Buzz!

[-10 EP]

The ground beneath the feet of the elves cracked in perfect squares. My aim was fixated behind the enemy lines, where the archers and hundreds of unprepared soldiers stood.

Crack!

From the cracks, sizable orange magic arrays spiraled into existence, marking the spots targeted for impact!

The trembling ground made soldiers panic. Many ran in different directions trying to escape, but it was futile—the range of each magic circle spanned nearly a hundred ters.

"Only death awaits you!" I snarled.

BOOOM!

A circle of fla spun in mid-air as fierce flas erupted from each array, consolidating into nurous raging pillars of fire!

Cries of pain.

The sll of burning flesh.

The few that made it out of the pillar of fla were engulfed in fire, running helter-skelter while pleading for water to be poured on them. Their cries were music to my ears—it was almost as exciting as the sound of the system notifications that ca with each dead elf.

That ssage spamd at the corner of my eyes, even into the hundreds. One spell had eradicated hundreds of elf soldiers—this was sothing no normal talent could achieve.

But I finally understood why Luthor was struggling. From gathering information from many people, I realized how low the mana points of people from this world were.

This spell wasn’t even as powerful as the chain lightning spell, but it cost 10 energy points.

The highest I had seen so far was Serena, who had 25 MP, while the Queen had 20, and Caelum had 15. People like Luthor didn’t even have up to 10 MP, forcing them to rely on their students to supplent while also using their life force to compensate for what they lack.

I guess this was the heavens’ way of suppressing humans—because I was certain if all humans had enough mana, they would easily obliterate anyone and everyone in their path.

Now the enemy troops were thrown into chaos, and I didn’t plan on letting them regroup.

"Stop screaming... Stop running..." I laughed hysterically. "We are just getting started!"

"From embers to heavens, I call the sky to burn.

Drel’sa koren val’munth, strike the earth with your scorn."

As I began chanting, the air grew thick with heat, and faint sparks danced upward from the ground across the battlefield.

The sky slowly darkened—even in daylight—as a glowing fiery sigil ford high above the battlefield, spinning like a burning halo.

Each word of the incantation caused tiny molten cracks to spiderweb across the air above.

"By fla, by wrath, by roaring storm—

Vel’rahk! Vel’rahk! Let cinders be reborn!"

When the final phrase, "Vel’rahk! Vel’rahk!" was spoken, the sigil ignited fully. Dozens of miniature flaming teors, the size of a man’s fist, began raining down in a wide radius.

BOOOM! BOOOM!

BOOOM! BOOOM!

This ti, not even the frontlines were spared from the chaos.

Groups were blasted away like a bowling ball hitting pins. Beast riders lost control of their mounts, and so elves abandoned the army, running behind the burning tents and deeper into the valley.

Terror. Fear. Cries and pain.

They were all music to my ears. The feeling was so intoxicating it rivaled the excitent I gained from hearing the people cheer "Great One."

With access to magic, I was one step closer to gaining the kind of power needed to challenge Earth.

Where Lee Bai failed, I will succeed.

"Vireth’ka Lor’shael ven’thala! Dorun’kai! Drae’shal!"

Buzz!

My eyes narrowed as a voice bood from one of the burning tents, and even though I didn’t know its aning, I felt worried.

[Translation:] The spear of Lothlórien has arrived. Stand and Fight!

"Who dares!" I snarled, but I soon got my answer!

Bang!

One of the tents was exposed as a massive eagle, carrying an elf dressed in erald armor, shot into the air. His long golden hair fluttered wildly in the wind as he gripped a green spear wrapped in vines that twisted across the shaft, binding the man’s hand to the weapon.

The rider himself was like a statue carved with perfection in mind. His perfect pointy ears made hate my normal ears. His perfect jawline attacked my masculinity, and worst of all, his crown of vine resting on his head made want to get a crown of my own.

He was like a hero you would read about in books.

But doesn’t that make the bad guy?

"Who the fuck is this bastard?" I sneered disdainfully as the heroic figure flew toward fearlessly.

[Warning!]

My brows knitted. The last ti the system dished out this kind of warning was when Lee Bai was about to conquer Louisiana.

It wouldn’t send this ssage unless I was in real danger.

[This is the 7th Prince of the Emperor of Lothlórien, known as the Spear of Lothlórien! As long as he stands, his army will not fall. Flee!]

The system warned, and my frown twisted into rage.

Looking past the approaching figure, I could see the elves—and even animals that once fled—regrouping and preparing for battle.

The reverence and excitent in their eyes were likened to what the people of Solinthar had for . The only difference was this man earned it with his blood and sweat, while mine was a prophecy that fed on the desperation of people.

"I’ll wipe that smile off their faces!" I snapped and quickly brandished Rai’ki.

Swoosh!

Without hesitation, I swooped forward, charging toward the airborne enemy with malicious intent.

"FALL!" he roared.

"DIE!" I growled.

Peng!

We blitzed past each other as the world rattled under our clash.

My eyes narrowed as I looked toward my trembling hands. They felt numb even though my Strength stat was 15 points.

Are you trying to tell this dude had 15 points in Strength as well?

Even if he did, my weapon should have shattered his. Aether is inferior to nothing, so how the hell did this clash end in a draw?

"Evil demon, who do you serve?!"

A loud, demanding voice ca from behind, causing my ears to perk up.

Evil... demon... ?

I could overlook that, but the words "Who do you serve?" still rang like a bell in my head.

This was an insult to a man who planned to take the place of God!

Turning to et his gaze, the system notification ca at the ti I needed it most:
