Chapter 1227: Serena The Conqueror
A few minutes had gone by since Serena began to display her chef’s ability to capture the consurs’ hearts.
Many crew mbers were grateful for being able to enjoy the skewers while working on the set.
Given how a person’s stomach was the most important aspect, Serena managed to conquer the majority of the people on set, who openly welcod her presence.
"What? You want to recruit her into the short drama as imperial chef?" At this mont, Carn’s eyelids twitched uncontrollably.
The short drama was already on the trend despite not having a single episode published. The editing team was swamped hard, and the plot line had barely gotten to the middle part.
Yet now Xu Feng was requesting her to include another role, like throwing a heavy boulder on her back.
"It’s not that I don’t want to, but if you really want
to add her to the short drama. Then the original plan of 3 hours long will be scrapped."
Carn wasn’t against Serena whatsoever. Instead, she was concerned that this short drama might not be completed within the duration set initially.
One could say that the drama was already stacked, and adding more variables would only result in lots of plot holes.
"You should have a taste of this." Contrary to wasting words to convince Carn, he decided to hand her a specially-made skewer.
Although Serena was providing the crew with skewers, they were all ordinary ones. From her words, she said ingredients going to waste was a sin, so she might as well cook them all and hand them out.
Needless to say, the crew could naturally discern the difference between the two skewers. But none of them dared to voice a complaint.
After all, Xu Feng and Carn were ultimately the bosses on the shooting set.
Whoever dared to offend these two was destined to have no good ending.
"My hands are tied." Carn cleared her throat and calmly reminded that she was too busy reading the script and making so comnts.
As if that wasn’t enough for a hint, she opened her mouth slightly. Her pink tongue and perfect white teeth were in full view for Xu Feng to see.
To ensure that nobody else could see her bold action, she even used the script to cover the angle.
Xu Feng’s expression turned tense.
’My dear god, even Carn is being affected??!’ He cried inwardly.
He could still endure and withstand the attack of the three actresses, but this one move from Carn could easily shatter his defense in an instant.
As he glanced at her longer, he found himself sowhat enchanted by her docile and cute behavior.
Maybe it was because he knew her as the fearso Demoness, so seeing her behaving in such a stark contrast toward him caused his heart to pound rapidly.
’No, I’m definitely being affected because both Zhao Kai and Ning Yi found their other half.’ He hurriedly shook his head to eradicate all those nonsensical thoughts.
Nevertheless, he still fed Carn the skewer to let her taste Serena’s worth.
By the ti Carn closed her mouth and began to savor the at, her body froze in place.
"Umm, what do you think?" Xu Feng asked after a few seconds had gone by. He even waved his hand in front of her face to get her attention.
Soon, Carn snapped out of her daze. She cleared her throat softly and put on a solemn expression.
"Serena being cast as an imperial chef... approved." She said professionally.
"This is only because I think having an imperial chef could spice things up. Her beauty could also beco another type of fan service to bring traffic. But we must make sure that she has to cook in every scene she will be in. And as the director, I must taste them to see whether it is acceptable or not."
How righteous of you!
Xu Feng resisted the urge to call her out for clearly wanting to taste more of Serena’s cooking.
She and Zhao Kai were both gluttonous. As soon as their mouth tasted delicious food, they could even sell their soul on the spot.
"Wait a minute, Feng." Carn suddenly recalled sothing. "Could she be an Expert Chef?"
She rembered how Xu Feng ntioned that chefs in the Divine World could manipulate and change a player’s attributes with their food alone.
"She’s not at that level yet." He pondered for a few monts before giving such a conclusion. He admitted that Serena’s cooking in the real world was already top-notch, but when it ca to the Divine World. She was still lacking.
At the very least, Xu Feng knew Serena’s skills had yet to reach the peak that he tasted.
"Have you recruited her to our guild yet?" Carn asked.
"I didn’t even bother to make such an offer."
"Why not?"
"She’s not interested."
"And how would you know if you never asked in the first place?" She was exasperated and wondered where her shaless Guild Leader had gone. Back then, he actively pursued her to recruit her to the guild.
Yet now he was claiming to be a coward and a hesitant person?
Was he trying to fool her?
Or was he trying to imply that she was easy to recruit as opposed to Serena?
Xu Feng’s face twitched when he noticed Carn’s expression was shifting to hatred. He sweated profusely as he hurriedly explained himself.
"Carn, you should know that great chefs have that inexplicable pride in them. They knew how well their skill was, and preferred freedom."
Unfortunately, his so-called explanation fell on deaf ears.
Carn rolled her eyes and grabbed him by the collar. She then pulled him close to her as she warned, "I don’t care what crooked thod you have in store. But you’d better recruit this chef into the guild so I can have a well-fed tummy. If necessary, use your manly charm to swoon her over."
’It’s over... this Carn has gone insane for Serena’s food.’ Xu Feng regretted bringing over such a bane to his rank.
