Humans have actually explored this place?
Looking at the situation in front of him, Shami, who thought he had done a good job keeping the Demon Realm a secret, was puzzled.
"Where did these people co from?"
"Are you the damn Charlo?"
Among the humans, a forty-year-old male Mage glared at Shami.
"..."
"It’s Shami, you bunch of idiots, don’t mispronounce the Demon King’s na."
The white-haired girl beside hurriedly defended her master, glaring back unceremoniously.
Beside Shami, Aowu began to complain loudly and explained the identities of these intruders attacking the Demon Realm.
"Aowu, Aowu, Aowuu!"
"Ah~ so it’s the rcenaries sent by the Gold Mining family, the West Well Clan~ If you hadn’t ntioned it, I would have forgotten we offended such big shots~ It turns out because your Fishn have a migratory habit, it led them to your tracks, and they followed all the way here to the Demon Realm~"
With Aowu’s explanation, Shami imdiately recalled this matter, then punched Aowu.
"That’s what you get for cutting off the ○○ of the other family’s duke so recklessly! Now they’ve co knocking on our door! And you’ve exposed my Demon Realm too!"
"Aowu QAQ"
Family sha should not be publicized.
Shami quickly ceased admonishing Aowu and turned his attention back to the twenty-sothing people in front, slowly walking towards them with a polite smile.
"You all are the first humans to arrive in the Demon Realm."
"Stop talking nonsense, hurry up and return the ○○ of West Well Clan’s young masters."
"Demons don’t have special preservation technology; you can imagine, with the ○○ cut off this long, it’s surely rotten and can’t be reattached."
The twenty-sothing people looked fierce, displaying a rather desperate deanor. The leading male Mage, with a scar on his face, also sported a determined expression unwilling to leave without the ○○.
As a level 48 Mage, he was confident in his strength, but now facing the Demon King and the two Demon Envoys behind him, he couldn’t help but feel anxious.
Yet, the rcenaries behind him depended on him; their morale entirely hinged on his performance.
The male Mage feigned calmness and negotiated with Shami.
"Anyway, our mission is to retrieve the ○○ of a few young masters, whether it’s rotten or intact is none of our concern. If you don’t want a fight, just hand over the ○○."
"Hmm~"
Shami stood his ground, looking thoughtfully at the male Mage.
The male Mage swallowed nervously.
"Don’t underestimate us; if a fight breaks out, it will be bloody, and both sides will suffer. We’re ruthless people, and even if we die, we’ll make you pay the price!"
"Hmm~"
"...Of course, it’s best if we can resolve it peacefully... I can compromise and give you half of the commission, how about that?"
"Hmm~"
With Shami’s continuous unaffected "hmm", the male Mage gradually broke into a cold sweat.
The invisible pressure from standing before the Demon King made his heart beat as fiercely as if it were inside a drum being pounded.
Moreover, there was an even more terrifying aura present than the Demon King.
The white-haired girl, standing not far away, should be the Sword Demon Envoy, Oka Lina.
Why is she holding a sword and chanting as if preparing to unleash a spell that can level a mountain?
"If worse cos to worst, I can give you the entire commission... Being a rcenary group is not easy, running through the wilderness all the ti, either going to a fight or returning from a comrade’s funeral... It’s hard to make so money while still looking at the employer’s face... I originally wanted to be a photographer... Once this mission is done, I’m quitting this line of work... Consider this my final battle; at least let complete the commission..."
Behind the male Mage, the twenty-sothing people sensed sothing wrong, and their faces turned pale.
The speech had shifted from the deadly serious ’won’t stop until reaching the goal’ to a peace-loving negotiation, and now to philosophical life discussions...
Clearly, he’s chickened out!
"Of course, no problem." Shami scoffed, "I’m the Demon King, not a thief. Since my subordinate accidentally cut off soone’s little bird, then of course it should be returned."
Shami turned and gestured to Aowu.
Aowu thoughtfully ran back to the Fishman Tribe to fetch the treasured items.
During the waiting period.
"The Demon King is more approachable than I imagined," the male Mage thought with relief.
"But, about the damage you’ve caused to the flowers and plants..."
Shami gestured to the uneven ground around from the battle.
"We’ll pay for it!"
"And the wear and tear on the magic shield of our Demon Realm from this fight..."
"We’ll pay for it!"
"And the dical fees for the Fishn you injured..."
"We’ll pay for it!"
"And also the ancient jade worth over ten thousand Gold Coins you accidentally broke..."
Shami held out a cracked walnut he toyed with casually and looked over innocently.
"We didn’t break that! We haven’t even touched you!"
"We’ll pay for it!"
The male Mage blocked his dissatisfied subordinate with one hand, clenching his teeth.
If they could complete this commission for the West Well Clan and retrieve what they wanted from the Demon King, their rcenary group’s fa would surely skyrocket, reaping both reputation and profit.
Faced with Shami’s sudden blackmail, the male Mage understood the gravity of the situation.
Soon.
Aside from the clothes on their backs, the twenty-sothing people were left without a penny, holding cups of tea handed by skeleton soldiers, looking gloomily at the cheerfully smiling Shami.
"How can we possibly refuse?"
Shami waved for the skeleton soldiers to cart away the mountain of equipnt and treasures.
Not long after, Aowu returned with several bottles filled with Antiseptic Potion.
Shami handed the bottles to the male Mage.
The male Mage couldn’t hide his inner excitent.
Shami smiled while tossing the bottles over for the male Mage to inspect.
The atmosphere was filled with festive joy.
"One last thing, have you disclosed the information about coming here?"
Shami smiled as he spoke.
"Yes, our deputy has already left."
Before the male Mage could respond, a warrior behind him blurted out.
Shami’s expression shifted instantly.
The male Mage predicted trouble and his lips trembled.
"It’s impolite to casually disclose soone else’s address!"
"Run!—Frozen Magic!"
The male Mage quickly tried to retreat.
But it was too late. The white-haired girl beside had been prepared, unleashing a massive Sword Qi that subdued everyone. Wherever the Sword Qi swept, everyone was knocked out and collapsed onto the ground.
"Strip them and throw them to the Siberian Icefield to feed the wild wolves."
Shami furrowed his brows as he instructed his skeleton soldiers, then turned towards behind him.
"Lina, Lureya, go search around and see if you can find the person carrying the coordinates for the Demon Realm."
"Yes!"
The Elf Maiden and the white-haired girl quickly departed.
Troubles ca one after another, and if even the location of the Demon Realm were exposed, it would an a storm is coming...
Standing alone, Shami took a deep breath, then relaxed.
Since things have co to this, we might as well take it easy.
