I sleep well that night despise sharing an unfamiliar room with another person, but my brain understood it to be a needed rest before battle, to be a vital for what it is to co and shot down for the night.
So, while I stretch my arms and wings up, popping a few bones, I give a satisfied relaxed sigh that one could only give after a long harsh day with a well rested night’s sleep.
"Glad soone had such a great sleep." The devil says beside , and a rare genuine smile appears on my face at the dissatisfied tone of his voice.
"I did, thank you for noticing." He grunts in response, which only stretches my lips wider.
I can understand his behavior a little better now for if teasing him can be this fun it is hard to stop from doing so like he has many tis done with , only that is so there is so much to hide that I only dare do so behind the veil of darkness.
Oh, and of course, having him tied up and blindfolded helped in that regard as well.
He moves about as much as he can, and continues to be grumpy: "Well, now that you had your fun can you untied ?"
"In a mont." I say, taking my ti into locking my tail and wing back into their clothed cages, and even though I had asures prepared in case of them appearing... well, I already caught more attention than I wished for with the veil which was a necessity if I did not want to bewitch all around , and only when I have it back in place plus my outer battle cape over my wings do I go and untie him.
He looks at in annoyance and anger, but I know it to be forced by the little turn up his lips make, and by the glint that sines in his eyes. He was enjoying this play the rascal.
It did not surprise though.
"Well, when I thought of sharing a room with you while being all tied up I had other things in mind you know..."
I ignore what his words might intel holding back a roll of eyes but seems that today he was not having any of it so when I free him and turn to stand and move away he suddenly grabs the lapel of my clothes and pulls closer to him, enough so that I could see his eyes shining even with the veil and the darkness between us.
Seems like soone is growing bold I see... especially when he takes his ti before saying anything, trying to search my eyes for sothing, daring to react.
"There is no point in denying it any longer..." Ethan drags the words out, intense eyes roaming and firm grip, proving his skills were not only for show at all.
"There is no denying if there is nothing to deny for." I say, but instead of a sarcastic remark and an embarrassed chuckle as I expected him to react as he surprises next by reaching out with his free hand next, and out of instinct I pull from his grip and yet instead of letting go he actually holds tighter to keep in place and does so with concerning ease.
"Shh, no need to fret." He whispers but doesn’t stop, and my taken by surprised heart starts beating loudly against my chest as his hand invades the unseen space behind my veil and starts tracing my face, first hesitantly as if maneuvering a delicate glass piece, eyes glued where mine were, as searching for a repulsive reaction of my part, and when I do not pull back his hands grow bold and start drawing my face as I blind trying to see, passing my jawline, the tip of the fingers brushing my hottening skin, a path of fire left behind until he stops close to my mouth, wavering as if afraid to scare away, and yet daring enough to not stop there and actually trace my bottom lip slowly but surely with his tumb, engraving its shape and texture with his fingers, and all is so sudden and new that I caught myself with my lips half open and shivering to the touch.
And that’s when I snap out of it and slap his hand out of my face, uncaring about my image at that mont as I force my arm free and stumble two steps back and apart from him when he finally weakens his grip on .
"You don’t need to hide from you know... Whatever reason you have to hide yourself, know that you can trust , above all things don’t forget that..." He stands tall, and sothing in the way he moves, even in the almost pitch black darkness that makes even my night vision a little burry, makes take a step back and stop when I notice the coward fleeing movent, giving him enough ti to catch up to and put his arms up on the wall that I had backed onto, caging against it and engulfing in his warmth and scent.
At first he does not say anything, only turning his head to the side like a curious cat, staring intensely, his strong overwhelming presence is embracing all over, making unable to take my gaze away from his, only hearing my loud heartbeat as I feel his warm breath brushing my skin and that, at that right mont, is when I understood.
That this devil maybe be a fool sotis, joke around all over, laugh it all out, but this...whatever this is... he is dead serious about, and he truly wanted for so reason.
My mind is buzzing with the information, going wild, and yet no coherent thought forms as I watch, frozen in place, as he moves ever so slowly and starts raising my veil up making feel as exposed as if I have been standing naked in front of him as my chin, my jaw, and lips co to view, and I’m not sure what, if anything, would have happened at that right mont; worst of all, I did not know what I expect that would happen; when there is a knock on the door.
"Misters good morning, I’m here you guide you to the breakfast table." And with that the spell is broken and I duck away from his grasp, past his arm and away from his reach.
"We will be out in a mont." I say, thankful that my voice still stayed firm, sohow, as my mind and racing heart definitely weren’t calm at all... because I just almost let him take my veil out without resisting.
What was wrong with ?
And I did not know what that ant nor what he intended to do after raising my veil but I know that, at that single mont, with his arms around and his gaze directed to mine, that I would have let him.
Dear mother, whatever it was, I would have let him.
