Chapter 226: Chapter 226: When Brothers are of the Sa Mind, Their Sharpness Can Cut Through tal_1

Yun’s father sighed, “Ahao, the sun outside is strong now, it’s already noon.”

Yet Yun Hao replied solemnly, “This bit of sun is nothing.”

Yun Shuang felt slightly exasperated and sighed internally. She did not want Ahao’s relationship with the family to remain strained before his departure tomorrow. She decided to persuade him, “Ahao, you’re returning to the army tomorrow, and we don’t know when you’ll be back next. Please, just have lunch before you leave!”

Yun’s father understood Ahao’s intentions for wanting to leave. He wondered, was it because he had abruptly cut off his wife’s chatter? At this point, how could his wife still harbor hopes for their three sons to reconcile?

Firstly, had they co over each ti Ahao returned ho?

If they truly cared, if they truly valued their brotherhood, they would have already apologized or explained why they acted as they did. But they hadn’t, they hadn’t at all.

What does that signify?

Anyone could guess the answer unless they were foolish.

Ahao was no fool, he just chose to remain silent.

When Yun Hao expressed his desire to leave, their mother was filled with a wave of emotions, looking as if she was trying to say sothing yet swallowing down her words in the end, fearing she might say sothing inappropriate.

They were brothers, united by blood!

Seeing that Yun Hao didn’t reject the idea, Yun Shuang knew he had loosened up and coaxed him with a smile on her face, “Ahao, after lunch, let’s go together. I still have to go to town to see Little Huzi and Hanhan. We don’t know when we’ll et again.”

She hadn’t had a chance to visit them as she had been busy at work, and to her dismay, she found out that Hanhan had taken Ahao and Little Huzi to town while she was visiting her parents. Now that Ahao had awakened, she still hadn’t made the trip to see the two of them.

Yun’s father felt a bitter taste in his mouth. Everything that had occurred could not be erased.

It was as if they all had a thorn in their hearts.

Yun Hao finally couldn’t take it anymore. Seeing his sister’s pleading eyes, he agreed, “Mm.”

Hearing his response, Yun Shuang broke into a heartfelt smile, “Mom, let’s go cook.”

Yun’s mother was thrilled, speaking with a hint of excitent, “Good, good, we’ll go cook.”

The mother and daughter duo headed to the kitchen to cook, leaving only Yun’s father and Ahao in the living room.

Yun’s father furrowed his brow slightly, “Ahao, how’s your recovery?” The last ti he heard from Hanhan about so kind of ‘rebuild,’ but he was not certain what ‘rebuild’ ant. He wanted to ask about Ahao’s health; if he wasn’t recovering well, would he be discharged or retire?

Yun Hao was always concise in his replies.

“All’s well.”

These four simple words made Yun’s father smile. His eyes brimd with deep laugh lines, and noticeable white hairs flecked his temples.

Yun Hao looked at his aging father, “Father, I rember when we were young, you always taught us that ‘when brothers unite, their combined efforts could cut gold.’

Yun’s father recollected the words he imparted to his children. Who amongst them could uphold this lesson? His old eyes saw everything clearly.

Despite raising his children with so much love, he still had to bear witness to his sons’ deterioration of their relationship, estranging each other.

He thought back to his younger days when he had to leave ho in search of work, not only because his family was poor, but also due to his own conflicts with his siblings. Therefore, after he had his own children, he frequently reinforced the principle that unity between brothers was as unbreakable as gold.
