Reborn in the Seventies: Pampered Wife, Owning some Farmland Chapter 95 - 95 Twins1
Chapter 95: Chapter 95 Twins_1
“Auntie, you’re so nice.” Zhang Yunxuan’s son started to peel the seeds.
Seeing her son’s clumsy movents, Yun n also helped him.
“Xiaon, how many months are you?”
Yun n gives a slight smile, “More than three months.”
ng Yunhan exclaims in mock surprise, “When I was three months pregnant, it wasn’t noticeable, but you already look like you’re over four months pregnant. Are you expecting twins?”
As she says this, she pours Yun n a cup of spring water, hoping that it will help her better maintain her pregnancy.
“Twins?” Yun n is genuinely surprised. Her mother-in-law had told her that she might be carrying a girl, which could explain her protruding belly.
“Yes, twins. Xiaon, haven’t you considered it?”
Yun n awkwardly touches her head, “I genuinely haven’t.”
“Xiaon, when you get ho, discuss it with your husband. If it turns out to be two children, you need to be on top of your nutrition.” ng Yunhan advises earnestly, hoping Yun n would take it to heart. Even though she had only t Yun n’s husband twice, she could tell that he cared about his wife. However, she couldn’t understand why Yun n had miscarried in her previous life.
This thought continued to confuse ng Yunhan.
“Sister-in-law, I understand.”
“Your mother is out gathering pigweed. She’ll be back soon.” Because ng Yunhan was already over seven months pregnant, her mother-in-law went out alone to do the work.
In reality, during this past month, ng Yunhan did go out to gather pigweed, but her father-in-law always brought it back.
ng Yunhan subtly suggested that Yun n get a check-up. If she indeed was pregnant with twins, she could make the necessary preparations.
When Zhang Yunxuan’s son was leaving, ng Yunhan filled his pockets with pine nuts.
“Little Zhuzi, even if your mother doesn’t tell your father, you should. If you do, next ti, Auntie will make you milled syrup candy.”
“Is it the kind sold in the town?”
“Yes, it’s sold in town.”
Yun n watches this scene, smiling. Now she understood why her son was so fond of his aunt. It was clearly because of the food.
“Alright.” Zhang Yunxuan’s son eagerly agrees.
After Yun n left, Yunhan’s mother returned.
“Mother, you’re back.” ng Yunhan was already cooking.
“I’m back.” Her mother washes her hands in the warm water.
“Mom, Xiaon was here just now. Her stomach seems larger than mine was when I was three months pregnant. Could she be carrying twins?”
ng Yunhan made this comnt to alert her mother-in-law. If Xiaon was indeed pregnant with twins and continued overworking herself, she could potentially miscarry, especially considering how pale she was today.
Her mother paused, then gasped in surprise, “Twins?”
“Yes, twins. I wonder if this runs in her husband’s family.”
Her mother pondered, “I haven’t heard of such a thing.”
“Mother, you should tell Xiaon to get a check-up. If she is carrying twins and isn’t getting enough nutrition, the babies could end up underweight.” ng Yunhan was subtle in her phrasing, not ntioning that it could lead to a miscarriage. She didn’t want to create further anxiety if her sister-in-law or elder sister-in-law heard about it; she wasn’t sure how they would react.
Her mother dries her hands, “You’re right, I’ll go see.”
“Mom, dinner’s almost ready.”
Just as ng Yunhan finished speaking, her mother had already left the house.
