establish good ties with the Vanguard Guild. So it was just perfect to et with soone like their Guild Captain here.

"Please follow us to et with General Henry," Norman suggested.

"Of course," Veronica put on her political profession and nodded gently.

As the two continued to chat, Zhao Kai realized he had been pushed to the sideline.

"Wow, I’ve been dumped again." Zhao Kai twitched his brows. He was about to head sowhere else to rest until soone else approached him.

"Where did your Guild Leader go?" Evelyn asked curiously. "It can’t be that he really succumbed to the Tier 4 Summoner enemy, right?"

"Succumbed?" He pursed his lips and cried inwardly. Rather than succumb to the enemy, he wanted to say he succumbed to lust.

Alas, he couldn’t possibly expose such information to another person. Xu Feng wouldn’t do the sa to him, and neither would he.

’Forget it... I suppose this is revenge when I was being lovey-dovey with Lynette.’ Zhao Kai spread his arms out and shook his head.

"No clue, but the Guild Leader ntioned that he was safe and sound. It’s just that he’s gone into hiding to avoid the Tier 4 Summoner pursuit." He readily gave a very logical explanation for Xu Feng’s disappearance.

His face was also sincere, with barely any flaws that he was lying. After all, the explanation ultimately contained a mixture of truth and lies.

Evelyn also didn’t think Zhao Kai would be lying.

"As long as he’s safe and sound." She heaved a sigh of relief.

Although they weren’t responsible for this powerful enemy, the truth remained that they had nearly implicated the Vanguard Guild because of their decision to raid the Oracle Grotto.

Needless to say, her sigh of relief at this point caused Zhao Kai to misunderstand.

’Damn, Feng isn’t trying to be a scumbag, right?’ Zhao Kai made a ntal note to warn Xu Feng not try to create a harem. His own family had such a ss because his father couldn’t keep his pants to himself.

Not to ntion, Xu Feng was also sent to an orphanage because of his irresponsible parents. The chances of him being illegitimate have been discussed in the past, which is why he was sent to an orphanage.

How could they possibly have more than one woman with such experience?

While Zhao Kai had to deal with Evelyn and prayed for their swift return, back in the outside world, Carn was watching Xu Feng doing sothing on the laptop.

"What are you doing?" She stared at the screen and then at him. Her clothes were sowhat loose, and her breathing was a bit out of place, a clear sign of an intense aftermath activity.

Xu Feng glanced at her briefly. "You know... It’s going to be hard for

to do things with your current appearance."

"Didn’t you just enjoy yourself thoroughly?"

"But you were satisfied too."

Instantly, Carn pouted and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Veronica already texted , asking where we are. The situation requires us—no, requires you, the Guild Leader."

As much as she enjoyed alone ti together, now was not the ti to be distracted by other things.

"You can return to the Divine World first. I’m doing sothing important that will help finance our guild." Xu Feng chuckled in amusent.

"Important?" Confused, she glanced at the screen again and saw it was a bunch of stocks. Since she rarely studied these stocks or finance, all the graphs simply made her feel dizzy and nauseous.

"Don’t look at the numbers and graphs." Xu Feng mused and pointed at the na of the company.

"Look at this na first."

"Hmm?" Carn narrowed her eyes and leaned closer. "Nerco Alliance..."

She paused for a mont before recalling why the na of that company was so familiar.

"Mhmm, you got it." He grinned evilly. "I’m going to make a killing here."

Initially, Carn was going to call him shaless, but her eyes nearly popped out when she saw the fund in his stock account.

"How many digits are there?" She counted them one by one.

As her finger continued to move to the next digit, she began to sweat bullets.

Billion...

There was actually more than 5 billion in his stock account.

Just how rich was he??!

"I’m actually dating a super billionaire?" Her eyes sparkled. If his stock market account already had 5 billion, then she couldn’t imagine his overall wealth.

"You’re acting as if you dated

for money."

"Money is a good bonus."

Who in this world hates money?

They said money can’t buy happiness, but without money, you would be suffering even more.

"Anyway, I’m just doing a bit of leverage here to earn another big chunk." Xu Feng smiled.

He then made a few clicks and closed the laptop. Afterward, he carried Carn into her room.

"Alright, ti to return. Kai has been buzzing

about how Evelyn is hamring on him."

Carn nodded in agreent. "A kiss first."

Shortly after a smooch, Carn closed her gaming capsule as she proceeded to log into the Divine World.

As her gaming capsule closed, Xu Feng’s warm smile gradually turned cold.

"Necro Alliance... It’s about ti for you to return to the graveyard."
