"Perhaps not," Lyon replied with a smile, walking straight toward the depths of the library shelves.
Although Wong was the librarian, he would later beco the Sorcerer Supre, possessing great strength and extensive experience.
In the films, after the Blip, Wong, as the new Sorcerer Supre, even put together a resu for himself. He ntioned that in his younger days, he had started as a supermarket manager at Kamar-Taj, working in that position for nine years.
Afterward, he replaced the previous librarian, who had recently died, and worked in the Kamar-Taj library for another 11 years.
Considering the tiline, this period should align roughly with the current events.
At the mont, the still relatively young Wong clearly lacked such a wealth of experience.
Faced with Lyon's utterly nonchalant attitude, Wong found himself at a loss for words to further warn him.
Wong stood there, mouth half-open, helplessly watching as Lyon began flipping through the forbidden texts.
"Let's hope he keeps his word and doesn't end up hanging ," Wong muttered under his breath, evidently not very optimistic about Lyon.
...
Half a month quickly passed.
At first, Wong couldn't stop himself from glancing over at Lyon every now and then, unable to set his mind at ease.
But eventually, he got used to it and began seeing Lyon's daily rapid page-turning as just another part of the library's routine.
In fact, because Lyon's reading speed was so astonishingly fast, Wong sotis even wondered if Lyon was absorbing anything at all.
anwhile, Mordo was having a far rougher ti.
Every day, Lyon would showcase one or two new spells in front of him.
After many days of this, Mordo was utterly crushed, left questioning whether there was sothing fundantally wrong with his own approach to learning magic.
It wasn't until the Ancient One took ti to counsel him that he finally understood the truth: there was nothing wrong with him—it was Lyon who had a Super brain.
...
Inside the inner sanctum of Kamar-Taj.
"You've finished reading all the books already?" The Ancient One seed a bit surprised.
The library of Kamar-Taj, while not entirely exhaustive, was still the result of countless years of accumulation—a vast repository of knowledge.
Yet it hadn't been long before Lyon ca to her, seeking guidance for the next step in his training.
"More or less," Lyon replied, sipping his tea. "Only a few insignificant books are left unread."
Over the past month, he had imrsed himself in reading day and night, reaping trendous rewards.
Not only had his knowledge of magic expanded dramatically, but even the black magic he'd been longing to master—assimilation and absorption—had been pieced together from scattered notes buried within the vast collection of forbidden tos.
Now, if a demon or a weak dinsional entity appeared before him, Lyon could drain its essence on the spot, integrating its power into himself.
Hehehe~
His visit to the Ancient One now carried a subtle hint of farewell. He hadn't expected his journey at Kamar-Taj to conclude within a single month.
After a mont of reflection, however, the Ancient One offered guidance.
"Your magical knowledge is sufficient," she said. "You can now begin studying the principles behind magic."
"The principles of magic?" Lyon frowned. He had never heard of Marvel magic requiring a study of principles.
The Ancient One spoke slowly and deliberately.
"We borrow power from other dinsions to cast spells or perform mystical arts, you know that..."
The engravings and properties of certain spells are tied to the dinsional entities that provide their power.
Without tapping into that entity's energy, even if sorcerers wield the borrowed strength of the Vishanti, they still cannot cast sothing like the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak.
Of course, ordinary sorcerers don't need to concern themselves with the principles behind magic. After all, borrowing power is borrowing power—so long as the spells work, that's all that matters.
But Lyon sought to grow continuously stronger, aiming to surpass these dinsional entities.
Thus, delving into the essence of magic and learning to cast it independently beca crucial.
"Where should I begin?" Lyon asked.
"Start by understanding the magic of the Vishanti. They have never minded being studied by those who co after them."
"Understood, Master Ancient One. Thank you!" Lyon expressed his gratitude for her guidance before departing with a spring in his step, returning to his quarters.
This ti, he directly crossed into the world of Resident Evil, utilizing the ti difference to focus on studying the principles of magic.
When he achieved so breakthroughs and needed to test them in practice, he returned to the Marvel Universe.
...
Three days passed.
Lyon was in his room experinting with the Winds of Watoomb when Wong ca knocking at his door.
"Why haven't you been to the library lately? Don't let yourself get consud by the knowledge in those forbidden books—it'll lead you into darkness!"
Wong had grown anxious, thinking Lyon might have beco obsessed with the forbidden texts.
Lyon chuckled, amused. "I haven't been going to the library because I've already read all the books. Lately, I've been researching the principles of magic."
"The principles of magic? You an how to cast spells?" Wong asked, confused.
"No, let show you!" Lyon said as he flicked his hands, summoning a crimson version of the Vishanti's Holy Sword.
At first, Wong didn't notice anything unusual. "The Holy Sword, so what's the big deal?"
"Look at its energy composition," Lyon prompted.
Frowning, Wong examined it closely. It took him a mont to realize.
"Wait—what?! Crimson Dinsion energy! You used Cyttorak's power to cast a spell of the Vishanti?"
Wong staggered back in shock. "How did you do that? Aren't you afraid of desecrating the Vishanti and facing their wrath?"
"Relax."
Wong: "Wine and at pass through the stomach..."
"...but the Buddha remains in your heart."
"Shut it!"
"The Vishanti won't bother with a little mage like ," Lyon shrugged.
"You're insane. Absolutely insane. Stop this imdiately! If you keep researching like this, sothing bad is bound to happen!" Wong was visibly anxious.
"Actually, this was approved by the Ancient One."
"You're sure?" Wong froze in surprise.
"Of course."
Wong had no response to that.
Recalling the crimson Holy Sword, he couldn't help but think it looked even cooler than the original. Curiosity got the better of him.
"So...can you teach how you did that?"
Lyon couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, so if you can't stop , you're joining instead, huh?"
"You want to learn?"
Lyon patted Wong on the back and gently pushed him out of the room. "Co back after you've read through all the books in Kamar-Taj's library!"
...
The practice of magic inevitably caused so commotion.
And since Lyon didn't always create a mirror dinsion to shield his experints, so mages began noticing his research into the principles of magic.
The unique and entirely different style of his magic aroused their curiosity.
Thus, rumors of a super prodigy newly arrived at Kamar-Taj began spreading among the mages.
As for Lyon himself, he remained reclusive.
Five more days passed.
Including the ti spent in the Resident Evil world, Lyon had already devoted nearly a year to studying the principles of magic.
Finally, he decided to pause.
But it wasn't because he had fully grasped the essence of every spell.
Rather, his recent progress had slowed significantly.
Initially, understanding the essence of basic spells was straightforward.
But as he delved further, abilities like the Mastery of Hogoth or the Mirror Dinsion had already entered the realm of universal laws or cosmic principles.
For these advanced magics, Lyon couldn't help but feel exasperated.
Take the Mirror Dinsion as an example.
If he could truly comprehend the principles behind that spell, he would practically be on the verge of manipulating spatial laws barehanded to destroy stars.
Moreover, because he couldn't use energy borrowed from other dinsions for his research, Lyon's progress was painstakingly slow.
It was like trying to clean a wall covered in graffiti, but with no clean water at hand—only red, yellow, and blue dyes.
Under such conditions, Lyon roughly estimated that understanding the principles of the Mirror Dinsion would take at least five years.
Fortunately, spells as complex as the Mirror Dinsion were in the minority.
In just one year's ti, he had already deciphered the principles behind most spells.
The next step was to incorporate a source of energy into his body.
For example, by devouring a weaker dinsional demon, he could wield various spells without paying any price.
However, at this point, Lyon found himself reluctant to fuse foreign entities into his body.
Such thods, which could influence one's soul, were ultimately a last resort.
Even soone as powerful as the Ancient One had avoided using such ans to grow stronger.
Thus, Lyon, feeling restless, decided to explore a new universe.
Perhaps he could find a suitable source of energy there?
"Ok!! It's ti to cross into a new world!"
After sending ssages to Tony and the others, he glanced in the direction of the Ancient One.
Through several layers of walls, the two nodded at each other in mutual acknowledgnt.
In the next mont, Lyon once again activated the interface of his traversal ability.
[Keywords: Internal energy source, enhancing Kryptonian genetic potential, unlimited extraordinary power, no early-stage danger.]
[Successfully locked onto a world!]
[Energy required for traversal: 99.999% stamina value.]
[Traversal confird!]
In an instant, Lyon's stamina was drained to zero, and he vanished from the Marvel Universe.
"Fuck! I was too quick! Using this much stamina—what kind of world am I jumping into?!"
Under the cool glow of the moonlight, the only thing left in the cold room was the echo of Lyon's regretful outburst.
