The morning sun bore down its light on to the world. Wind softly blew. Rustling of leaves created a lancholy feeling.
Alex sat on his garden pavilion while enjoying the tea. Or at least tries to. But whatever he tried to eat felt like they didn’t quite touch his tounge. Leaving a quite dissatisfaction inside his heart.
’When did it even first start...?’
Alex searched his mories. Of the first ti he passed through the wall. When he fell, and arrived in this world. He still rembered the the sensation of his heart hamring against his chest. The confusion, the sheer absurdity of everything. But...
’Now that I think about it, when was the last ti I even remotely felt sothing?’
Alex gently touched his heart. It was beating in a steady pace. As if unaffected by the world. He gently placed the tea cup down and slouched back.
’When did it start?’
Alex juggled all his recent mories and analysed them.
’It started after the fight with Abyssal Giant...’
After a while, he ca to a solid conclusion. And the more he thought about it, the more he realised how much change there was in him. He barely reacted to anything now.
Alex recalled the connections he had made. And every single one of them were beauties unlike any other. He was honestly surprised by himself. How he hadn’t touched anyone of them yet. He was a scum among scum. And this level of restrain isn’t sothing he knew.
Alex tried to figure out why. And he ca to a conclusion pretty quickly. Everything felt very... irrelevant. Like everything was beneath him. Nothing could excite him. Even when he was torturing the triplets, he didn’t feel much even though it was one of his favourite hobbies.
He, at that mont, didn’t feel exhilaration, but triumphed instead. The soone feels when they crush soone beneath them.
All this ti, Alex never allowed himself to think deeper. But today, seeing his classmates state, sothing within him shifted. He couldn’t tell what...
No.
He could.
’I want to feel...’
An intense desire to feel fully again slowly took root in him. He wanted to do sothing, but couldn’t understand what. A very uncomfortable feeling spread through his chest.
Alex placed his heart over his chest. Feeling his heart beating a bit faster.
’Welp. I guess what I had initially thought was wrong. I can feel. But need extre stimuli... huh.’
But as if a bucket of cold water had been poured in his bazing heart, the beating slowly died down and his heart started to beat in a normal rhythm again.
Alex sighed. He wasn’t in the mood for tea anymore. He got up and started walking towards his mansion. Behind him, the tea set got absorbed into the table.
Alex didn’t bother going through the gate then climbing back up into the second floor. So he jumped up to the balcony and marched towards his bed. The clothing on his body started to remove themselves and got absorbed in the badge that stuck with his chest.
Alex took it off, put it in the bed side and slipped under the blanket.
He closed his eyes, intending to sleep. When he opened his eyes again, it was already night.
’... The sa old consciousness switch on and off...’
"Tsk."
Alex clicked his tounge, feeling irritated for so reason. The more he thought about his situation the weirder he felt. The sensation of not belonging here slowly creeping in. He felt very restless.
Itchy in a way he couldn’t describe.
’Sothing is happening to . But I don’t know what...’
He was sure that the feeling he was getting were signs of sothing. He rustled his hair in frustration and got out of the bed. He didn’t bother putting on any clothes.
Alex walked down. Fully naked. There wasn’t any servant here. He needed to hire them if he needed on. The Academy provides a 7 day service, but after that, he is on his own. And since he didn’t practically need eating, he didn’t here any.
Alex opened the fridge, and found so bananas. He rembered that they were good for mood improvent. But when he peeled of the skin and took a bite, his irritation increased instead.
The sa feeling of tasting food with a layer over his tounge greeted him. He gulped down the banana with an irritated expression. He threw the skin into the trash can and walked back to his room. He sat down on his balcony. Looking at the moonlight reflecting from the lake.
The mountain rang softly illuminated by the silvery glow. Nocturnal birds awaking up and screaming to let the world know their presence.
A breath takingly beautiful view was infront of Alex. But none of it touched his heart. He looked at the scene with a frown. The discomfort in his chest increasing with each minute.
Although he hated to admit it, but he was feeling so frustrated that it made him want to cry out loud and scream at the heavens. But he held himself back.
’Am I being rejected by the world or sothing?’
Sudden thought passed by. At first, he didn’t think much of it but the more hw thought about it, the more sense it made. Or else, why would he feel this way?
As if like the world was slowly wrapping around himself before it will throw him out.
"Is it that wrong just for to exist in this world? Why can’t I be a part of it? Live a normal life?"
Alex felt overwheld in so many different ways that he couldn’t even understand that was happening.
He cupped his face with both hand while inclined on the table.
Suddenly, Alex felt his heart beat faster. His breathing becoming quicker. Extre discomfort spreading through his body. His mind wobbled, vision blurred and head spun like he was about ot collapse. Sweat pouring out of his body.
Alex felt he was about to lose consciousness but everything stopped abruptly. As if they never happened to Alex.
Alex straightened himself on the chair. His whole body was covered in sweat. He was breathing heavy, throat dry and heart hamring like a drum.
He felt extrely thirsty...
’!!!’
Alex quickly realised that. And he was very surprised. His expression was that of disbelief. He looked around. And the world felt much closer, sharper, and more intimate. As he was finally living inside the world.

Alex couldn’t understand what that voice ant. Before he could, his vision changed. As if he was moving forward in light speed, he saw everything around up turn into speed lines before he arrived in an endless expanse of white. There was nothing other than white in this space.
