After Dou Yurui and Dou Xiangling left, only Zi Yi and Dou Yue'er remained there listening to the group of professors reminiscing about the past.
Zi Yi preferred listening to this. She felt that it was more exciting compared to reading a book.
However, Dou Yue'er could not sit still after a few minutes had passed. She gently nudged Zi Yi. "Cousin Yiyi, let's go out and play too."
Zi Yi tilted her head and looked at her. "Where?"
Dou Yue'er thought for a mont and suddenly thought of a place. "There's a comic exhibition in Nancheng Park today. Why don't we go there and take a look?"
The Fourth Madam, who just so happened to walk past, overheard their conversation and she said to Dou Yue'er with a grim expression, "If you want to go, go alone. Yiyi cannot run about right now."
Dou Yue'er wrinkled her nose. "It will be so boring if I go by myself."
"In that case, you better sit still at ho. Or you can find your neighbors in the community."
After the Fourth Madam said that, she turned to Zi Yi and said, "Yiyi, don't listen to Yue'er and go to those places that are too crowded. What will you do if you accidentally bump into soone or sothing?"
Zi Yi knew that the Fourth Madam was worried about her and so, she nodded her head. "Fourth Aunt, I'm not going."
The Fourth Madam breathed a sigh of relief and took her leave.
The mont the Fourth Madam left, Dou Yue'er sighed and said, "This New Year is really boring."
Zi Yi suddenly thought of sothing. "Do you not go to your Mother's side to pay a New Year's greeting?"
"We went yesterday." Dou Yue'er said, "There are always tons of people coming to pay New Year's greetings whenever it's the New Year. Yesterday we only went back to my Grandfather's place for half a day before we ca back."
The four madams were unable to go back to their maternal family for an entire day. Otherwise, they would have difficulty attending to the guests that co to visit the Dou Family.
Dou Yue'er propped her chin on her hand and thought for so ti before she pulled Zi Yi's sleeve. "Cousin Yiyi, why don't you bring to your house near M.Uni to take a look? I heard from Fourth Sis that it's extrely beautiful there."
Zi Yi thought for a bit. It had been a few days since she returned to her place and she was originally planning to go back and start doing experints in the following days. In the end, she nodded her head. "Alright then, go and tell Grandfather and the rest first."
Both of them inford Elder Dou and the rest. The Madams were worried and so, they got Dou Zerui who was also still at ho to drive them over.
In fact, Dou Zerui did not want to go out at all. He finally managed to get a holiday and he wanted to coop himself up at ho. Therefore, when they were getting in the car, he was still complaining here and there. "There's food and drinks at ho and instead of staying at ho to relax, you insist on going out. What's so fun about going out?"
"I want to check out Cousin Yiyi's house near M.Uni."
"What's there to check out? It's only larger than our house."
Dou Yue'er did not want to talk to Dou Zerui and so, she turned her head and purposely asked Zi Yi, "Cousin Yiyi, do you know why Brother Rui can't get a girlfriend?"
Zi Yi answered, "His speech is too irritating."
"Yes, that's right. Your summary is spot on."
"Hey, hey, hey, you can talk as you want to, but don't attack , alright?!" Dou Zerui slapped the steering wheel unhappily.
Zi Yi and Dou Yurui pretended not to hear him expressing his dissatisfaction. Dou Yue'er started to talk about how he chased away girls who had good feelings toward him because of how he is so poison-tongued.
Zi Yi happily laughed at that.
The New Year in the capital was extrely lively and there was a large flow of traffic on the main streets. After driving out of the community, Dou Zerui asked the two of them, "Do you want to go around the central area to shop?"
The both of them shook their heads at the sa ti.
"That's good. I'll take the back road to head to Cousin Yiyi's place."
Both of them did not have an opinion.
The road Dou Zerui ntioned was a relatively secluded old street. The whole street was lined with trees and many people liked to co here to rest during the sumr. However, it was very chilly during the winter, and rarely was there anyone who was willing to co here.
There were so small shops on both sides of the street and they were selling all kinds of small gadgets. During the New Year, most of these shops were closed and it was very quiet whenever cars drove past.
Dou Yue'er would usually hear about all kinds of stories about corpses that had been abandoned from Dou Yurui and she suddenly said, "This street looks pretty eerie. Do you think there would be any cases of corpses that have been abandoned here?"
Dou Zerui said, "What inauspicious words are you saying during the New Year? There are just relatively more trees here and what do you an by 'it's eerie'?"
Just then, Zi Yi's watch vibrated and she took out her phone to take a look. Shadow had sent her a ssage. "Master, there's danger on this street."
Zi Yi's expression froze and she quickly typed a ssage. "Protect this car."
Shadow responded: "Yes."
Dou Zerui just so happened to see Zi Yi's strange expression through the rearview mirror and he asked, "Yiyi, what's wrong?"
Zi Yi put away her phone. She did not answer his question and instead, she said, "You can drive faster."
Her words caused a chill to run through Dou Zerui and he subconsciously stepped on the accelerator.
However, not long after the car picked up speed, another car quickly appeared in front of them and parked horizontally across the road.
Screech—
"Ah-"
Dou Yue'er grabbed Zi Yi's hand in fright.
Dou Zerui also broke out in cold sweat.
"What should we do? Why is that car trying to stop us?"
Dou Yue'er was so frightened that her voice was trembling in fear.
Dou Zerui cald himself down and said, "Sit tight. I'll turn the car around."
"It's too late." As soon as Zi Yi said that, sure enough, another large car blocked their retreating path.
Zi Yi quickly tapped on her watch and said to the two, "We'll remain in the car. Nothing will happen to us."
Seeing how calm Zi Yi was, Dou Zerui and Dou Yue'er also cald down.
At this mont, two individuals alighted from each car and all four of them were headed for Zi Yi's car.
When they had only managed to take two steps forward, two robots appeared next to them.
Both parties imdiately got into a fight with each other.
Dou Yue'er looked in front and then quickly turned to the back. Looking at the robots fighting those n in black, her mouth had ford an 'O' shape.
"Cousin, I can't believe you bring invisible robots with you wherever you go. Isn't this too aweso?"
As soon as Dou Yurui said that, the four n in black were restrained by the robots.
Zi Yi pushed the door open.
Dou Zerui and Dou Yurui alighted together with her.
Zi Yi walked over to the n in black who were restrained together. She recognized them in a single glance.
She looked at them and the corner of her lips curved up. "You must be the hitn Yunxiao is currently looking for."
One of the n in black looked at Zi Yi and there was a bloodthirsty glint in his eyes.
Dou Yue'er was so scared that she hid behind Dou Zerui.
"This person's eyes are so scary."
Zi Yi's gaze turned cold and she raised her hand to point at them. "Take care of them."
Two of the robots each carried one man in their hand and headed to one side.
The three of them headed back to the car. When they were about to get in, Zi Yi suddenly sensed extre danger headed in their direction.
"Master, be careful."
"Shadow, track the sniper and take care of him."
"Yes, Master."
"Shadow II, protect them."
Shadow II ran away with Dou Yue'er and Dou Zerui in each of his hands.
Zi Yi quickly took out a circular ball and threw it in the air. After a protective barrier was ford, she quickly ran in an opposite direction.
Following that, a powerful explosion sounded from behind.
BOOM!
In the midst of the explosion, the car also exploded.
Zi Yi stopped and looked at the car that was blown into pieces. Just as she was about to take out her phone to call Lu Yunxiao, she saw soone running over quickly.
