"I need you to beco a god!"
Daniel didn’t hold back and directly expressed his thoughts.
On the other side, Isabella maintained a faint smile.
"I see."
"Little brother, what you’re saying is sothing I’ve always dread of!"
"However... compared to that, what I want more is you."
Isabella said, slowly rising from the bath.
Daniel’s hearing was sharp enough to catch the sounds of her erging from the water.
Though he didn’t look, his mind had already conjured the entire scene.
Soon after, Daniel could feel Isabella embrace him from behind.
A soft whisper echoed in his ear.
"Little brother, you must have a special reason for wanting to beco a god, right?"
"Let guess, if I’m not mistaken, you want to save another woman, right?"
Daniel could clearly sense the faint bitterness in Isabella’s voice.
In fact, he wasn’t at all surprised that Isabella could guess this.
"Yes, just as you guessed, I need to go rescue Kartora. You know, if it weren’t for , Kartora would never have been trapped in that era."
Daniel shared his plan in full, speaking openly to Isabella.
If he could rescue Kartora, then, as the God of Knowledge had ntioned, Kartora would beco a true god.
At that point, both Isabella and Kartora would ascend to godhood, and their side would gain two additional gods.
With two more gods, the combat strength would increase by a quarter!
At that point, the balance would be thoroughly broken.
While it wouldn’t imdiately lead to a counteroffensive against the inner gods, the scales of victory would shift in their favor.
With that, resisting the invasion of the inner gods and ancient gods shouldn’t be a difficult task.
Just then, Isabella suddenly spoke.
"Little brother, you should know that I exist because of the wish my sister made."
"Actually, the reason I exist is to beco a true god. This is a destiny I cannot escape."
"Go ahead, resurrect my sister. I’ll support you!"
"After all, you’re going to rescue the woman you love."
Although she said this, there was a faint trace of sorrow in Isabella’s tone.
Daniel sighed helplessly and then spoke calmly,
"Don’t misunderstand. My relationship with Kartora is purely that of friends, and I don’t wish to rely on your sacrifice to save her."
"To , both of you are important friends."
"Little brother, you’re so greedy," Isabella said, tightening her embrace.
"Alright, alright, no matter what, I’ll help you."
"But do you really trust ?"
This question made Daniel hesitate.
Although their relationship was good, the reason they were so close was that Daniel had complete control over Isabella.
But if he truly resurrected Elizabeth and rged the two of them into a true god, then Isabella would break free of his control.
At that point, would he be helping her in a way that would co back to haunt him?
Seeing Daniel fall silent, a hint of disappointnt flashed in Isabella’s eyes.
But that disappointnt quickly faded.
She knew that Daniel’s concerns weren’t without rit.
If she truly beca a god, she could, with just a flick of her finger, turn Daniel into her slave.
With Daniel’s cautious personality, he would never place his trust entirely in their relationship.
Isabella even wondered whether, once she beca a god, she would be able to resist making little brother her slave.
With this thought, Isabella looked deeply at Daniel, her gaze intense.
So, little brother, what are you going to do?
On the other side, Daniel was also deeply torn, but he wasn’t without options.
After a brief mont of thought, Daniel used [Infinity Possibility] to communicate with Mind Daniel.
"What’s up? Do you need my help?"
Daniel thought for a mont and then responded,
"Yes, I do need your help. I want to ask if you have any God Rank Skills related to Mind Pacts?"
A mont later, Mind Daniel responded.
"Of course I do. It’s called Infinite Mind Pact, but crafting this God Rank Skill requires quite a bit of material."
Daniel thought for a mont while checking his inventory.
He indeed had a lot of materials, but the ingredients needed to craft Infinite Mind Pact were surprisingly scarce.
Daniel had a faint sense that materials from different tilines might be different as well.
"I don’t have the materials to craft Infinite Mind Pact here. Do you have them?"
Mind Daniel responded quickly,
"If it’s just materials, I do have quite a few, and they’re of little use to ."
"But you should rember, our cooperation is based on..."
Daniel thought for a mont, then replied,
"An equal exchange. How about the materials for Phantom Slash?"
"Deal, trade accepted."
For Mind Daniel, what he lacked was an attack-type God Rank Skill.
Although his ntal attacks were extrely powerful, they were still ntal-based, not true offensive abilities.
So for him, an attack-oriented God Rank Skill would perfectly complent his abilities.
With the trade agreed upon, both parties received the materials they needed.
Daniel now held a God Rank Skill scroll.
Without hesitation, Daniel used the scroll, and a new God Rank Skill appeared on his personal panel.
[Infinite Mind Pact]
At the sa ti, Daniel spoke without turning around,
"Now, let’s form the pact."
Upon hearing Daniel’s words, Isabella froze for a mont.
"Little brother, are you serious?"
"You should know that for , no pact really ans anything."
Isabella tried to remind Daniel, but Daniel confidently shook his head.
"Don’t worry, I have a solution."
This Chapter revolves around Daniel’s internal conflict and strategic planning to acquire the Infinite Mind Pact skill in order to move forward with his goal of assisting Isabella in her ascension to godhood. His plan involves utilizing Mind Daniel’s resources in exchange for sothing that will further strengthen his abilities and the team’s collective power. As he works through these complex emotions and strategic choices, the Chapter highlights the tension and challenges of building alliances, making sacrifices, and managing relationships that could be both beneficial and dangerous.
