Capítulo 1045: Chapter 1045: The Past Is Not the Present
The group left the neighborhood where Qi Rong was, and on the way back, Chu Yin was silent the entire ti.
Lin Zhiyi glanced at her and looked down to reply to Gong Chen’s ssage.
“That person refused Chu Yin. I don’t understand why Mr. Sang doesn’t directly take action against Sister ng.”
“Since you discovered her, how can you be sure she hasn’t already got so dirt on Chu Yin?” Gong Chen replied.
“What kind of dirt could Chu Yin possibly have?”
“Everyone has a different perspective; among so many people, can Chu Yin really withstand all those eyes?”
Looking at the ssage, Lin Zhiyi thought of Qi Rong, who also fell from grace in an instant.
Gong Chen sent another ssage.
“It’s certainly not the first ti Sister ng has done this. No one knows how much dirt she has on people. Such people are hard to deal with, yet easy to deal with.”
After all, there must be many who hate her.
Especially Sister ng, who has always been ruthless and two-faced for her own desires.
Lin Zhiyi sent back an understanding emoji, then turned to hold Chu Yin’s hand.
“Don’t overthink, the fact that she’s tried repeatedly indicates she doesn’t have enough to target you. Just be careful in the future.”
Chu Yin nodded, feeling sowhat helpless, and said, “I don’t know why, seeing Qi Rong like that leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I feel she should have had a better future.”
Lin Zhiyi didn’t know what to say for a mont.
Because she knows Qi Rong’s ultimate fate better than anyone.
Sang Li advised, “Everyone has their own choices, Qi Rong needs ti to make the choice she desires.”
Initially, Chu Yin didn’t quite understand the aning of Sang Li’s words.
Lin Zhiyi comforted, “Chu Yin, believe in yourself, and believe in Qi Rong.”
Just now, Chu Yin’s heartfelt words had clearly reached Qi Rong.
However, Qi Rong had experienced many things unknown to them, so she couldn’t make a decision quickly.
Chu Yin nodded.
The car stopped, and Lin Zhiyi got out.
“Assistant Chen has co to pick up, I’ll head back first.”
“Zhiyi, thank you for today.” Chu Yin smiled.
“We’re good friends, no need for thanks. Let know if anything cos up.”
Lin Zhiyi said, nodding at Sang Li, and turned to leave.
…
Chu Yin followed Sang Li back to the apartnt.
She was so focused that she didn’t realize the scent of tea until it wafted to her senses.
She actually didn’t drink much tea, started slowly when hanging out with Lin Zhiyi and the others.
Lin Zhiyi had given her so good tea leaves, and she then understood why rich people spend so much on tea leaves.
The aroma of tea truly had a calming effect.
Chu Yin picked up the teacup, looked at Sang Li, and rembered he was supposed to return to Hai City today.
“Sorry, did I disrupt your plan?”
Sang Li checked his watch: “No rush, I can still make it back overnight.”
Chu Yin pressed her lips together.
How is it the sa?
Originally he could have rested a bit, now he undoubtedly had to work non-stop again.
Chu Yin imdiately stood up: “You should get going, I’m fine now.”
Standing at the door, Zhou Zhao chid in: “Master, why not…”
Sang Li got up, looked at Chu Yin, then checked his watch.
“Are you sure you can manage on your own?”
“Don’t worry, I used to be by myself.”
Chu Yin nudged him towards the door.
Sang Li stood still, deeply stating, “It’s not like before now.”
Chu Yin paused, staring blankly at him.
A warm feeling surged inside her, wanting to say sothing, but with Zhou Zhao present she held back.
Sang Li gazed at her, whispering: “Do you have plans for tomorrow?”
“Nope. Why?”
“…”
Sang Li looked at her aningfully.
Chu Yin was surprised, “You don’t an…”
Two hours later, Chu Yin was fully geared up, following Sang Li to the airport.
Even when she sat on the plane, Chu Yin felt it was like a dream.
She actually followed Sang Li back to Hai City.
Before she could say anything, her phone rang.
“Chu Yin, where are you?”
It was Sister ng.
Zhou Zhao had soone deliver a new phone to Chu Yin, and after switching the SIM cards, she placed her old phone back in the tal box.
Sister ng probably hadn’t sensed her absence for a long ti and thus started suspecting.
Chu Yin knew now wasn’t the ti for a complete fallout.
She smiled, “I’m at the Gong Family’s place, security here is pretty tight. Zhiyi and I are accompanying the Second Madam, don’t worry, Zhiyi will send to Hai City in a couple of days, we can et there.”
“What?”
“Gotta go, Second Madam is calling .”
Chu Yin switched off her phone before the flight attendant arrived.
She sighed in relief, knowing Sister ng definitely wouldn’t dare verify with the Gong Family.
“What’s wrong?” Sang Li sat down, handing over the juice brought by the flight attendant, “Sister ng?”
Chu Yin nodded, “She won’t suspect anything, right?”
Sang Li pointed at the juice, “No, even if she did, she wouldn’t dare investigate.”
Chu Yin nodded, sipping the juice while secretly observing Sang Li.
Noticing, Sang Li opened the file Zhou Zhao handed over.
“What are you looking at?”
“Why did you ask to co back to Hai City with you? Don’t tell … you couldn’t bear to be apart?”
Chu Yin propped her chin, looking at Sang Li expectantly.
Sang Li flipped a page calmly, “Wasn’t it you who wanted to earn more to buy a house? With your current ability, buying a house outright might only get you one next to Jing City. I happen to have a friend in Hai City wanting to discuss a cooperation with you.”
Chu Yin’s shoulders slumped, pursing her lips.
“Oh.”
Then she turned to look out the window, muttering.
She didn’t believe it for a second.
She knew Sang Li just wanted to take her back.
Before she knew it, Chu Yin fell asleep.
Once the plane stabilized, Zhou Zhao approached Sang Li.
He was about to report when Sang Li put a finger to his lips, signaling to discuss elsewhere.
They moved to the bar, where the flight attendant poured them two drinks.
“Enjoy.”
She then tactfully left.
Sang Li picked up his glass, “Go ahead.”
Zhou Zhao said, “I looked into Sister ng’s connections and found she’s been closely associating with people from Hai City lately, even pushing aside other arrangents for Chu Yin’s work in Hai City.”
Sang Li paused with the drink, “Specifically arranging for Chu Yin to go to Hai City?”
“Yes, the company has a monthly rental at a hotel in Hai City, lasting at least two months, and there seems to be no issue with the event arrangents,” Zhou Zhao replied.
Sang Li took a sip of his drink, “Seems those behind Sister ng couldn’t wait any longer.”
Zhou Zhao frowned, “Master, how are you sure soone’s behind Sister ng? She seems ambitious, but Chu Yin just happens to be of use.”
Sang Li stated calmly, “Until now, no intern has approached , but she’s privately recruited many. Clearly, these people are just an eye shielding technique; the one truly trying to approach hasn’t shown up yet.”
Zhou Zhao understood.
“So this person is very likely from Hai City.”
“Keep gathering evidence. Sister ng can’t stay, but I want it handled quietly.”
Sang Li, as a businessman, knew the importance of quietly earning large profits.
The sa applied to handling matters.
Zhou Zhao nodded.
“Master, where will Chu Yin stay now? If it’s the hotel, she might be recognized, and Sister ng would find out.”
