Chapter 213: Chapter 213 Who Sees My Tears?

Of course, Tong Yao knew the implications of Jia Qing dying here. If it weren’t for the fact that they were in her store, she really had a mont where she wanted the wasps to sting him to death. Just the thought of Jia Qing on top of her made her feel nauseous, even to the point where she wanted to step on him and end his life, making him regret ever being born.

Yet, reason prevailed over anger. Tears still hung on Tong Yao’s face, but her expression was fiercely determined. She quickly found a rope and tied up Jia Qing.

Jia Qing was dizzy and disoriented, unable to fight back. He could only groan in pain, pleading constantly, "Yaoyao, please, call a doctor. I’m in so much pain, I might really die here if you don’t. I’m finding it hard to breathe, Yaoyao. For the sake of our acquaintance, please get

a doctor. I promise to never bother you again. I won’t let my uncle co either."

Having grown up spoilt by his parents, Jia Qing had never experienced such tornt. For once, he resolved to be honest. Even if a pile of gold were placed in front of him, he would not entertain any ill intentions.

Tong Yao glared, "Shut up, if you say one more word, I’ll stuff a spoonful of feces into your mouth."

Jia Qing imdiately fell silent at these words. He didn’t doubt Tong Yao’s threat. If she said it, she would do it. If she said she would kill him, Jia Qing might have doubted her, but when it ca to stuffing manure in his mouth, anyone could do it.

No sooner had Tong Yao straightened up than Si Boyi rushed in from outside. Seeing Tong Yao’s disheveled hair and torn collar, he glared murderously at Jia Qing. "Jia Qing, you dare to co back? I’ll kill you." With that, he raised his foot to kick Jia Qing in the stomach.

If that kick had landed, Jia Qing would’ve lost half his life. An accident would then beco intentional, greatly complicating matters.

"Don’t hit him anymore, or he’ll die." Tong Yao swiftly pulled Si Boyi back. "You go get the cart. We’ll take him to the police station."

Spying Tong Yao blocking Si Boyi, Jia Qing breathed a sigh of relief. Had Si Boyi’s kick landed, he would have been dead for sure.

"Sister-in-law," Si Boyi remained standing without moving. Taking a glance at Tong Yao’s collar, he quickly looked away, suppressing his fury. "Did he...did he do anything to you?"

Realizing what was implied in Si Boyi’s words, Tong Yao fell silent. Did she look like Jia Qing had succeeded in his vile intentions?

If Jia Qing had succeeded this ti, she would have given up the shop and ended his life here and now.

"Stop imagining things. He didn’t accomplish anything. Hurry and get the cart to take him to the police station."

Hearing this, Si Boyi looked slightly relieved. "Sister-in-law, stay here for a mont. I’ll return shortly."

With that, he turned and ran out, returning soon afterwards with Si Xiaohui, pushing the wooden cart. On arrival, Si Xiaohui bombarded Tong Yao with questions. Tong Yao had no patience to explain too much. She directly took the siblings and hauled Jia Qing off to the police station.

Jia Qing had swollen to the point of being unrecognizable. The police hurriedly summoned a dic to treat him as soon as they saw his condition. Thankfully, Jia Qing was hardy. Even with sting marks all over his body, his life wasn’t threatened.

A police officer took Tong Yao’s deposition while another officer noticed several other people involved in the case. The face of the police officers instantly hardened. Li City was generally peaceful. Criminal cases such as this one hadn’t occurred for at least a decade. To brazenly commit a cri in front of a school, the actions of these six to seven grown n were utterly reprehensible.

One of the officers recognized Tong Yao and couldn’t help sighing inwardly. Sotis, being too beautiful could be a kind of disaster for a girl.

By the ti Tong Yao left the police station, it was already past eight in the evening. As soon as they stepped out of the police station, Si Xiaohui curiously asked, "Sister-in-law, you seem unfazed by such a big incident."

The last ti she was nearly sold, she rembered crying for a long ti, almost scared to death. Tong Yao had almost been raped, yet she appeared so calm. Sotis, she wasn’t sure whether to admire Tong Yao’s courage or suggest that she was a bit clueless.

"Who said I wasn’t scared?" Even now, Tong Yao felt sowhat dazed. She could not imagine what might have happened if the wasps had arrived a mont later.

Assuming the worst, if Jia Qing had indeed succeeded, she would certainly not commit suicide. But she would feel dirty and very likely end her relationship with Si Chen, probably leaving Li City alone, never setting foot in this city again till her last breath.

Si Xiaohui was skeptical about Tong Yao’s claid fear. "You’re not crying."

Tong Yao spoke softly, "Your older brother is not here, who am I crying for?"

Si Xiaohui was dumbfounded: ...doesn’t one cry because they’re scared? And only when the older brother sees it?

In verbal sparring, Si Xiaohui never won over Tong Yao. Not wanting to make a fool of herself, she thought of speaking to Si Boyi but then noticed that he was lagging behind. "Second brother, why are you dilly-dallying back there?"

Si Boyi snapped out of his thoughts and caught up with the others, remorsefully stating, "Sister-in-law, your older brother is helping out in the disaster area and left you in the care of Xiaohui and . We didn’t take good care of you and almost let a major incident happen. It was all because of my negligence. At least nothing major happened today, otherwise I would never be able to face my older brother, even in death. I should have kicked him a couple of tis before, let him taste the repercussions of bullying others."

It’s good that nothing happened this ti. If sothing had happened under his watch, he would’ve lost face in front of his brother and would’ve felt too ashad to return to their village.

Si Xiaohui felt that Si Boyi was just trying to score points with his sister-in-law by acting remorseful and playing the emotional card. She rolled her eyes and said, "Second brother, nothing happened to my sister-in-law, why are you so upset?"

Even if sothing did happen, what could it be?

Perhaps, Si Xiaohui reasoned, sister-in-law and Jia Qing aren’t doing it for the first ti. Otherwise, why would Jia Qing not go for soone else and insist on choosing the sister-in-law?

Of course, these thoughts were only expressed within Si Xiaohui’s mind. She did not dare voice them out loud. After all, only sister-in-law, her older brother, and Jia Qing themselves knew the truth behind the matter.

Upon hearing this, Si Boyi exclaid heatedly, "If sothing happened to sister-in-law, I would’ve killed Jia Qing today. I’d rather sacrifice my own life."

Hearing the conversation between the two, Tong Yao rubbed her temples in annoyance. "Stop making wild guesses. No one is allowed to bring this up in the future. I’ll tell Ahchen when he cos back. I’m tired and just want to return ho and rest."

Scared, how could she not be scared?

Even thinking about it now, Tong Yao still felt shaken. But, what’s done is done, so what’s the point of being scared now? Jia Qing was arrested now, this was his retribution. He would certainly not be set free for three to five years. By that ti, she would be in Kyoto, so there’s no need to fear any revenge from him.

Fortunately, she had kept her wits about her in the past. Otherwise, she would have really gotten into trouble this ti.

Every ti she thought of Jia Qing pressing down on her and kissing her neck, Tong Yao felt dirty, as if she could still taste Jia Qing’s foul salivary flavor on her neck, and wanted to return ho and take a shower right away.
