I smirked, my blood already boiling in anticipation. "Oh, I plan to."

As the tall one rolled his shoulders and stepped forward, a system window materialized in my field of vision, translucent and glowing faintly.

"Fifty-two percent?" I thought furiously. "That's barely over a coin flip!"
[Correction: It's a weighted coin flip. Congratulations.]
"Helpful as always," I muttered under my breath, unsheathing my sword as Kaelos cracked his knuckles and grinned.
"You sure about this, little bodyguard?" he taunted, his voice dripping with arrogance. "One swing of mine and you're done."
"Big talk from soone compensating for such tiny horns," I shot back.
Enara snorted from behind , clearly enjoying the show. "Don't embarrass yourself, Kaelos. Liria's a lot more vicious than she looks."
Kaelos scowled, charging forward with a burst of speed that made the ground tremble. I barely had ti to dodge as his fist slamd into the spot where I'd been standing, leaving a crater in the stone courtyard.
"Okay, he hits like a runaway dragon," I muttered, rolling to my feet.
[Observation: Physical confrontation with Kaelos is ill-advised. Try not being punched.]
"Gee, thanks!"
I countered with a quick swipe of my sword, aiming for his exposed side. He twisted away, his agility surprising for soone his size. A blast of heat warned of incoming magic, and I ducked just as a searing whip of flas lashed past my head.
Serina grinned wickedly from the side, her whip of fire curling in the air like a snake. "Stay still, darling. I want to see if you char like chicken."
"Pass!" I shouted, summoning a Fireball of my own and hurling it at her. She blocked it effortlessly, her smirk widening.
"That's cute. Did you learn that in kindergarten?"
Behind her, Varik began muttering an incantation, his hands glowing with an eerie blue light.
[Alert: Incoming magic attack. Suggest interrupting caster imdiately.]
"Working on it!" I lunged toward him, but Kaelos intercepted, swinging a massive fist that I barely parried with my blade. The impact reverberated up my arms, but I used the montum to pivot and kick him in the knee.
Kaelos stumbled, giving just enough room to shout, "Stone Shot!"
A chunk of the courtyard ripped free and shot toward Varik, hitting him square in the chest. He yelped, his spell fizzling out as he staggered back.
[Damage inflicted: 300 HP.]
"Not bad for a rock, huh?" I quipped.
[Patting yourself on the back for basic competence now?]
"Shut up!"
Kaelos roared, recovering quickly. He slamd both fists into the ground, sending a shockwave that knocked off my feet.
[Damage sustained: -200 HP.]
"Great. Love that for ," I groaned, scrambling upright.
Serina was already launching another fire whip, this one aid at Enara.
"Oh, no, you don't!" I snapped, throwing up my newly-learned Earth Wall. A barrier of stone erupted between Enara and the whip, absorbing the blow.
Enara raised an eyebrow, her smirk growing. "Nice. Didn't think you had it in you."
"I'm full of surprises," I shot back, breathing hard.
Kaelos was on again, swinging his fists like sledgehamrs. I ducked, rolled, and slashed, landing a shallow cut on his arm.
[Damage inflicted: 150 HP.]
"Barely a scratch!" he laughed, swinging again.
"I'll take what I can get," I muttered, dodging.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Serina readying another spell and Varik recovering from my earlier attack. This was going to be a long fight.
[Combat Status: You're still alive. Congratulations.]
"Not for long at this rate," I muttered.
"Is this your idea of a plan?" Ananara piped up from where he'd rolled to the side, glaring at . "Because I'm not impressed."
"Feel free to help any ti, buddy," I shot back, dodging another swing from Kaelos.
"I'm a pineapple! What do you expect to do, trip them?"
The fight was just heating up. Literally Serina's spells were starting to leave scorch marks on the courtyard stones. This wasn't going to be easy, but I wasn't about to back down. Not when Enara was watching.
Kaelos swung again, his massive fist cutting through the air with a whooshing sound that made flinch. I barely dodged, the wind from the blow ruffling my hair as I ducked and rolled away.
[Reminder: Your opponent is Level 18. His fists are rated "Certified Bone-Crushers." Try not to beco a fine powder.]
"Thanks, system! I hadn't noticed!" I hissed back telepathically.
Kaelos laughed, flexing his fists. "You're quick, I'll give you that. But you can't run forever."
"Oh, I'm not running," I shot back, raising my sword. "I'm pacing myself. You know, gotta give you a chance to catch your breath."
[Observation: Trash talk effectiveness—low. Recomnd focusing on combat.]
Serina, anwhile, was preparing another attack. Her whip of flas coiled in her hand, the heat distorting the air around her. "How about I speed this up for you, darling?" she purred, snapping the whip toward .
I summoned Earth Wall again, blocking the attack, but the strain of consecutive spells was starting to wear on . My magic reserves were dipping dangerously low.
[Magic: 600/1400. Suggest conserving resources before you beco a sitting duck.]
"Conserve resources? Against three enemies? Genius idea, thanks!" I growled.
"Stop talking to yourself and focus!" Enara barked, still watching from the sidelines. Her arms were crossed, her gaze sharp and unforgiving. "If you can't handle this, why are you even here?"
"Because I'm your bodyguard, obviously!" I snapped, parrying another blow from Kaelos.
"Bodyguard or comic relief? Hard to tell," she retorted.
Kaelos chuckled, clearly enjoying our bickering. "You two are cute. Too bad you won't last long."
I grit my teeth, feeling the heat of Serina's magic on one side and the brute force of Kaelos on the other. This wasn't just a fight it was survival.
