Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes Chapter 119: I’ll Take Responsibility for You
Alia Wright approached, but it wasn’t to leave with Oliver Wright.
She walked closer and lazily said, "So, Mr. Wright doesn’t care about the 30% shares of the Wright family I took back then?"
Back then, Oliver Wright was so angry that he ended up in the hospital, how could he not care?
Upon hearing Alia ntion it now, he imdiately felt a surge of anger, his mind was hot, but Oliver still forced himself to suppress his inner fury.
He sighed and said, "We’re all family, could I really be angry with you? Alia, I know the arranged marriage was the thing you couldn’t accept the most, but luckily you are divorced now, everything will go back to the way it was. I decided to marry Ava to Young Master Shaw, so that Young Master Shaw won’t pester you in the future, and... can you forgive dad?"
Alia felt a wave of nausea rise in her stomach.
These words were truly disgusting to hear.
Marrying Ava to the Young Master Shaw, what a ridiculous idea.
Seeing her silence, Oliver thought Alia was considering it, making him hopeful that convincing Alia was possible.
He added more incentives: "And I’ve talked to Ava, she won’t compete with you over Marsh Smith, and she will help you and Marsh get together. Co on, co back ho with , the Shaw family doesn’t want you, but the door of the Wright family is always open for you."
After saying this, Oliver looked at Alia with loving eyes, thinking that he had spoken so well that even he was almost moved by his own words.
Hailey Smith was listening on the side, feeling an intense urge to hit soone. This Oliver Wright was truly audacious, trying to steal the eldest young master’s resources right in front of her.
Alia didn’t answer whether she would go back or not, instead, she directly asked, "Is there a catch to what you’re saying?"
Oliver was delighted, "We’re father and daughter, all family, what terms could there be? You’ve divorced Young Master Shaw now and still work at Cloudglow, which isn’t really a good thing; many people are gossiping about you. You don’t really need to work. If you lack money, just tell . If you can’t sit idle and really want to work, co to the family business."
Alia’s attitude improved a lot, "I’ll think about it."
Hailey looked at the Young Madam, then at Oliver Wright, shocked, worrying that the Young Madam might really agree.
Hailey was anxious. If the Young Madam was taken away under her watch, the eldest young master would definitely tear her apart.
Oliver was also anxious. Alia still wanted to think about it, but their press conference was this afternoon, and there wasn’t ti to consider.
Oliver, a bit awkwardly, said, "Alia, I can give you ti to think. You can co back anyti as long as you agree, but for now, I have a small matter... I need your help."
"What small matter?"
Oliver pretended to be in a difficult position, "Well, our company originally planned to hold a new product launch today, but after seeing the custom jewelry you designed for Cloudglow, I feel like our company’s designers have no brains at all. Do you have any unused design drafts? I can only appreciate your design drafts now."
What Oliver said was quite artistic. Clearly, he was asking for design drafts, yet it sounded like he was giving face to Alia, saying he could only appreciate her designs.
Alia imdiately nodded and said, "I do have design drafts, quite a few unused ones. However, they are sowhat similar to Cloudglow’s new season style. If you want them, I can give them to you."
Oliver couldn’t control the joy on his face, "Yes, I want them. Give them to first, and then when you’ve made your decision, I’ll co to take you ho."
Alia nodded, went back to her room, and handed a few design drawings to Oliver.
Oliver quickly browsed them and was very satisfied, leaving with a sense of contentnt.
Hailey was stunned, the Young Madam agreed just like that...
Does the Young Madam really still have feelings for the Wright family?
To give the design drafts ant for Cloudglow to a rival company.
If the eldest young master knew about this, how sad he would be!
As Alia watched Oliver leave, a cold smile gradually surfaced on her lips.
Did they think they were getting benefits by taking those design drafts?
Soon Oliver would know who dictates the direction of high-end jewelry customization in Riverwood City.
After Oliver handed these design drafts to the company, everyone was very satisfied.
Though these were sowhat similar to Cloudglow’s new products, they definitely weren’t plagiarism, at most, they looked like part of a series, completely usable.
On Oliver’s side, preparations for the afternoon’s new product launch were quickly expedited.
...
Shaw family villa.
"Ah!"
A scream woke Marsh Smith.
He rubbed his slightly hurting head and opened his eyes.
He was just about to tell the screar to stop when he saw the chaotic scene in front of him.
Ava Wright lay next to him, scantily clad, clutching the blanket to cover her body, screaming in terror.
Marsh was instantly startled awake; he didn’t need to be told to know what had happened.
Ava’s tears wouldn’t stop flowing, drops of 45 degrees, posing in what she thought was her most beautiful posture.
But she didn’t know her foundation wasn’t very waterproof; after a night without removing makeup, her state was hard to describe. Now that tears ran down, they left streaks on her pale face, with mascara smudged, a pitiful sight, almost ghost-like.
Marsh was truly frightened, swallowing back the words he was about to say—"I’ll take responsibility."
He anxiously said, "Ava... I, I didn’t an it."
Ava’s tears flowed even more fiercely. She accused, "Marsh Smith, what do you an by this? Last night you forced like that, and now a simple ’I didn’t an it’ is supposed to make pretend yesterday never happened?"
In such an emotionally intense state, Ava’s face looked even scarier.
Marsh furrowed his brows tightly, "Ava, you insisted on coming over to drink with yesterday. This can’t entirely be my fault."
Ava hadn’t expected that the once-accommodating Marsh Smith would be so heartless. Her heart was filled with hatred.
She slowly lowered her head, her voice no longer sharp but softly, like a deeply hurt whisper, "Marsh, I was just too confused; it’s not that I want to bla you. I risked everything to save you when we were young, how could I want to make things difficult for you?"
At this, Marsh suddenly softened.
Yes, Ava wasn’t just so irrelevant woman; she was his savior!
He could fail anyone, but not Ava.
Marsh imdiately lowered his head and surrendered, "Ava, I’m sorry, my attitude was bad before. In regard to this situation, I... am willing to take responsibility."
Ava kept her head down, but hearing this, her lips curled into a mocking smile. She knew that as long as she ntioned saving his life, Marsh would surely give in.
She raised her head with a sad face and shook her head in refusal at Marsh.
"Marsh, I don’t want you to take responsibility. How could I deserve you in my current state? I know you like Alia, and I will make sure you two can be together."
Marsh was stunned.
Ava looked up at Marsh and softly said, "Marsh, I only hope you can be happy."
Marsh looked at the wronged Ava, then at the bloodstain on the bed, and his heart ached so much he couldn’t bear it. Gratefully, he hugged Ava tightly.
But he couldn’t see the malicious, calculated smile Ava had while in his arms.
