Chapter 1005: Seeded Fighter
As the trio ca to realize their previous discussion was extrely laughable, they all took a sip of their drink.
"Does our previous deal still count?" Xu Feng suddenly inquired.
"Why not?" Rebecca shrugged. "The information listed here is nice, but there’s no comntary. Moreover, it doesn’t take into consideration the fight in real-ti."
Nodding in agreent, Allison chid in, "Nobody could accurately predict what would happen when the fight begins."
"Phew, I’m glad that my money is safe and sound then." Xu Feng heaved a sigh of relief and patted his chest.
When the two saw his behavior, they began laughing. Needless to say, the two of them knew Xu Feng was lightening the mood.
They had just discovered so of the corruption in the city competition that was proclaid to be fair and equal.
"Anyway, now that you know their information, can you make a judgnt?" Rebecca clasped her hands and asked.
Although the information was available for them to see, she and Allison were ignorant of what it was about.
The situation was similar to giving an electronic device to a toddler. The toddler wouldn’t know how to use the electronic device compared to soone who knows how to operate it.
"Give
a few monts," Xu Feng calmly replied. His eyes began scanning through the information and the techniques that these two fighters had.
"Well, you better hurry. The betting pool ends in 1 minute." Rebecca urged. She was initially taken aback by the corruption, but her mind soon began to calculate on earning another fortune. She was hailed from a finance family after all.
As for Allison, she was still slightly on the fence about whether it was right to bet with such advanced information or not. But having been a professor, she had long understood the concept of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.
Only a few individuals manage to break through the barrier and rise.
"Alright, I got it." Xu Feng clasped his hands and proceeded to inform Rebecca which fighter to bet on.
Without hesitation, Rebecca swiftly placed the highest limit she could on the fighter he chose.
The ti was quite clutch as it ended 3 seconds once the bet was placed.
"Alright, let’s see if we are winning or losing." Rebecca rubbed her hands together with a sowhat sinister gaze.
Shaking her head, Allison realized her friend’s bad habit was starting to kick in again.
"Just don’t cry too much when you lose." She gently advised her.
Ti quickly went by, and Xu Feng was once again correct in his judgnt.
The trio continued to win until the match proceeded to the 33rd, which happened to be Zhao Kai’s turn.
His opponent hailed from Blumon City nad Hughie.
Rebecca was about to turn on the information to check the fighter’s information when Xu Feng directly said, "Place all the bets on Zhao Kai."
"Eh, but we haven’t seen their data yet?"
"Doesn’t matter. I’m betting on Kai regardless."
Confused, Rebecca knitted her brows and glanced at Allison.
Seeing her friend’s confused look, Allison smiled lightly.
"That fighter is Xu Feng’s buddy." She explained. Granted that they had witnessed nurous fighters already, it was only natural that Rebecca had forgotten about Zhao Kai.
After all, there wasn’t much interaction between the two, to begin with.
"Ah, is that so?" Having realized the situation, Rebecca swiftly nodded and placed the bet on Zhao Kai.
anwhile, on the battle stage, Peter began to excitedly introduce the fighters.
"On our left side, we have Blumon City Hughie, otherwise known as the destroyer. His power punches could easily penetrate the steel wall with extre ease."
Once the introduction was made, Hughie erged to the stage on the left side, his hands raised up to beckon for the cheers to consu the stage.
His physique and overall body muscles were toned to perfection. Despite the aggression contained in its eyes, there was a trace of patience.
Hughie knew so information about the opponent he drew this ti. It was soone trained by the famous Alfred, so he couldn’t afford to be careless.
Sure enough, the crowd was only riled up further when Peter began introducing Zhao Kai.
"On the right side, we have a new fighter in this stage, Zhao Kai," Peter announced.
And before the crowd could question anything, he continued, "Now, he might be new, but don’t underestimate him. He’s trained by the one and only Alfred, making Zhao Kai a direct disciple."
"Trained by Elder Alfred?"
"This youth isn’t simple then."
"But Hughie is also a seeded fighter. How are we supposed to bet on this match?"
The crowd was placed in a dilemma. Initially, they all thought betting on Hughie was a surefire win.
However, the re fact that Zhao Kai was a direct disciple of Alfred made them hesitate.
While the crowd was debating internally, on the battle stage, Hughie’s eyes narrowed.
"I hope you’re not just so rich heir who latched onto Elder Alfred through connection." Hughie snickered coldly. "If you really pulled so connection, then don’t bla
for crippling you."
What fighters hate the most are those who use their connection to gain fa!
So with a single glance, Hughie was able to perceive Zhao Kai wasn’t an experienced fighter, much less soone who had fought a lot.
"You might as well worry for yourself instead." In response, Zhao Kai smirked. His eyes darted to a certain VIP Booth and mused.
"A buddy of mine is watching , so I can only apologize in advance."
"Apologize?" Confused, Hughie wasn’t able to comprehend his aning.
"Yes, an apology. As a seeded fighter, your first battle happened to be
who will puml you to the ground." Zhao Kai stretched his neck. "It’s a pity for your career, but what can I say? It’s your misfortune to have drawn ."
"Hmph, arrogant words." Realizing that Zhao Kai was spouting nonsense, Hughie’s impression of the forr dropped drastically.
"I was going to leave so face to Elder Alfred initially. Unfortunately, your foul mouth would be your demise."
