Chapter 666: Chapter 666: Suspicion (5 Updates)

It wasn’t until Xu Niannian spoke.

“Mr. Sun, long ti no see,” she said.

Her clear voice reached Sun Qiang’s ears, and it took him half a day to recognize who the woman in front of him was.

Sun Qiang hurriedly stood up to greet her.

“CEO Xu, you have arrived,” he said.

With the developnt of Xu’s Liuyue Su up to this point, the entire southern city had been conquered, and as a businessman himself, Sun Qiang knew just how shocking it was to take over the entire southern market.

So even though he was newly dissatisfied with the sudden turn of events, he did not show it outwardly, keeping a polite facade.

It was a far cry from his previous temperantal self.

Xu Niannian, however, did not mind.

She went straight to the point, “Mr. Sun, I ca here this ti to understand more about the recent appearance of counterfeit products in the market. Could you find the ti for a detailed discussion?”

The matter had been reported to Xu Zhiqiang by Sun Qiang and his wife, but when Xu Zhiqiang ca to address it, they were not very cooperative.

It was not that they had grown arrogant with the success of their business, but rather, they suspected that the Xu Family itself was behind the sche, deliberately finding soone to sabotage them.

They thought Xu Zhiqiang was just going through the motions.

Moreover, with the recent issues occurring in his other companies, Sun Qiang was piled up with frustrating things and didn’t have the spare ti to sit down with Xu Zhiqiang for a thorough explanation.

More importantly, for an old hand in business like Sun Qiang, Xu Zhiqiang was too young and too green.

When Xu Zhiqiang first arrived, Sun Qiang did share so information with him, but Xu Zhiqiang wasn’t able to provide satisfactory answers imdiately.

So Sun Qiang increasingly felt that this was a trick crafted by the Xu Family themselves, just to have Xu Zhiqiang show up and pacify him and his wife. That’s why Sun Qiang decided to give Xu Zhiqiang the cold shoulder.

Unexpectedly, this led to the arrival of Xu Niannian, the elusive major shareholder.

Upon hearing Xu Niannian’s words, Sun Qiang raised his eyebrows slightly in surprise.

Could it really not be a ruse crafted by the Xu Family?

Sun Qiang knew about Xu Niannian having recently given birth, and although they had not t in person, they occasionally contacted each other over the phone, as business partners.

Sun Qiang knew that after the birth, she hardly dealt with the company’s affairs. Now that she had co out, the matter might not be as he had thought.

“Did Boss Xu just co from the capital?” Sun Qiang asked.

“Yes, I just got off the train not long ago,” Xu Niannian maintained a courteous smile.

Considerately, Sun Qiang said, “Boss Xu, you must be weary from the long journey. Why not go back and rest well, and we can talk tomorrow. In that case, I’ll have my assistant arrange accommodation for you.”

“No need,” Xu Niannian interrupted him. “Mr. Sun, there’s no need for formalities, we have already booked our hotel rooms. Since Mr. Sun is only available tomorrow, let’s set up a detailed discussion then.”

Now really wasn’t the suitable ti to talk about the matter, mainly because Sun Qiang still had a pile of things left unsettled.

Leaving Sun Qiang’s company, Xu Zhiqiang said, “When I ca over yesterday, Mr. Sun didn’t have this attitude.”

Xu Niannian laughed, “If he had been nice to you right from the start, he wouldn’t suspect us.”

“Suspect us?” Xu Zhiqiang was puzzled. “Why would he suspect us?”

This was sothing Xu Zhiqiang hadn’t considered; he thought Sun Qiang’s perfunctory behavior towards him was due to the ergence of a competitor, and he was busy dealing with it.

Hands behind her back, Xu Niannian said, “Of course, he suspects that we are behind the counterfeit Liuyue Su manufacturer.”
