Chapter 1141: Back To The Phantasm Sea
Z3roTrace’s body twitched slightly upon being called out by Xu Feng.
But the shock was only for a brief mont.
"As expected of the Guild Leader." Z3roTrace removed his Stealth Cloak and smiled bitterly.
"Your perception is really high. Of all the targets I had assassinated, they never once identified
until I publicly posted their execution. Moreover, I could even remain by their side while they stayed ignorant."
"Then the targets you have chosen in the past were rely diocre." Xu Feng comnted.
He was indeed impressed with Z3roTrace’s track record, but that was until one dug deeper into his assassination list.
None of the people in the list included had any of the truly well-protected and hidden players in the Divine World.
"I am indeed quite ashad about the matter." Z3roTrace regrettably said. He held zero intention of trying to defend his successful track record, which was laced with flaws.
If anything, he was even more impressed by Xu Feng’s calm deanor and knowledgeable self.
"Well, you’re not planning on trying to keep tracking
down, right?" Xu Feng asked. "If not, then just leave as I shall pretend you didn’t appear here."
"Are you not going to kick
out of the guild?" Z3roTrace was pretty certain he would be kicked out almost imdiately. Yet not only was he told to just leave, but it appeared that he could still be in the guild.
"Now why would I do that?"
"Because I’m an Assassin and entered with a disguised identity."
"And?" Xu Feng shrugged. "You may have entered with a disguised identity, but I did see you trying your best to defend. Whether it was done purposely or genuinely to avoid being exposed, you are still quite a valued individual."
Shortly after saying that, Xu Feng started to walk away. He wasn’t afraid of being attacked by Z3roTrace because there was zero chance of him actually trying to commit the assassination at this place.
Z3roTrace most likely thought about killing, which resulted in so leakage, but ultimately decided against it. However, that brief hesitation was enough for Xu Feng to detect his presence.
This alone spoke volus of his capability, and Z3roTrace would be a clown to attempt to make a move with such an unfavorable position.
’Ugh, this is really a predicant for .’ Z3roTrace regretted accepting the commission and publicizing it. According to the information known, it was said that the Vanguard Guild Leader was a healer.
Wasn’t a healer precisely weak against assassins?
That was the norm and what everyone else believed to be the case!
How was he supposed to know Xu Feng was a different species altogether?
Not to ntion, when he first joined the guild in disguise, he soon found himself captivated by the benefits and leniency.
Unlike the other popular guilds, where there were strict regulations and restrictions, there were barely any in the Vanguard Guild. But the most important aspect was its fairness toward each mber.
He thought there would be quite snobbish elites looking down on others. Unfortunately, he was wrong.
Rather than looking down, it was more correct that each of them was supportive yet competitive at the sa ti.
Take the Training Hall, for example.
Although one could train alone in the hall, the effect would be better if trained with another player or more.
"You’re really not going to kick
out?" Z3roTrace called out when he spotted Xu Feng had walked quite a distance.
"Until you have actually hard the guild’s value or mbers, I have no reason to kick you out." Xu Feng calmly responded.
"And if you don’t believe my words, then you are free to investigate Benson’s fate."
Upon hearing Benson’s na, a look of disdain flashed across Z3roTrace’s face.
Even though he joined late, he had heard about the latter’s infamous deed.
It was actually a shocker to many that he was still able to remain in the guild after such a stunt.
If even such a person could remain in the guild, then what was wrong with him staying?
After all, he never sabotaged or hard the guild itself. The only thing he tried but didn’t actually commit was trying to assassinate Xu Feng.
"Are you trying to make
drop the mission and beco an asset to your guild?" Z3roTrace suddenly questioned. He refused to believe there could be sothing so beneficial for him without any hidden intention.
In response to his inquiry, Xu Feng simply laughed coldly.
"Don’t think too highly of yourself. Our guild has the Demoness, and I doubt I need to explain further."
After saying so, his silhouette could no longer be seen, leaving Z3roTrace in a daze. As much as he disliked being underestimated, he truly couldn’t do much when being compared to the Demoness.
Nobody would be foolish enough to try to court death against the Demoness.
Although it was true that so fanatics wished to be killed by her, they all wanted it without resisting. It cannot be grouped with rational players who refused adamantly to get on the Demoness’ nerves.
You don’t even need the Demoness to personally make a move when her loyal group of Demoness Captives would gladly eliminate them on her behalf.
Soon, a cold chill ran down Z3roTrace’s spine.
’Ugh, screw it! I’ll just drop the assassination matter against the Guild Leader. Either way, they wouldn’t know I failed if I didn’t admit to failing anyway. I can just have it ongoing.’ Z3roTrace smirked, finding himself a great loophole to avoid a stained record.
Praising his own clever mind, Z3roTrace suddenly received a ssage from his fellow training comrades.
"Heh, it’s just right that I need to practice concealing my killing intent." He murmured. Having been caught and exposed because of that slight leakage made him realize that he needed more practice.
As Z3roTrace readily agreed to the etup to do so training, elsewhere, Xu Feng had promptly returned to the Phantasm Sea after finishing greeting Handso Chao.
Upon his arrival at the Sea, he found himself returning to where he was left off, albeit with many different changes in the environnt.
