Tilo woke early, excited. Today was the day.

For weeks, he had watched the slis in the nearby swamp. They bounced and wobbled, making funny noises. Sotis they split into smaller pieces and rejoined. To Tilo, they looked like strange little blobs of fun.

But slis were monsters, too. Dangerous if angry. The village hunters always warned kids to stay away.

But Tilo wasn't a hunter yet. He wanted his own companion, just like Caelen had Skitter the spider.

[Quest: Ta a sli – Reward: 10 coins, Skill points]

Tilo laced up his boots and grabbed a small pouch with sli bait — a mix of sweet berries and water.

His ring glowed faintly. It showed his current skill level: Novice Goblin, with no combat skills yet.

"I need to get stronger," Tilo whispered. "And this sli will be my first step."

The swamp was damp and muddy, filled with buzzing insects and the croaks of frogs. Tilo moved slowly, careful not to make noise.

Suddenly, a soft wobble caught his attention.

There it was—a small blue sli, shimring under the morning sun.

Tilo froze and held out the bait.

The sli blinked, then bounced closer, curious.

Heart pounding, Tilo reached out his hand.

[Attempting to ta sli...

The sli hesitated, then jiggled and pressed against Tilo's palm.

Tilo grinned.

"Gotcha."

The sli's na appeared in his mind: "Blob."

[Tad Sli: Blob]

[Level: 1]

[Skills: Bounce, Split]

[Mood: Friendly]

Blob bounced happily and circled Tilo's feet.

The ring on Tilo's finger flashed.

[New Skill Unlocked: Sli Handler (Lv.1)]

Tilo's confidence soared.

"This is just the beginning."

Back in the village, Tilo showed Blob to the others.

"Look! I tad a sli!" he said proudly.

So goblins laughed.

"You'll get eaten!" one teased.

But Garin nodded with a smile. "Good work, Tilo. Keep training it, and it'll protect you."

Tilo bead.

Days passed.

Tilo practiced with Blob every morning.

He learned that Blob could split into two smaller slis and then rge back.

When Tilo threw a rock, Blob bounced after it and brought it back.

He learned to control Blob's bounces and moves.

[Sli Handler Lv. 2]

[Blob Lv. 2 – New Skill: Sticky Trap]

One afternoon, while practicing near the edge of the forest, Tilo and Blob were suddenly surrounded by three wild slis—green, red, and yellow.

Tilo froze.

Blob bounced forward, sticky and ready.

The wild slis tried to attack, but Blob used its sticky trap to slow them down.

Tilo swung a stick he'd sharpened.

[Combat Started]

[Tilo: Attack (Stick Swing)]

[Blob: Skill – Sticky Trap]

The fight was ssy and fast.

Blob split to confuse the enemies.

Tilo swung and dodged.

After a tense mont, the wild slis sloshed away, retreating.

Tilo's heart pounded.

He turned to Blob, grinning.

"We did it!"

That evening, Caelen stopped by.

"How's your sli?"

Tilo showed him Blob's tricks.

Caelen smiled, impressed.

"You're learning fast. Rember, training is the key."

Tilo nodded. "I want to be strong like you."

Caelen clapped a hand on his shoulder.

"You will be. Just keep at it."

Weeks turned into months.

Tilo and Blob beca a familiar pair in the village.

He helped with small jobs, using Blob's sticky trap to catch sneaky critters ruining crops.

He learned how to aim and command Blob better.

His ring showed his progress:

[Tilo – Sli Handler Lv. 5]

[Blob – Lv. 5]

[New Skills: Bounce Attack, Split Confuse]

One day, Tilo stood before the guild board.

[Guild Rank: Bronze]

He smiled, knowing this was just the start.

He wasn't jealous anymore of others with strong skills.

He was on his own path.

And Blob was by his side.
