"WHAT?!"

Velen's eyes widened in shock as he turned to look at Anastasia after hearing Sherlock's words.

All of my auction items… were bought by Anastasia?!

A wave of darkness clouded Velen's vision.

"My ntor! My dear ntor!"

"I designed five separate auction rules for those five items—each one uniquely devious—and you bought them all?"

"Were you here to support your ntee… or to sabotage the entire auction?!"

He stared at Anastasia in disbelief.

With you buying them all, what's left for to sell? What about my luxury points?!

"If I told you this was all just an accident… would you believe ?"

Anastasia asked in exasperation.

Velen's mouth twitched.

Do you really want to guess whether I believe you or not?

"ntor! Once is an accident—five tis is fate!"

Velen looked at her long-suffering expression and was genuinely spooked.

He had never imagined, not even in his wildest dreams, that a single person could win every single item in the most chaotic auction ever devised. Not even brushing against the hem of the Goddess of Luck's dress could produce odds like that!

Fate?

A destiny of misfortune?

For the first ti, Velen felt what it truly ant to witness the hand of fate.

Maybe he should get soone to do a tarot reading for Anastasia.

Maybe she really was cursed to be the universal "Sucker of Suckers."

Damn!

Anastasia's ntal state finally collapsed when she heard that.

She swore—no matter what this wasteful academy tried to sell next, she would stay far, far away. She would never participate again!

The more she thought about it, the angrier she beca.

Without another word, she turned and leapt straight out the window.

"ntor! Wait—ntor, you're leaving just like that?!"

Watching her vanish, Velen was nearly in tears.

This had been his grand debut—a landmark auction at Stellar Auction, painstakingly crafted to leave a mark.

And now it had been ruined by his unluckiest ntor.

He now understood.

His ntor hadn't co to support him.

She had co to cent her role as the universal sucker.

And she had done so spectacularly.

What stunned him the most was… she didn't even leave one item for anyone else.

Now those bidders probably thought the entire thing was a scam!

Who would dare co next ti?

"Master," Blackie said respectfully as he entered the room. "I've detected several people following your ntor. They may pose a threat. Should I eliminate them now?"

"They're probably planning to rob her, huh?" Velen asked calmly.

"Yes. Should I wipe them all out?"

"No need."

"Iron Cub is shadowing her. With him around, she won't be in any danger."

Blackie nodded without another word.

Still… he couldn't help but feel a little jealous of Ironback Centipede.

Even that spellbeast had a cooler nickna than he did.

Suddenly, Blackie rembered sothing.

"Master, I almost forgot. Baldy wants to change his na."

"He says 'Baldy' doesn't match his image. He'd like to be called 'Boulderfoot' instead."

"But since he doesn't get many chances to show up, he asked to tell you personally."

"Boulderfoot?"

Velen paused and thought for a mont.

"Hmm… actually, that suits him."

He quickly agreed.

After all, each of the ten formal Tycoon Guards had their own thoughts and identities. If one of them wanted a new na, of course he'd support it.

Turning back to Sherlock, Velen said, "Even though the auction had a bit of a surprise twist, I saw the effort you put in. I'm not going back on my promise."

Sherlock's eyes lit up.

Was this… the full inheritance?

Velen pulled out a spatial ring and handed it over.

"Everything you need is inside this ring. Go and absorb it well."

"Ding! Congratulations, Master! Special action completed. You've earned 100 million luxury points and received a bonus of 1,000 Deathworms!"

"…System, what's a Deathworm?" Velen blinked in confusion.

Usually the rewards were rare items or materials. Why was he suddenly receiving living creatures?

Deathworm: A rare species of deadly insect found only in the Singularity Battlefield. Natural lifespan: 1,000 years. If it bites any being—human or spellbeast, regardless of power level—it dies within one minute. The bitten target also dies.

As he read through the system's description, Velen's eyes sparkled with surprise.

This was his first ti receiving living creatures as a reward.

And not just any creatures—tiny, lethal assassins.

"They have no combat power, not even classified as spellbeasts, yet they can kill Ascended Rank beings with a single bite? Fascinating."

"Truly, the universe is full of wonders."

Velen grew more curious.

"System, if I accidentally get bitten by a Deathworm, is there any way to survive?"

Ding! If you are bitten, survival is only possible if you are bitten by another Deathworm within one minute—essentially curing poison with poison.

Ding! Also, Deathworms are said to be delicious.

"…Delicious?"

Velen couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Was that the system's not-so-subtle hint on what to do with the thousand worms?

Pair them with a few soul crystals for seasoning… mmm, tasty!

"Sherlock," Velen said, still chuckling, "we stirred up quite a storm today. But don't worry about safety—I'll have people watching over you."

"As for the auction items, you can retrieve more anyti from the fortress."

"By the way, your father's currently stationed at the fortress, serving as a senator."

"Well, I've got so business to attend to, so I'll be off now."

He clapped Sherlock on the shoulder, activated a Spatial Portal, and vanished from the room.

"I won't let you down, Your Highness!"

Sherlock clenched his fists, his eyes full of resolve.

Uno Kingdom – Arthur's Mansion.

"Damn it!"

"We just turned around for a second, and His Highness Velen's back again?!"

Seeing the familiar Spatial Rift form, the expressions of the nine Knight Commanders instantly tightened.

"Huh?"

"Arthur, what happened to your face?"

Velen erged from the portal and stared at Arthur, whose face was swollen like a pig's.

...???

What do you an what happened?!

Arthur didn't even have the energy to respond.

Last ti, Velen had said he needed help.

Arthur, ever the loyal subordinate, had gone to seek out the King, the Prince, and Galdorin.

And when he returned… Velen was already gone.

The Knight Commanders, hearing Arthur's report, had passed the ssage along.

Then the royals had beaten the crap out of him—kicking him so hard that even his own mother wouldn't have recognized him.

What did I do to deserve this?!

All I wanted was so backup!

Velen, seeing Arthur's silence, figured there must be things he couldn't say. So he let it go.

"Arthur, I'm here again because I need a favor—please call the King, the Prince, and Galdorin."

That one sentence nearly caused Arthur's eyeballs to pop out of his head.

They had just kicked him out.

Now he had to go bring them back?

Was this man serious?

Your Highness Velen… are you joking with right now?!
