Chapter 705: Chapter 705: The Universe’s Ledger

"What do you want?" Ibadon asked in an irritated tone.

Floating before him were the two felines that were currently on his side.

"What are you doing, Ibadon? The dragons can’t operate without their Primordial," Seth said in a very low, almost warning voice.

"Did you call

here to discuss this? You could have just co to

if you wanted to discuss stupid things," Ibadon said and angled his body slightly, as if preparing to fly away.

His black cape fluttered slowly as the small spheroid they were having this eting on had little gravitational force.

Seth maintained his calm expression.

"Chen and I will be withdrawing from the alliance," Seth suddenly said.

The humanoid beside him who was none other than Chen, nodded his head casually.

He was glad that Seth was the one to say this, if he had been the one to make the announcent on behalf of the whole tiger race, Ibadon might have killed him.

As expected, this revelation got Ibadon’s attention, just as Seth wanted.

"You’re leaving? But we just got started," Ibadon said.

The tigers were important if he wanted to surround the lions from all corners and crush them completely.

And the backing he would receive with the help of Seth was not small.

Although they were not that important, they were important enough to influence the direction of the war.

If they left now, he would have to change many of his plans and the dragons and horses would be the ones taking most of the burdens on themselves.

The most important thing was that Ibadon would have to change many of his plans. He had already abandoned the Primordial Dragon who was a valuable power boost to the wolf dragon race.

It had to be noted that the Destruction Dragons were not just fighting against the lions, they were still in an active ear against their Creator Cousins.

If the tigers and Seth left, Ibadon could see that he would have to make more cruel sacrifices to get what he wanted.

"Our goals no longer align, Ibadon, I apologise," Seth said and bowed slightly, his first official show of respect.

He respected Ibadon, yes. Not many could hold down on their desire for ten million years straight.

The only other entities Seth had seen who had the resolve to accomplish a single goal were those monsters in the Original Heaven. His father, the head of House Luthor, was one of them.

That troubleso bully of a demonic lion was also one of them.

In fact, almost every mber of the Council of Ancient Felines was just like Ibadon.

Incredibly determined to accomplish what they want, hardly taking no for an answer.

"What’s your price?" Ibadon asked, his face darkening.

His red eyes scanned Seth and Chen for any signs of incontinency but found nothing.

Seth knew that Chen couldn’t be trusted to maintain a calm disposition if he knew of the real underlying plan so he kept it to himself.

Only he and those who were responsible for carrying out the actual operation knew what was going on.

"I’m afraid there is no price to pay, Ibadon. Even if there was, I doubt you would be able to afford it.

I speak with utmost respect, you must know that."

Ibadon’s eyes narrowed and Seth continued.

"It’s just that we have both strayed from the agreent we made.

Every day, you seem more hellbent on destroying the lions which is not what I am here for.

I am an envoy of change.

I cannot adhere to your way of doing things.

And if I were to say that I want to still join you and follow your plan to the end, at what cost?

We have lived so long that we understand that the universe is always transactional, directly or indirectly.

For sothing to be taken, sothing must be given.

As ti passes, we see that the universe is showing you its ledger.

You want revenge for an act that happened a million years ago. The Highest Will won’t block you, it never blocks anyone.

But it will make sure you understand the price to pay and the consequences to face.

Look at what has happened.

As soon as you began the First Annihilation, Empress Elizabeth got kidnapped.

As soon as you recovered your powers, more powerful entities started appearing in other parts of the universe, even the lions got an immortal.

Coincidence or not, who cares?

For every action, there is a very equal reaction.

The dragon empire of destruction is descending more and more into a state of chaos with every second you spend focused on your desire for extermination.

Ibadon, I am very sure that the dragon civilization on its own may not be enough to exterminate the lions.

It is safe for

to ascertain that the tigers will also be pulled into this coming chaos and I am sure that it still wouldn’t be enough.

As a fellow feline, I must pull them out lest they fall into a storm they had no reason for being in.

The Primordial Lion? Maybe you can kill him, that’s fair ga.

But the whole lion race? This isn’t the first ti anyone has tried.

The dragon empire would never be enough, that is a fact.

But just because it isn’t enough doesn’t an you may not make progress.

You will consu everything in your path for that is your nature, that is the purpose the universe gave you.

Oblivion.

The eraser.

The universe will continue giving you elents, a good reason to continue erasing things.

For now, it is revenge, but after that, what next? Who else will you turn your gaze to?

Can’t you see Ibadon, you are the instrunt of a power you cannot comprehend. Or rather, you know it, you just don’t care.

Anyways, I have said my piece, I wish you luck, but even that is scarce these days."

Ibadon’s dull red eyes watched as Seth and Chen flew away. The harsh honesty of the Primordial Cat didn’t surprise Ibadon, instead, it made him suspicious.

Ibadon did a ntal calculation, he had been away from the Imperial Palace for a few minutes. He decided to get back to avoid any unwanted occurrences.

Still, he doubted if anyone would have been able to do anything with the short ti that he was away.
