Chapter 515: Chapter 515: Crown Symbol

Three days later.

Inside the massive black pyramid, on the luxurious level, Kael’s family resided.

This level had four suites and Kael usually had one suite to himself...most tis.

Another suite was dedicated to his consorts, and another was dedicated to his children alone.

Even though Kael had one suite to himself, he hardly stayed alone as his consorts or children would co to keep him company. Usually, Kael would be too busy with the lion system to even pay any attention to them, and he didn’t mind that they were around to keep him company.

Currently, Kael was not on this level. In fact, he was not on the Black Pyramid.

Him, Katari, and Ozia had travelled out so ti ago and didn’t tell anyone where they were going.

This left the consorts confused but they didn’t think too much about it. They had their own things to attend to if they wanted to be of use to Kael.

Currently, inside the suite for the consorts...

Out of the many rooms here, one had been hurriedly made holy for the latest mber.

Alora stood in front of a mirror inside her room. She stared solemnly at her expression and blinked her eyes.

She wasn’t the type of person to spend her ti in front of a mirror and she occasionally never factored her beauty into any equation when performing any action.

Now, looking at her pale white skin, white hair, and blue eyes, Alora was again reminded that her beauty was top-notch.

However, Alora was not here to appreciate her appearance, she was looking at the symbol at the center of her forehead.

Her fingers gripped the hard marble top beneath the mirror. She leaned her weight into it as she drew her face closer to the mirror so that she could observe the symbol better.

A tall golden crown was tattooed on her forehead, it was the sa golden tattoo that appeared on the heads of other consorts when they signed the contract.

"Our power," Alora muttered under her breath.

*Knock!*

Alora heard the sound of knocking as well as the sound of footsteps that she was very familiar with.

She narrowed her eyes, concentrating more on her reflection in the mirror.

Suddenly, a layer of frost started to appear over the surface of the mirror. Alora frowned.

Her mind went back to the mont Kael was beating her up. Her mind settled on her hit Kael had landed on her body.

Kael had been ruthless and had no intention of showing rcy if she really didn’t side with him. She couldn’t bla Kael because Kael was right.

She would have been a serious threat to him if she had continued growing.

Her resentnt for Kael’s power would have likely caused her to side with soone like Ma’abu. Not because she supported Ma’abu’s vision, but because she needed soone capable of dealing with Kael.

Alora had already thought of this a long ti ago, she had laid out all her options in her mind and knew what to do in certain scenarios.

What she didn’t expect was for a strange relationship to occur between her and Kael where she started developing disturbing feelings for the latter.

That Kael would take the opportunity when she visited to start attacking her was unexpected. It spoke of just how decisive and opportunistic Kael could be.

She failed to understand that Isaiah had taught Kael a very valuable lesson, one that he would never forget for the rest of his life. If Kael got the opportunity to take down a future threat, it didn’t matter how he felt, he would take it down.

Hence, he stiffly offered Alora the position to be his consort.

’I could have rejected,’ Alora thought to herself.

But she didn’t.

*Knock knock!*

The knock ca again, louder and more intense.

"Alora, I know you’re inside," A feminine voice ca from outside.

Alora sighed, the layer of frost dissolved from the surface of the mirror and her fingers stopped gripping the marble top.

"Co in, Chloe," Alora said calmly, her blue eyes flashing with strange light.

The door to the room opened and Chloe walked in. Her two black wings were folded neatly behind her and her braids fell to the back of her head, ending in colorful beads.

She looked around the room, catching sight of Alora standing in front of the mirror hanging on the wall.

"Alora..." Chloe called softly with a smile.

"You’re pregnant? Again?" Alora suddenly asked as she turned around to look at Chloe with one of her eyebrows raised in a questioning manner.

Chloe sighed, "Is that how you’re going to greet a friend?"

Alora stared coldly at her friend. She didn’t say anything, allowing Chloe to digest the silence very well.

"Alora?" Chloe asked as she began to walk closer to Alora.

"Is anything the matter?" Alora asked.

"When I heard that you ca to the pyramid, I assud that you wanted to visit ..." Chloe said.

"No, I ca to visit Kael," Alora said truthfully. She hadn’t even been thinking of Chloe when she ca to visit Kael.

"I just didn’t expect him to attack

like that. Although..." Alora turned back to the mirror, the golden crown symbol was gone, "...It worked out for the best, I guess."

"Hmm," Chloe narrowed her eyes, she stood beside Alora and folded her arms, "So you admit to having co exclusively to see Kael?"

Alora nodded, "Is there a problem with that?"

Chloe shook her head, "No, it’s just that I never thought you would be the kind to compromise your goals for soone else," Chloe said as she shrugged her shoulders.

"I didn’t compromise my goals, Chloe. I just made so slight adjustnts." Alora said.

"In what way?"

"I’ll be pursuing the goal for both of us from now on, apparently," Alora said.

"Both of us?" Chloe tilted her head and asked.

" and Kael. You must have watched the interaction and exchange between us. His power is now my power, I have no choice but to help him." Alora said.

"I see," Chloe scoffed.

Alora turned to look at Chloe, "Chloe, are you jealous?"
