Chapter 1262: Origin Trial 2.0 Part 7
Two minutes later...
Xu Feng effectively imrsed himself with the crowd of people flooding into the dical Sector to search for Trainee Michael.
"Damn it, where did that bastard go?"
"The caras are suddenly down, so we can’t even check the situation."
"Did the caras get hacked by Trainee Michael? But that should be impossible when he’s from the dical Division."
As the crowd beca frustrated by the situation, Xu Feng openly left the dical sector.
When soone spotted him, they questioned him.
"Where are you going?" One of them asked with a suspicious look.
"Since the caras are down at the mont, I’m going ahead to block the exit paths. That way, we can make sure Trainee Michael is contained within this sector." Xu Feng replied in a timid voice.
When the person saw the tag and realized Xu Feng was from the Reconnaissance Division, their suspicion gradually dispelled.
"Ah, as expected of soone from the Reconnaissance Division. Always so ticulous and cautious."
Since the Reconnaissance Division was responsible for a lot of observations, it made perfect sense why Xu Feng would hold such a belief and take such an action.
In the blink of an eye, multiple people gathered and listened to Xu Feng’s instructions to guard around the exit.
"Make sure nobody gets through the exit without undergoing the scanner. I’m going to head toward the technician and check why the caras are down. I refuse to believe this is so coincidence." Xu Feng said righteously.
"You’re right. We’ll make sure no one gets past us!"
"Hmph, just leave it to us. Not even an ant could dream about getting through us."
Xu Feng nodded solemnly and patted their shoulders.
"I have full trust and faith in you all." He said emotionally. However, deep inside, Xu Feng nearly wanted to vomit at their stupidity.
An ant?
Were they being serious?
They were in a goddamn battleship with advanced technology and AI scanners everywhere.
How could so ants even get into their battleship?
Shortly after thinking so, Xu Feng realized he was the actual buffoon.
An ant might not be able to intrude on the battleship, but so sick parasites were able to intrude and even took control of the Commander.
’Sigh, now’s not the ti to taunt these NPCs.’ He shook his head and promptly made his way to the basent.
By the ti he appeared in the basent and wanted to reach B3, so guards had already raised their guns and halted him.
"Stop your movent and state your identity, plus show proof of your Clearance Level." One of the guards demanded in a cold tone. Since the battleship was currently on high alert, any random personnel would be suspected of treason.
Xu Feng remained calm and collected in the face of the threat.
"I’m Trainee Mike, from the Reconnaissance Division, tasked by Supervisor Harvey of the dical Division to head to the laboratory at B3 to retrieve the latest invention for our reconnaissance work." He explained and showed Harvey’s Clearance Level Access Code for the guards to scan.
BEEP!
The scanner the guards used returned a green light, indicating the access code was legitimate.
"Very well," the guard nodded their head and granted him access.
Still, they made sure to warn him to make haste. "The basent is about to be under strict protocol, so don’t spend too long, lest you be detained."
Xu Feng cupped his fist and thanked the guard for the warning. He wasn’t surprised by another ti limit, granted that the System was one devil-like bastard.
B3 Level, Laboratory Experint
Upon arriving at the lab, Xu Feng was startled by the advanced dical and research devices available in the room.
’Shit... how do I operate them?’ He scratched his head with a helpless expression.
The mories of Michael didn’t have any information related to these devices. After all, Michael was still a trainee and had yet to reach the level to be granted access to such high-quality equipnt.
Thankfully, his predicant was unnecessary when he touched one of the devices, and information regarding how to operate them was revealed in the prompt.
"Sigh, is this so kind of karma?" He smiled bitterly and realized he needed to study them on the spot.
"Forget it, no point in whining or complaining."
Resilient, Xu Feng was determined to finish the synthesis process and concoct the cure.
...
Outside World
While Xu Feng was occupied in the Origin Trial, a new day had already started, and the short drama that was produced by the Vanguard Guild beca a sensational topic.
"This is dia Corp reporting in. The short drama, ’Transmigrated to Daxia Dynasty as Young Master of the Vanguard Clan,’ has been making waves in the entertainnt industry." A female anchor reported excitedly.
"Today, we were lucky enough to invite the well-known spokesperson of the Vanguard Guild, Wei Xing, aka OneMandia."
"Hello, everyone. It’s your honest and dia reporter here." Wei Xing greeted the audience as the cara panned to him. "It’s my honor to et with Sister Jia Ling again."
The female anchor, Jia Ling, chuckled heartily.
"It’s our dia Corp’s honor to receive your presence." She replied before moving on with the topic.
"I have a series of questions from our dear viewers, and myself included. When will the next episode of the short drama be released?"
Upon hearing the question, Wei Xing kept a calm composure and readily explained with a textbook answer.
"Today, there will be 3 more episodes released. Those who earned enough VIP level will get all 3, whereas the regular mbers will get 1 episode."
"Ah, then isn’t the regular mber prone to discrimination?" Jia Ling reacted in a dissatisfied manner.
"There have already been many negative reviews lately bombarding the short drama for capitalism and biased discrimination. Could it be that those reviews were true?"
Needless to say, these questions were all preordained.
The reason why Wei Xing agreed to this interview was that there had been so people who were restless.
They couldn’t stand seeing the Vanguard Guild rise and purposely hired many water armies to troll and drop negative reviews.
’Too bad for them. Their connection is rather shabby.’ Wei Xing sneered inwardly. As soone heavily involved in dia, he had long established a large network of connections. With just a few simple orders from him, he had already learned the culprits behind this series of malicious sabotages.
