"I thought you were a biology tutor?" Fuko turned back to Mr Greene.
"I am," he nodded. "I’m the dorm tutor and one of the biology teachers—mainly for the Class of Aces."
"But, you’d co to my house to teach , I thought you were just a tutor."
"No, that’s not what I work as. You had a different titable, but I taught you all the sa things and gave you the sa howork. It was your dad’s request to the academy, most of your ’tutors’ are teachers here," he explained to the confused brunette.
"You’re kidding... Is that what he’s up to with Kineko right now?" her glare deepened, but not to anyone in sight.
"Is your dad around?"
"Sowhere, yeah. Did he pay you extra or sothing?"
"Ms Namora, your dad’s already paid for your full education at the academy, it’s just a teacher’s job to teach the student. Yes, I was paid a little more, but I would’ve just as easily done so freely. Your dad’s done great work for the country after the fire."
"What exactly was his deal with the academy, what all happened?" Fuko took steps closer.
Mr Greene tilted his head, "Ms Namora, you’re very confused about all of this... Maybe you should talk to your father about it."
"I already have, I’m trying to get more. Did he ever say why he had to keep at ho for so many years? You’re my teacher, right? Please, teach ," she continued.
Mr Greene frowned lightly, but he did think for a second. "I think it ca down to, he wanted to keep you safe."
"So the reason just goes back to he was paranoid..." Fuko groaned to herself. Stella stood idly by, her eye softening as she watched the frustrated brunette...
"Hm, I have things to get to at the labs. Ms Wells, do take care of Ms Namora well," he bade and walked past.
"Naturally," Stella gave a smile till he walked out of earshot and it was just one or two students passing by. "Hey... are you-"
"I’m fine," she stood upright. "Finding the truth is one thing, but accepting it, ugh..."
The blonde’s eye shifted, "Sotis the truth isn’t what we like."
"You don’t need to tell that, Ms Wells," Fuko turned to face her.
Stella pursed her lips, "Guess I can’t really hide from a detective..."
"Not that you were doing that well."
"You’re very rude, you know that?"
"I’ve been told," Fuko crossed her arms. She inhaled and puffed out a breath, "But I’ve not exactly in the best of moods either."
Stella gave an awkward chuckle, "That I can tell."
"Yeah, yeah. So is there a first na to that Wells?"
"Tiffany..." she begrudgingly answered.
"Tiffany Wells. Can I just call you that?"
She murmured, "If you want." She looked up to say, "But if we’re near other students, I’d prefer if you call Stella."
Fuko’s crossed arms fell, "Sure. Where to next anyway?"
"How about the dorms?" she muttered.
"Let’s go then," Fuko walked. "And your na sounds... nice. Better than Stella Vesper-whatever."
"Rude..."
"Hey, you gonna show around or what?" Fuko offered her hand whilst looking elsewhere.
Tiffany took a long hard glance at the brunette. Her outstretched hand kept up whilst she tried her best to keep her face away and uninterested... With a small smile, Tiffany took her hand and went forward.
_
"Our living quarters are quite expansive. One that encompasses everything that a student requires of an abode," Tiffany showed her around and to see students was much more common.
One or two would give an odd glance to the blonde girl with the eyepatch as she would announce and stretch her arm out wide to show another girl around.
A few telephones sat around the red-hued lounge they passed. The carpeted floors muffled the footsteps across the entire expanse. "This passage leads to the dorms of the Class of Aces," she pointed down a corridor with doors on either side.
"So everyone gets a dorm room?" Fuko squinted.
"Nay. Just those who ask and require of it. Thou may return to thy ho at any given ti after the period of enlightennt is concluded."
"So you live far away and have to stay here?"
"Hm... Nay, the void favours this to be mine abode and I humbly agree," she looked out the window—they were on the second floor and she could see the school gates from here.
"Hey Stella," Fuko got her attention back. "Is that everything to this place?"
"I suppose."
"Huh... three people per bathroom. Even the Krian Adventurers Guild didn’t have that," she reminisced.
"Thou must tell thy tales of adventuring, I wish to know your greatest feats so that the void can discern your illustrious na~!"
The brunette smirked, "You’re right, I’ve done so really just amazing things," she flaunted her hair and hid the light redness across her cheek. "Maybe so other ti, but I promise I’ll tell you all about it."
"Be it so, I bind thou to thy word," she smiled.
"So what exactly did the other people in our class think of ?"
"Hmm, not many thoughts were spared. We had no face nor voice," slowly, she dropped her act. "But there was this rumour of you being in the class and never seen—that you were an actual ghost haunting the school.
A group in our class got in trouble for trying to contact your spirit in one of the towers. I can take you to that tower to fulfil the divination if you want," she laughed.
"Great..." the brunette shook her head, "I’m an urban legend." Fuko looked down the hall, "What about your room?"
"My room?" Tiffany muttered to herself. "Uh, sure if you want- Ahem, of course you may peruse my bedchambers," she strode down the hall. "I believe thy eyes to be prepared for such details." Fuko rolled her eyes and followed along.
Tiffany stopped a few doors ahead and squinted her one eye to the door around the corner. On the ceiling beam outside it, hung a few garnts and clothes...
"Uh, shield thy eyes for a mont," Tiffany paced towards the door and looked up. However, Fuko cocked her head and just walked behind.
Among the couple of skirts and uniforms, were various undergarnts in hues of- "I said don’t look!" Tiffany went bright red as Fuko was staring up.
The brunette took a second, "Oh..." she imdiately looked to the floor and blushed. "Why the hell are they up there? Did soone break into your room?"
"N-no! It’s my laundry, they sotis do this," Tiffany shrunk and looked around for any ladder nearby. Instead, her gaze fell on the group of girls by the corner, eavesdropping and peeking in on the scene.
"Shit, Scream-Freak’s seen us," one of the girls uttered.
"It’s not fucking funny!" Tiffany shouted in anguish.
Fuko glanced in the direction with furrowed brows.
"Oh no, go, go, go!" one of the girls pushed as most of them smiled and laughed in an attempt to escape.
"Hey new girl," one of them called out to Fuko whilst Tiffany seethed next to her. "You better get away from her, she’s batshit crazy."
Fuko shifted her eyes slightly to Tiffany, who kept her mouth completely shut, but was breathing much heavier and had clenched her fists.
Her brown eyes shifted back and she opened up her unbuttoned blazer a little. Fuko pulled out her gleaming purple dagger and twirled it into her grasp with a glare to the gaggle of girls, "What was that again?"
As the pointed dagger glead, the group of girls ran away in haste and widened eyes. Tiffany blinked a few tis, "You... brought a weapon to school...?"
"I’ve been keeping it with ever since I got it really," she hid the dagger back in her inner blazer pocket.
"You could get- Well, I guess you’re graduated..." Tiffany removed the shock off her face and looked to the brunette... "Uhm, I, thank you. I’ve never-" Tiffany shook her head, "Thank you."
"Yeah, don’t ntion it," Fuko glanced up, lightly blushing, "I guess I didn’t have to deal with bullies."
"The worse part is that they’re juniors," Tiffany scoffed. "I’ll look for a ladder, please stop staring up..."
"I! I’m not looking specifically at those," Fuko huffed. She reached her hand up and purplish-black shadows ford in her palms as she warped the undergarnts into her grasp. "Take them," she nearly punched Tiffany in the gut.
"You have an affinity too?" Tiffany took it into her grasp.
Fuko warped into her hands, all the garnts she could use the spell upon and quickly tossed it to Tiffany, "Yeah. Shadow, mobility."
"Uh, cool. Mine’s echo, offensive."
Fuko glanced to the larger and thicker garnts—three skirts, two shirts and a blazer. "Give a second," Fuko blinked upwards and landed on the beam on all fours; she was small enough not to bang her head into the ceiling.
She tossed the garnts down as Tiffany danced around, trying to catch them in the pile within her arms. Fuko blinked back down onto the floor and looked to her.
Tiffany laughed, "My saviour," she bowed her head and curtsied, "Thank you, really."
"You’re welco," she flaunted her hair. "You haven’t gone to the teachers about it?"
"I did... a long ti ago," her eye shifted away. "It’s a, long story..."
Fuko looked to Tiffany with softer eyes, "Well, wish I could’ve been here then... To you know, help you at least."
She smiled in response, "The gesture is appreciated. However, believe in I; thou probably would not have aided if thou were present."
"You don’t know that," Fuko shrugged.
"Perhaps. I give my sincerest apologies. May I invite you to my bedchambers so other ti?"
"Yeah, yeah, don’t worry, I get it."
"We shalt et again upon graduation day, will we not?"
"Probably. Why don’t you save a seat?" Fuko took a step back.
Tiffany gave a nod, "Save you a seat I shall."
"Great then."
"Indeed."
"Yeah."
"F-farewell."
"Bye," Fuko turned away and walked off with her gaze to the floors, while Tiffany humd back into her room with her eye wide open.
