As everyone looked at the information about the Demon Overlords, the atmosphere in the room began to shift. Tension transford into focus—so looked energized, others deeply serious. There was a sense of urgency in the air, like everyone was finally seeing the full scale of what they were up against.
I took a step forward and spoke firmly.
"Everyone present at this council, please lend your attention. I will now explain in detail the individual profiles of each Demon Overlord, starting from the fifth-ranked."
All eyes turned to . I could feel the pressure in the air. I took a deep breath.
Runa, who stood quietly beside , gave a supportive look. "You can do this, Master," she said softly.
Serena and Alia also nodded in reassurance, their confidence giving strength.
I began my explanation slowly but clearly.
"First, we’ll discuss the fifth-ranked Overlord—Athyst Onyx, the Corrupt Elents Sovereign. Although she is ranked lowest among the five known Demon Overlords, do not let that mislead you. She is far from weak or easily defeated."
I reached for the page of her profile floating in the air and magically magnified it, projecting it like a large screen for all to see.
"As her title suggests, she has complete mastery over the elental forces. But she doesn’t just control them—she corrupts them. I don’t fully understand what a ’corrupt elent’ entails, but based on my understanding of Dark Magic, it seems to be a twisted version of ordinary elental magic. If you face Athyst in battle, it’s highly likely that your elental spells could be seized, altered, and turned against you in a corrupted form."
I paused to let the weight of my words settle in.
At that mont, Magic King Salvador stepped forward, his expression grave.
"According to years of research conducted by the Solara Kingdom’s scholars and magicians, corrupt elents are indeed real. They are natural elents—fire, water, wind, earth, light, lightning, and ice—that have been tainted by dark magic. This process is known as corruption, and it transforms a pure elent into a far more destructive, unstable, and volatile form. Though more dangerous, it also becos significantly more powerful."
He flipped open his grimoire and continued, pointing to diagrams of corrupted magical flow.
"Corrupted elents form under extre circumstances—typically when a pure elent fuses with intense dark energy. For example, fire magic becos Corrupt Fla, a black fire capable of burning both the physical body and the soul of its target."
The room went still.
Cain von Flamore’s eyes widened. "That... that’s the sa black fire used by Zorx, the Demon Warlord Rank 2nd. I fought him... He used it to kill Kael..." His voice trembled slightly, his fists clenched in anger. The pain of that mory was still fresh, raw.
"So you’ve witnessed the terror of a corrupted elent firsthand," said Salvador gravely. "And that was just one type. Imagine facing Corrupted Water, Ice, Wind, Lightning, Earth... But, as far as I know, Light and Divine elents are extrely resistant to corruption—if not completely immune."
He added firmly, "That’s because those two elents stand in direct opposition to dark magic. Their very nature repels corruption."
Salvador then recalled a piece of ancient history.
"There is a record from the First Demon War—an account of a powerful demon who nearly killed the first Magic King of Solara. That demon rendered human spells completely ineffective. I believe that demon was none other than Athyst herself."
His words caused a wave of shock to ripple through the room.
I stepped forward again to add to his explanation.
"Thank you, Salvador-sama. That confirms it—it must have been Athyst. There’s also sothing else I must say. The Demon Overlords are not bound by human logic. They are beings that may surpass the very frawork of magic as we understand it. We must consider the possibility that they can distort even the fundantal laws of mana."
"What exactly do you an, Naoki?" Salvador-sama asked, intrigued. "Please explain further. This could be vital for all of us."
I nodded.
"I believe that even Light and Divine Magic—once thought untouchable—may be neutralized by the most powerful of the Overlords. When I fought Lucius Velzareth, the second-ranked Overlord and the Sovereign of Light and Darkness, he had taken over the body of Lucius von Starlight. He was trying to fuse Dark Magic, his own inherent power, with Light Magic, the magic Lucius once wielded."
Gasps echoed throughout the hall.
Raius von Starlight, Julius, and Luna all stood up in shock. They couldn’t believe what they were hearing.
"Is that true? That demon took over my son’s body?!" Raius-sama’s voice shook with rage. Julius looked just as furious.
"Yes... it’s true. But during the battle, I could still feel Lucius’s presence. He hadn’t been completely consud. There’s still hope."
That reassurance brought so peace to their faces, though the fear remained. Then, Magic King Salvador added a grim note.
"If his soul remains, it won’t be for long. The longer he stays under that demon’s control, the deeper he will be pulled into the abyss."
I agreed. "Yes... that’s likely what will happen. But we’ll know more once Princess Aria and my father Tetsu von Blackmore awaken from their coma. They were the only ones who witnessed the transformation of Lucius firsthand."
Everyone nodded. There was tension, but also hope.
I continued with another point, this ti addressing Divine Magic.
"For now, I agree with Salvador-sama’s theory—Divine Magic seems immune to corruption. I haven’t found a single instance of corrupted Divine Magic, which suggests that it’s either impossible or requires an unknown catalyst beyond our understanding."
I shared what I had learned from discussions with Envi and Runa, especially Runa, who had once fought gods and goddesses herself.
"Runa told she can’t manipulate Divine Magic like she can with other forms of mana. She can only absorb or nullify its damage by adapting to it—but not control it."
Runa nodded silently beside , her presence a quiet affirmation.
I then addressed everyone present in the chamber, sharing a temporary hypothesis I had developed based on my experiences and gathered information.
"My current theory is this: the effectiveness of Light Magic and Divine Magic against the Demon Overlords depends on the magnitude of the magic power itself. In other words, for these holy elents to damage an Overlord, they must be stronger than the Overlord’s own magical force."
I paused before continuing.
"For example, when Princess Aria fought Nosef, the Demon Overlord Ranked 3rd, she wasn’t able to defeat him outright. However, her Divine Magic did harm him—gradually weakening him over ti."
I clenched my fists slightly as I recalled that battle.
"That’s why when I eventually fought Nosef, he wasn’t aware he had already been weakened. He had underestimated the damage from Princess Aria’s earlier attacks. That gave the edge I needed... and I was able to land a fatal blow."
My words stirred murmurs among those listening, and then King Aslan stepped forward and nodded in agreent.
"When I fought Xir, the Demon Warlord Ranked 1st, I lost... because my Divine Magic had greatly weakened due to my age and illness. I no longer held the strength I had in my youth," he admitted solemnly. "As for Alia... her Divine Magic is still developing. She wasn’t strong enough to overco Xir either."
He looked down, heavy with the mory of that battle. Then he added sothing important.
"If Princess Aria had fought Xir instead of ... I have no doubt. She would have won."
Those words made Alia lower her gaze. I could see the frustration in her eyes—the frustration of knowing she wasn’t strong enough, at least not yet.
I gently reached out and took her hand.
"It’s okay. You’re growing stronger every day," I said softly.
She looked up and smiled faintly, squeezing my hand in return.
But then... I suddenly felt a cold, sharp presence to my right.
Turning my head slightly, I saw Serena and Lyra both smiling stiffly. They were clearly... not pleased. Even Lord Sieg was glaring daggers at .
Ah. Right. I had gotten too focused on comforting Alia and forgot they were all right beside .
I quickly cleared my throat and tried to change the subject.
"Ahem. Now then, returning to the topic of Athyst Onyx, the Corrupt Elents Sovereign..."
I brought up her file again using the [Akashic Record]. Her magical prowess was undeniably vast and dangerous, but...
"According to the [Akashic Record], she has a critical weakness—physical attacks, specifically those involving Forced Aura. That ans the roles of the rcenary King and Queen will be essential in defeating her."
I turned toward them both, my voice firm with hope.
Everyone else followed my gaze. It was well-known that no one alive could match the sheer physical strength and Aura mastery of the rcenary King and Queen. They were, quite literally, the embodint of raw power.
"Ahhh, alright already! I get it! So stop staring at like that!" said the rcenary Queen, looking a little flustered.
...Was she actually a tsundere?
"We’ll be your shield and sword," said rcenary King Yunho, speaking calmly yet with unmistakable conviction.
He then added, "Back during the first demon war, I believe Athyst was defeated by the first rcenary King. That knowledge strengthens my belief that we can do it again."
There was a confidence in his deanor that was almost terrifying. I knew why—his Aura was flaring wildly right now, filled with determination and battle-lust.
He was like a storm wrapped in human flesh, and I was truly grateful that such a force of nature was our ally.
With the Athyst discussion wrapped up, I moved on to the next Overlord.
"Now, let’s shift to the next target—Lilith Doomspire, the Dinsional Sovereign."
Everyone grew quiet once again.
"I will explain both her strengths and her weaknesses... and more importantly, how to counter her dinsional magic."
But just as I was about to continue, the chamber doors opened slowly with a soft creak.
A new presence entered the room.
Imdiately, I could feel it—Divine Magic, and at a level so intense it was nearly overwhelming. This wasn’t just an ordinary cleric or priestess... no, this aura rivaled that of the Braveheart royal family itself.
No. It might even surpass them.
She stepped forward with grace and power—the Saintess of the Braveheart Kingdom.
