Shortly after Zhao Kai left the office with Lightning Blade to catch up on a level, another person entered the room.
And this particular person was not a mber of the Vanguard Guild—or at least not yet in Xu Feng’s eyes.
“Eclipse Nova, the most elusive and mysterious player.” The person said in a sowhat sarcastic tone.
“I wouldn’t claim to be the most elusive and mysterious one, Miss Jeanette.” Xu Feng didn’t take any offense and replied in amusent.
To those unaware, this Jeanette person was soone Xu Feng had battled against before. Although it wasn’t a direct confrontation, her invention of the Death Potion assisted the Miracle Pavilion greatly.
Jeanette’s expression was rather cold. She narrowed her eyes and found a seat. “Speak, what do you want from ? To think that you could even get the empire to ban
from getting supplies. You really want to destroy
deeply, eh?”
Truth be told, Jeanette had left the Miracle Pavilion ever since their pathetic defeat against the Vanguard Guild.
With their supply chain sabotaged and their chamber of comrce repeatedly wrecked by Vanguard Guild, she would be a fool to remain in a place that lacks the supplies.
So what if you had the money?
If your money could not be exchanged for the precious resources that she required, then that money was worthless!
Hence, she had no choice but to beco a mber of the Vanguard Chamber of Comrce and purchase supplies, alongside so exclusive stores from the empire.
Yet who could have imagined that after a few hours in a series of guild bans, the empire outright blacklisted her as well.
The Vanguard Chamber of Comrce also stopped selling her and even warned other mbers not to distribute anything to her. Otherwise, once caught, they would be blacklisted as well.
As the second major update dropped, resources—especially precious ones had been extrely scarce. No players would dare to gather them either because so exclusive resources were from the Colossus sieged zone.
To summarize, these kinds of actions were targeted against her to push her to the end of the cliff.
So after so investigation, Jeanette finally learned this was the action by Eclipse Nova.
‘Just what is wrong with this person!’ When she rushed over here in anger, she was surprisingly not blocked at all. It was as if they anticipated her appearance here.
“There’s no need to stare at
with such a resentful look.” Xu Feng chuckled in amusent.
Jeanette hissed.
“What did I do to you?” She asked angrily. She was certain that her involvent with the suppression against the Vanguard Guild in the chamber aspect was unknown to him.
After all, she only provided them with potions while staying hidden from the public eye.
‘He can’t possibly know about my involvent!’ She thought to herself.
Alas, her expectation was shattered when Xu Feng took out a Death Potion from his inventory.
Still, she remained composed and feigned ignorance of the ordeal.
“This Death Potion… isn’t it quite trash?” Xu Feng said in a taunting tone.
‘Trash? That’s one of my best-selling potions.’ Jeanette suppressed her internal anger. She couldn’t afford to slip up and let him know that she was related to the Death Potion.
However, her resistance would prove futile when Xu Feng repeatedly undermined her creation.
“This Death Potion is truly useless. The Miracle Pavilion tried to use this trash against us, and look at where it got them? Do you agree with ?”
“Agree?”
Jeanette was on the verge of throwing hands.
Who the hell does Eclipse Nova think he was?
How dare he humiliate her in such a way?
“I reckon the creator of this potion is diocre, too. They used this kind of trash to swindle the fools from Miracle Pavilion. I wonder if they’re being blacklisted everywhere as karma.”
By now, if Jeanette still didn’t know he was teasing her on purpose, then she might as well bang her head against the wall.
“ENOUGH!” She stood up and threw a loud tantrum.
“Why are you targeting
like I harm your whole generation? I’m just a supplier or distributor or whatever you call it. I have no direct action against you or your guild.”
Xu Feng was a bit startled by her sudden tantrum.
‘Did I go too far?’ He didn’t anticipate this kind of overaction.
Jeanette was practically on the floor, wailing and kicking her legs around in frustration.
“Why do you bully ? I was only trying to earn a living.”
Dumbfounded, Xu Feng didn’t expect Jeanette to behave like a kid.
“Umm… can you stop the tantrum for now?”
“No, you are evil! You are cruel to soone who’s just trying to make a living!”
“…”
“Either stop the tantrum, or I’ll make sure to expand the duration of your blacklist.” Xu Feng threatened coolly. He was sure that this tantrum was a fake. Still, he couldn’t withstand this kind of behavior.
Soti later, Jeanette stopped her tantrum and resud her usual deanor.
She believed he would truly blacklist her forever if she were to continue the tantrum.
“Anyway, I’m not that heartless.” Xu Feng calmly said and gave her an option. “I can provide you with the resources you need to help your creation. But in return, you must join our Vanguard Guild and stay loyal.”
Jeanette’s expression turned cold. She was dissatisfied with this so-called condition, which would practically make her beco the guild’s slave.
Just when she was about to be rejected, Xu Feng directly handed her a contract.
Initially disdainful, the mont she began to read through the contract, her pupils constricted. ‘Motherfucker, how am I supposed to reject when the conditions are this good?’
It would be a lie to say she wasn’t tempted right now, to the point where she was about to forgive Xu Feng’s ruthless thod.
‘Heh, first give them a taste of sorrow and defeat, followed by sweetness, is the key to recruitnt.’ Xu Feng didn’t feel anything wrong with his motive, granted that he would really provide her with the best benefit later on.
