A flash of light passed before Alice’s eyes.
When she regained her senses, she had already returned to her wooden cabin.
Yet her mind was still preoccupied with the god’s final words.
"The Millennial Apocalypse."
What could it an?
What kind of cataclysm would be so grave that even a god took it seriously?
Suppressing her thoughts for now, Alice picked up her communicator and began searching for all available information about Daniel.
At the sa ti, she sent Daniel a friend request.
Monts later, the request was accepted.
Her heart imdiately tensed.
After so hesitation, she decided to send him a ssage.
"Hello, Lord Daniel. This is Alice.
I know we t just a short while ago."
Upon noticing that Daniel didn’t act haughty or distant, Alice let out a small sigh of relief.
She hesitated once more, then typed a line on her communicator.
"Lord Daniel, I’ve only recently beco a god’s devotee, so I’m not sure what kinds of offerings Lord Crossbridge prefers.
If it’s not too much trouble, could you offer so guidance?"
In truth, Alice was uncertain about what exactly counted as an appropriate sacrificial offering.
She didn’t know if her understanding of "precious materials" aligned with what a god would expect.
To be on the safe side, she chose to seek advice directly from Daniel.
And as far as she was concerned, there was no doubt he would know.
After all, he was the chosen successor of the god. Surely his level of authority was much higher than hers.
As long as she followed Daniel’s instructions, she figured she wouldn’t go wrong.
On the other side, seeing Alice’s cautious inquiry, Daniel couldn’t help but feel a bit amused.
After all this effort, Alice had finally taken the bait.
If not for his alternate identity as Daniel, how could the lofty Lord Crossbridge ever feel dignified asking his own devotee for offerings?
After all, he was playing the role of a god—
If he openly asked for things, it would severely damage that image.
But with Daniel as a middleman, he could make his requests freely and without concern.
With that thought, he quickly sent a reply.
"Lord Crossbridge prefers rare and precious materials unique to various races."
After sending that ssage, Daniel glanced at his God Rank Skill Compendium.
Now that he had reached level 100, he had unlocked up to the 79th god-rank skill in the list.
Considering the materials he was currently missing, Daniel picked a few and sent the list to Alice.
"If you can find thirty pieces of Strange Beast Fur and twenty units of Rainbow Grass, Lord Crossbridge will be very pleased."
By now, Daniel had acquired the god-rank skill [Judgnt of the God of Thieves], which ant that he no longer lacked ordinary materials.
Even relatively rare materials were no longer an issue for him.
All he needed was a single unit—he could replicate twenty of them from just one.
The materials he had just listed for Alice were all unique to the elven race.
If Daniel wanted to obtain them through the Multiracial Comrce League, it would take considerable ti and logistical effort.
But if Alice were to offer them as sacrifices, Daniel could acquire them swiftly and effortlessly.
Moreover, he had already gathered most of the components needed for his next god-rank skill.
He now intended to synthesize the 83rd-ranked skill: [Gift of the Veiled Goddess].
...
Elsewhere, within the Abyss Kingdom—
Daniel had finished negotiating the division of spoils with Sarko.
The treasure hoard of Karsas was indeed vast and opulent.
But Daniel and Sarko had different priorities and desires.
So when they split the loot, there wasn’t much conflict.
Even if they both laid claim to a particular treasure, they would resolve it amicably through a wager.
Whoever won the wager would get the item.
Their division of Karsas’s hoard didn’t take too long.
To Daniel, most items held little value—only materials were truly precious in his eyes.
As for the rest, he wasn’t remotely interested.
In the end, even though Sarko lost to Daniel multiple tis—without winning a single bet—he was still quite satisfied with what he had obtained.
Once everything had been divided, a greedy gleam appeared in Sarko’s eyes.
"My friend, our haul this ti has exceeded all expectations!
If you’re willing, I believe we should continue to—"
Before he could finish his sentence, an imposing voice thundered inside his mind.
"Sarko! Karsas was slain within your territory!
Tell honestly—was the human who killed him soone you brought in?"
It wasn’t just the myriad races who could view the system announcents.
The Emperor of the Abyss had seen them too.
And that was why he had co to question Sarko directly.
On Daniel’s side, he noticed that Sarko had stopped mid-sentence and now wore an awkward expression.
Though it quickly faded, it didn’t go unnoticed.
Daniel’s eyes narrowed. A seed of suspicion was planted in his heart.
anwhile, Sarko recovered his composure and quickly changed the subject.
At the sa ti, he reached out to Daniel via mind communication.
"My friend... would you be willing to et with our Emperor of the Abyss?"
Daniel blinked, then nodded without hesitation.
"Of course."
Sarko was surprised at how quickly Daniel agreed.
On the surface, he remained calm. But deep inside, a storm was raging.
Just how powerful was this human?
He had only just slain a King of the Abyss, and now he readily agreed to et the Emperor without a shred of fear.
Was he not worried about retaliation?
No—
It could only an one thing: Daniel was utterly confident in his own strength.
Sarko’s heart began to race.
The Emperor of the Abyss wasn’t just so ordinary ruler—he was the strongest entity in the entire Abyss.
And what if the human race had millions more like Daniel?
Monts ago, Sarko had already shared all the information he had about Daniel with the Emperor.
He had even warned him—repeatedly—to proceed with caution.
And yet, the Emperor still insisted on eting him.
Given the circumstances, Sarko had no authority to refuse. All he could do was ask Daniel for his opinion.
As for whether the Emperor would give Daniel a hard ti, Sarko wasn’t too worried.
With the Emperor’s temperant, he wouldn’t intentionally provoke such a powerful human.
"My friend, allow to take you to et our Emperor of the Abyss," Sarko said smoothly.
"He is extrely hospitable—and holds great admiration for your people."
Daniel gave a soft chuckle and nodded lightly.
Even without using [Eye of Insight], he could tell Sarko wasn’t telling the full truth.
