Wait—what?

For a second I honestly wondered if my brain had short‑circuited from overcultivating, because there’s no way I just heard that correctly. Either my mind was turning more degenerate... or I was officially losing it.

I blinked, trying to reset reality. ’Focus. Don’t imagine things.’

Once again, I looked her straight in the eyes just to make sure my brain wasn’t playing tricks on . She looked like she wanted to lt into the ground, embarrassed by her own words.

So I wasn’t imagining it.

And it had co out of her—the cute, innocent one who usually acted like holding my sleeve was already pushing the boundaries of propriety.

I exhaled slowly, trying not to let my thoughts wander to dangerous territories.

"I’ll be happy if you do that."

Her head snapped back to , and I could see the faintest flicker of relief in her eyes. But she quickly masked it with another shy smile.

"R-Really? You’d want to?" Her words were softer now, a little more hesitant, as though she was testing to see if I was just saying it to avoid making things awkward.

I nodded, fighting off the chuckle that almost escaped. She was too adorable for her own good. The longer I waited for her to ripen, the more valuable she beca.

Getting girls fast had its perks, but there was sothing charming about slow burn—like grapes turning into wine.

"Yeah, sure, a little help never hurt. I’m actually looking forward to it." I flashed her a grin, one that was probably a little too happy.

"I..." Her cheeks were practically on fire now, but she didn’t look away this ti. Instead, she bit her lip, a tiny, almost imperceptible smile playing on her lips as she nodded.

"I’ll do my best," she gave an overly deep bow before dashing off.

’And there she goes...’

She was definitely trying her best to play it cool. But there was no way she didn’t know that what she just offered was borderline inappropriate

Or maybe, since she was from the Eastern continent, this was just a normal gesture? Like one of those ani monts where everything is just a little too suggestive for fan service?

I shook my head and turned back toward the heart of the camp, pretending like I wasn’t still getting caught up in this whole... thing with her

Once I gave Adam the green light to start on both a public bathhouse and a private one for , I was ready to get back to climb the upper floor. But just as I was about to head off, the sharp, urgent ring of the bell from the watchtower cut through the air.

Without wasting a second, I leapt into action, my Qi propelling toward the tower.

As I landed lightly beside the guard, I noticed another figure standing a few feet away—one of the scouts, his face pale.

"Sir, I just received word," the guard said, his voice thick with frustration. "We have a new group who found the boss room... and they took our loot."

Turning to the scout, I asked, "What happened to your team?"

"My group was attacked. I only managed to escape because of my stealth skill, and I was pretty far when it happened. There were 40 of them, all fully geared, and they looked strong."

I raised an eyebrow. Sothing wasn’t adding up. Who in their right mind would attack without asking questions first?

One word from the scout team about would’ve been more than enough to deter that new group. The remains of the boss alone should’ve been proof enough of my strength.

"Where are they now?"

"They’re still in the boss room, salvaging the remains," the scout replied.

"I’ll handle this alone. Don’t tell anyone,"

I didn’t wait for a reply. I kicked off the platform and bolted into the forest, the trees saring into green streaks around .

It took no ti to reach the cliff. I slipped into the tunnel, my footsteps muffled by the shadows clinging to .

Up ahead, the new group—around forty of them—were digging through the boss remains like they owned the place.

And in the corner, my scouts were tied up and beaten, bruised faces lit by the glow of torches.

My hands curled into fists, but it wasn’t out of concern for them—it was the principle. It was like soone had spit on my toys, desecrating sothing that was mine.

I would looked like a complete pushover if I let this slide.

And the best part?

There was no Hai‑Min here to grab my sleeve and pull back from going full war‑cri mode. No soft voice calling "Big Brother," no wide eyes begging not to stain my hands too much.

Just ... and the idiots who thought they could rob .

BOOM!

The ground cracked under as I landed hard, the shockwave blasting four of their seekers off their feet. They flew back and slid across the floor, weapons scattering everywhere.

When the dust cleared enough for them to see, I was already moving. My shadow rose behind , stretching and twisting like black flas.

"Who the hell gave you the audacity to touch my property?"

My voice slamd through the chamber, bouncing off the stone walls as my aura exploded outward.

The enemies froze. Then panic kicked in. Weapons ca up. Stances shifted. They scrambled into formation.

The scout wasn’t lying. Their armor and weapons looked forged by soone who actually cared about quality.

But one of them caught my eye the most.

A man in a long black coat stepped forward—not rushed, not scared, moving like he had all the ti in the world.

His eyes were closed, yet the tilt of his head told he could see perfectly.

"Are you the one who killed this boss?" he inquired.

"Who else could it be but ?" I sneered, letting my words drip with disdain.

My presence pressed down on them harder, suffocating, crushing.

But then his aura detonated in retaliation.

Wind roared past my ears, snapping my shadow back for a split second. He had the sa power as May, but way stronger—like the difference between a light drizzle and a full-blown storm.

He lifted his hand slowly, and a fan materialized between his finger. It opened with a soft rustle, and as it did, the air around him seed to shift, like the very space was bending to his will.

"It’s impressive you managed to kill the boss," he mused. "But I could do the sa if I wanted to."

The wind thickened around him, whipping his coat and rattling the chamber hard enough to shake dust from the ceiling.

"If you want to walk out of here alive." He let the words hang for a beat. "Hand over everything you took from the boss."

So that was the ga, huh. A Rank‑S bully who thought he could stroll in, puff his chest out, and rob like I was so clueless newbie?

I raised my hand, and my spear snapped into existence, vibrating and hungry for blood.

"Good," I murmured, my voice turning colder by the second. "You just made this personal. Now I get to enjoy killing you slowly."
