A few minutes later, Jeanette officially signed the contract and joined the Vanguard Guild.
The contract was too good to be passed on!
Even a fool would know what to choose.
Not to ntion, the reputation of the Vanguard Guild wasn’t unfounded for a reason.
There were so many mbers in the guild who claid the benefits were beyond generous. It far surpassed those from the Super Guilds.
Moreover, the requirent to enter the Vanguard Guild had risen to a height where no ordinary player could join without putting in the effort.
The fact that she could enter the guild and imdiately be promoted to an elite mber was a privilege.
"So, can I retrieve resources now?" Jeanette asked curiously.
"You’re free to do so." Xu Feng gestured his hand and explained that she simply needed to inform the Guild Captain.
The Guild Captain was in charge of the guild warehouse, and anyone below the Guild Commander’s rank would need to receive her permission to enter.
"That’s what you’ve said!" Jeanette clasped her hands and swiftly exited the room. It was obvious that the previous suppression had already made her hands extrely itchy to concoct new potions.
Seeing her leave in a hurry, Xu Feng could only shake his head.
"Finally got the majority of the things done for this second major update." He murmured. It was indeed troubleso to recruit soone like Jeanette into the Vanguard Guild.
But luckily, the collective hostile guilds’ action against him created a perfect opportunity for him to fast forward multiple of his plans.
Nevertheless, there were still so many things to do.
Amidst his fatigue, another player entered the room.
"I’ve heard you recruited another beauty to the guild," Carn said in a sowhat sarcastic tone.
Unfazed by the sarcasm, Xu Feng nodded his head.
He then proceeded to explain Jeanette’s origin and why he spent so much effort recruiting her.
A few minutes later, Carn sat on Xu Feng’s lap and chuckled.
"I see... no wonder you spent so much effort. She was actually the one behind the Death Potion."
"Mhmm, she’s very valuable to the guild. But this must be kept a secret."
"That’s definitely necessary." Carn was certain that the Miracle Pavilion learned that they had poached soone from their side. They would definitely be fuming with rage.
Even though Jeanette claid to have left the Miracle Pavilion, it was hard to guarantee that the latter would accept this kind of result. After all, the Miracle Pavilion lost to them, and now even their trump card, who had dumped them, went to their side.
Who could accept this kind of humiliation?
"Anyway, have you finished the task?" Xu Feng changed the topic. Now that the crafting and potion aspects were resolved, there was still the manpower issue.
"I’ve finished." She retrieved a list and teased. "I just wonder if you have enough money to recruit them all."
"Hah, how expensive could they be—"
Almost imdiately, Xu Feng’s eyes widened in complete disbelief the mont he glanced at the list.

The minimum NPC salary was 30 gold coins per month, with the highest going as far as 100 gold coins.
Why don’t they go rob a bank?
No, this is even better than robbing a bank!
"If you keep your eyes wide like that, I’m afraid you might need another pair of glasses," Carn warned softly.
"Can you bla ?" He took a deep breath and sighed. "These NPCs are only Tier 2, but the salary they require is akin to those of Tier 3s."
"That’s because they’re all high potential with chances of promotion in tiers consecutively." She calmly explained.
These NPCs were all people who had been screened by Librarian Griselda.
Originally, they were supposed to be the NPCs working for her.
However, Carn decided to give them to Xu Feng instead to manage and promote them.
"You’re actually giving
this kind of list?" Xu Feng was astonished. In the past tiline, he had heard rumors that Carn might be a solo player, but she would have a team of extrely fearso NPCs to help her clean out the scraps.
This was also why no other Super Guilds wanted to provoke her. Not only was she strong individually, but there was also a Super NPC Team assisting her.
And supposedly, this future Super NPC Team was now being handed over to him on a platter.
Whirlwind of emotions panged him right at this mont.
He didn’t know what to say or how to react, knowing fully well how capable this list of NPCs was.
"Carn, are you sure you want to give this list of people to ?" Xu Feng asked in concern and explained to her how powerful these groups of NPCs would beco in the future.
"A team wouldn’t help
as much as it would help you." She shrugged. She was used to summoning her Elentalists to battle on her behalf. Moreover, their intelligence had risen significantly since their tier advancent.
Nowadays, she didn’t even need to command them, and they would act on their own unless she commanded otherwise.
Not to ntion, she didn’t have any money to spare to recruit this many people.
Because of how spoiled she was in front of Xu Feng, she never had to earn money for herself. All she needed to do was extend her hand, and money would co to her pocket.
"Besides, if I ask for the team to help , would you refuse my request?" She asked cheekily.
Xu Feng smiled briefly after hearing the question. That was a no-brainer question. He would obviously lend it to her if she needed it.
But still, what truly pained him dearly was that the list had more than 50 people.
At least over 7000 gold coins of monthly expense would have to be footed over to sustain this team if he recruited them all.
"Should we earn so money together, Carn?" He suggested. It had been a while since the two of them tead up to earn so money.
