Chapter 1131: Vanguard Guild Vs Miracle Pavilion Part 6
After being blasted by having a cringeworthy and childish dialogue, Farukas’s eyes narrowed coldly. Intense bloodlust could be detected from him.
"You’re not the summoner!" Farukas comnted, his eyes darting everywhere before pausing on Luther.
"He’s the summoner?"
The demon nearly choked on his own saliva when he witnessed the pathetic sight of Luther. If it weren’t for the strand of connection, then he would have believed the summoner was Carn.
While Farukas was sowhat disappointed, Carn continued her sarcastic remarks.
"Um, I am the summoner," Carn said and summoned a few Elentalists. "See! If I’m not the summoner, then how can I summon these little cuties?"
"..."
Unamused and actually offended by being compared to those lowly elentalist, Farukas roared thunderously.
"You have a lot of nerve!" His horns glowed in a purplish color, signifying his agitated emotion.
"Well, thank you?" Carn appeared very innocent.
"To face you directly without any avoidance is considered a major feat. After all, you really don’t have a pleasing look. No offense, though. I know it’s not your fault to be born ugly. So just win in the genes whilst others...not so much." She added, seemingly trying to justify her courage.
As soon as Carn finished her explanation, the atmosphere turned rather awkward.
Farukas had never expected his remark to be treated in such a humiliating way.
Luther, on the other hand, realized why she was once again called the demoness by the collective players.
’Even in the face of a Tier 2 Demon, she could still be the one at the top. Heavens... just where did she co from?’ He cried inwardly.
His initial confidence in the Tier 2 Demon’s arrival with high attributes started to dwindle fast.
After all, in just a few exchanges, Farukas was at a disadvantage before the actual fight even began.
"Keep your eyes wide open, Luther." Xu Feng suddenly detained Luther with so spells and said, "This is going to be a nightmare for you and the Miracle Pavilion. Don’t think that your organization is still going to remain the sa as in previous gas."
Luther’s pupils constricted upon hearing that. He swallowed a mouthful of saliva, unable to refute any of his words.
The only thing he could do was heed Xu Feng’s advice and record the scene.
But precisely because of the multiple restrictions on the battlefield, the cost to record was actually set at a whopping price of 10 gold coins.
The price was automatically set by the System, ensuring that the players understand the value of the current scene.
’It’s worth 10 gold coins??!’ Luther was astonished. The highest he had ever paid for a recording fee was rely 1 gold coin. And that was during the ti of the major event against the Colossus siege.
If that kind of major event cost only 1 gold coin, then he couldn’t fathom the significance of this scene which cost many tis higher.
While Luther remained in a daze, Xu Feng was also recording the battle.
’Only 10 gold coins? So cheap!’ He exclaid inwardly, feeling like he had gained a bargain.
A fight between two Tier 2 at this current stage was extrely important.
To only cost 10 gold coins to record, he believed the system must have thought nobody would be wealthy enough to record the scene.
Soti later, Xu Feng swiftly paid the fee to begin the recording.
"Um, can you spare
so gold coins?" Out of nowhere, Luther suddenly pleaded with him for so coins.
"I’m a little bit short on funds to record." He continued, clearly knowing that he needed to be honest here if he wished to borrow money.
In response to the pleading, Xu Feng rubbed his chin amusingly.
"How short are you actually in?"
"... about 7 gold coins"
Hah!
What a damn joke!
You called that being a little short on funds?
That was literally over three-fourths of the total cost that he was missing!
"Sure, I can lend them to you at an interest rate of 500%." Xu Feng calmly said.
"500%??!" Dumbfounded, Luther’s expression quickly twisted into an ugly look.
You might as well rob a damn bank for charging such a high interest.
Essentially, if he truly borrowed at that kind of interest rate, he would have to cough up around 35 gold coins in return for 7 gold coins.
"You are free to reject it. I’m not the one who desperately needs so recording to be used as evidence for the failure of the siege." Xu Feng snickered coldly.
"Ah, you can also forget about other players being able to record. I have already concealed the entire place, aning nobody else but us can see the upcoming battle."
He wasn’t deceiving Luther in this aspect.
Although he wanted others to be frightened by Carn’s Tier 2 power, he didn’t want to let others know it for free.
Not to ntion, a Tier 2 Demon being summoned would definitely wreak enough havoc near the outskirts of his town.
It was better off sealing the area away to prevent the battlefield from sustaining too much of the damage.
The Vanguard Guild Vs the Miracle Pavilion could be said to be over once Carn took action.
Right now, the battle has shifted to a fight between two Tier 2.
There was a simple analogy of this aspect.
When experts fought, re ants were no longer of significance.
As the battle was about to begin between the two experts, Luther finally gritted his teeth and shut his eyes.
"FINE!" He exclaid loudly. "I’ll agree to the interest rate. So hurry up and lend
the 7 gold coins!"
Just like Xu Feng had guessed correctly, Luther needed so concrete evidence to explain the failure of the siege. If he failed to even obtain this kind of critical evidence, which clearly depicted why he lost the siege, then he would truly be discarded like so garbage bag.
"Happy to do business with a buffoon." Xu Feng smirked and handed him a contract. He didn’t even bat an eyelid at Luther as his attention was focused on the Miracle Pavilion’s players being blasted by the ballistic missile.
The battle lasted for nearly an hour, but only one side suffered trendously.
