In the early days, when he beca a millionaire, Xu Feng had wanted to use the Global Trust Bank as his main source of funds.
He even went as far as modifying so of the data secretly.
Unfortunately, the plan didn’t go smoothly. The Global Trust Bank was too rigid and prideful.
They refused to let soone who didn’t have a proper background or family gain access to their exclusive accounts.
It got to the point where he wanted to increase his leverage in stocks to earn a fast kill, but got denied by a small employee.
Since the GTB loves to look down on people, Xu Feng also wasn’t a wimp to let them step over his head and say okay.
"Rebecca, how do you want to replace GTB and use it as your chip to suppress the elders?" Xu Feng inquired softly.
"What?" Startled, Rebecca had barely taken a bite out of her cake to relax her mood when Xu Feng suddenly dropped another bombshell.
"You want our Lethal Finance to replace GTB, the Global Trust Bank?"
"Why? Do you not desire that for a long ti?" Xu Feng mused.
Almost imdiately, Rebecca’s face turned cold. "That GTB heir coveted my beauty and wanted
to beco his wife. I’ve long wanted to smack the crap out of him."
"Glad we’re on the sa page then."
"I don’t know what you have planned, but it better be sothing similar to what you did to our Lethal Corp."
"That’s definite." Xu Feng smirked. He still recalled how they wanted to ss with his establishnt of the entertainnt company.
Although he didn’t personally make a move, Veronica was practically fuming when she relayed her experience.
Veronica was a treasured person.
Not even he dared to treat her badly, but others actually dared to?
They must be dreaming about their life being too easy and wanting so difficulty.
Soti later, Rebecca excused herself.
Due to the severity of this incident, she must head back to the headquarters and personally oversee the situation.
"Are you heading back as well?" Allison finished her drink and asked.
"Mhmm, I still have a lot of work to do in the Divine World." Xu Feng placed his cup down.
He calculated the ti and reckoned the war horses must have been delivered to the empire. It wouldn’t be long before a recruitnt post would be posted throughout the cities regarding the second major update.
"Then I won’t keep you here." Allison calmly said.
"Thanks for the drink."
In the blink of an eye, Xu Feng left the Starlight Cafe.
Allison could only sigh softly. Although it appeared that he left in a rush, she saw him taking back a separate piece of strawberry cake.
Without a doubt, the dessert was most likely for his girlfriend.
As if that wasn’t enough, when the bill arrived, Allison nearly choked on her saliva.
"Even the cake was billed to this table." She smiled bitterly. The fact that he used her money to buy sothing else for his girlfriend was probably sothing only Xu Feng could have pulled off. The shalessness and confident deanor to brave through every event was quite sothing to be envious of.
’I should learn from him.’ She thought to herself and paid the bill.
While Allison dwelt in a lancholy state, Xu Feng arrived at the Apex Tower.
Thanks to so strings being pulled, Carn now had her own apartnt.
He rang the bell and waited patiently.
A few minutes later, Carn opened the door in surprise.
"What are you doing here, Feng?" She asked, her clothes sowhat loose.
Xu Feng’s eyes widened slightly as he hurriedly pulled her inside the room. He then shut the door and heaved a sigh of relief.
Although he wasn’t possessive or anything, he had no intention of letting others see Carn in such an enticing and alluring manner.
Moreover, he could tell that she opened the door in a rush.
"I can wait for more minutes, Carn. There’s no need to co out in a rush."
"Well, who told you not to just enter the room?" Carn shrugged. She had given him the password and even a physical key. Yet he still decided to ring the bell and made her log out of the Divine World to open the door for him.
"I just thought it would be rude to enter without notifying you."
Xu Feng mused and opened the cake packaging for her.
’Hmph, you’re probably worried that I’m jealous and didn’t dare to enter.’ Carn wasn’t a fool to not understand his mindset.
She was certain that he ca over here imdiately after his eting instead of logging in to the Divine World because of these worries.
She wore these loose clothes to let him know that all was well.
As if she was seriously going to wear like this when opening the door without confirming the coast was clear.
Soti later, the two sat at the table, with Carn enjoying her strawberry cake.
"Let
guess, you had them foot the bill on this one as well, right?" She inquired.
"Wow, you’ve called it!" Xu Feng chuckled and explained today’s eting.
Carn listened attentively and was astounded to learn that he beca a shareholder of Lethal Finance.
However, when it got to the part where the GTB humiliated both Xu Feng and Veronica, her expression darkened.
"What an almighty GTB!" Carn held the fork tightly; her eyes appeared to be in a blaze.
"The GTB has grown recently because they orchestrated a new deal for young people. But they failed to honor the New Deal and trapped many. If not, their account and record wouldn’t have been so beautiful for the governnt."
"Hoh, you know a lot about them."
"Of course, I was involved in the marketing project regarding the GTB new deal promotion before I quit midway when I found it fishy."
Back then, she had advised her superiors, only to be reprimanded harshly.
After a few days, she finally learned that her superiors and colleagues actually knew it was a fishy matter. Still, they chose to comply because the paynt was legitimate and each one of them received a portion of the money.
