A week passed and the village repairs was approaching its end.

The barricades had been fully replaced now while the buildings had been fully restored with everything in the village returning back to normal.

The cracks of so buildings were still visible if you knew where to look but overall, Thornsville was healing really rapidly.

Right now, Mira and Ray were currently training.

Every morning in the yard, behind the house, they would do this.

It usually happened very early in the morning before the villagers fully wake up.

Their training sessions had improved trendously now.

It was a lot harder and a lot more intense.

Ray had stopped holding back the way he’d been doing before and he began to use combinations of skills Mira hadn’t seen as well.

For example, he could activate mid-flight and would disappear from her sight entirely before reappearing behind her with

Noticing this, Mira learned to track him through sound and instinct when her eyes couldn’t find him.

He tried activating , Titanic Strength and Power Strike at the sa ti as well, to create a devastating offensive combination that turned Ray into sothing barely human for over a minute.

Mira tried to survive his attack, then she used a couple of her own abilities to weather the assault.

Ray’s skill followed imdiately with his skill.

These were two control techniques that imdiately turned to lock her down completely if she hadn’t been careful.

Luckily for her, Mira learned to break out faster and to evade Ray’s deadly Paralysis attack from making contact.

anwhile, Ray instantly activated and Mira felt it right after.

She felt the pressure in the air and the huge weight settling over the yard that made her instinct to scream danger.

But Ray’s body was wreathed in the dark energy and his eyes glowed faintly as his presence suddenly seed enormous.

Still, Mira held her ground despite her every instinct telling her to flee.

Ray noticed this and had been impressed.

And so, their sparring session beca genuine challenges.

Mira was level 7 now because their daily intense and hellish training had pushed her forward rapidly.

They fought until they felt exhausted and they continued until their sweat soaked through their clothes and their lungs and muscles scread in agony.

Once they couldn’t move anymore, both sat on the dirt and tried catching their breath before going again.

At this rate, no one watching from a distance would call this a training anymore.

It had definitely turned into a mini brawl, that was preparing them for sothing akin to war.

Later that day, Ray gathered information through Thornsville.

Traveling rchants still passed through the village, but more regularly now.

During his free periods like this, Ray would approach the rchants and talked to them casually.

He would ask about raids, about the nearby towns, the nearby forest and terrains as though he was curious about the world beyond his village.

Blackwood Forest would co up naturally and each rchant would happily tell him what he’d asked from them.

"Blackwood Forest?" A rchant asked mid-laughter. "Trust , kid. That forest is a dangerous place. It’s dense, easy to get lost in and I heard monsters are everywhere there, ranging from wolves, bears and things even worse. I heard the Church have been sending people over there recently though."

"The Church?" Ray asked in a curious tone.

"Yeah, I’ve heard so inquisitors had been going into the forest recently. I heard they’re looking for soone and she’s got bounties posted in half the town between here and the capital. Trust kid, this shit is so serious, I wonder what the poor girl did to make the church so eager to find her." The rchant said sadly as he leaned in conspiratorially.

"I heard the Church said she’s dangerous and the inquisitors had been ordered to kill on sight. Reward is around a hundred gold coins for proof of death."

"Yikes."

"Yeah, tell about it."

"So, has anyone claid it yet?"

"Not that I’ve heard. Though I recently heard so reports of a few inquisitors going in to that sa forest three days ago but none had co out ever since." The rchant shrugged knowingly. "The forest probably got them or sothing like that. After all, the forest gets everyone that steps into that territory eventually."

Ray smiled and thanked him for the information before moving on.

Later on, Ray talked to Marcus.

He had asked about contacts in big towns near Blackwood Forest.

Marcus provided so nas without asking Ray why he wanted them.

This had been how Ray had been living for the past week, gathering information about the nearest towns and villages and now he had obtained the map of where the inquisitors had been seen entering and where they hadn’t.

As for the Wyvern parts, Marcus and Perry introduced Ray to a really rich rchant from the big city.

The bloke dealt in monster materials specifically, so he had arrived today to examine the scales, fangs and blood vials of the wyvern.

"Wow, it really is a wyvern’s blood." The rchant uttered in surprise. "Where’d you get these?" The rchant didn’t expect to see products of high qualities in this small village over here.

"I killed one during the monster tide that happened a few days ago." Ray replied casually.

The rchant looked at him, then he looked at the materials before returning his gaze back to Ray.

"You really killed a wyvern?"

"Yes."

"But you look so young. If I’d known better, I’d say you should be around level two or three."

Ray simply smiled and didn’t say anything else.

The rchant was quiet for a mont, then he nad his price and the two n negotiated.

They settled on terms with Ray selling a combination of all these.

> Wyvern scales x40: 400 gold

> Wyvern fang x8: 400 gold

> Wyvern blood vial x5: 200 gold

Everything together was a total of 1000 gold coins.

This was really a high amount of gold coins but it still was barely just half of what he had obtained from Baron Harvard a few weeks ago
