The man sat beside her, facing the other direction. He placed his hand on hers, her body strangely calming at his cooling sensation.

"Tell , beautiful, should I just kill Killian?" The man leaned back so he could look at her face.

Alia couldn’t see his face because the hood only exposed his lips, and he gulped. Her insides trembled at his words. If it had been anyone, she would’ve thought they were joking. But not with him.

He was different. He made her feel that he could do everything he claid he wanted, and the realisation was daunting.

"Why do you keep haunting ?" Alia asked helplessly.

However, rather than feeling offended, the man grinned.

"Haunting? Does your body feel haunted? Or are you haunted by the fact that you need so much? Sweetheart, if I were haunting you, you would’ve been repulsed by like you are with everyone else. I am not haunting you. You are attracting ." The man’s words made Alia question her morals.

She sat there, not saying anything as she let her heart calm down. Helpless tears started to form on her face again, and she sniffed softly.

"Don’t cry. These pearls don’t need to be wasted here." The man touched her face, placing his fingers under her eyes and taking her tears like they were pearls.

Alia’s quickened heartbeat made him smile before he stood.

"I just wanted to let you know. I have my eyes on you, my darling. You were looking ethereal tonight. And this Killian, he doesn’t look like an Alpha who would live for long," the man said before he left into the woods.

Alia turned around after he left to see where he was walking.

But it was almost as if he disappeared. His shadow was nowhere to be seen, and she gulped.

Was this man even real or just a fragnt of her imagination?

Alia took a deep, shaky breath before she looked at the glowing mark on her wrist, which was only visible to her.

It glows even when this man cos to visit her. Was there a connection with this man that she couldn’t pinpoint? Was he really her fate? If yes, what was she supposed to do?

She already gave and promised her life to King Cyrus to repay him for everything he had done for her in her past life and for what he was still doing in her current life.

But if this man were her fate, hating him would be unfair to him, especially after all the efforts he was making.

What should she do in this situation? Alia licked her bottom lip.

After so ti, Ryan walks to the garden and sees her sitting idly on the bench.

"I apologise for everything you had to go through at our party when we assured you that things would be alright," Ryan said.

Alia looked up when she heard his words.

A soft smile appeared on her face.

"It’s okay. It wasn’t your fault. If we finish the celebration, I would like to return ho," Alia said.

Her words were soft, but Ryan could feel that she was distancing herself from him and the people around him, and for so reason, he thought they were to bla.

Then again, they lost her trust. So that was what they deserved.

After she found out how many people were arriving, she didn’t want to co to the party, but they persuaded her and said they would ensure she wouldn’t feel alone or too awkward with the crowd.

That was why they left their Gamma and Beta to tend to her while they were gone.

However, it was still their fault. At least one of them should’ve stayed back or taken her with them.

They failed to follow through on what they committed to her.

Seeing Ryan’s dejected face, Alia sighed.

"It’s not your fault, Alpha Ryan. Don’t bla yourself for sothing out of your control. No one knew Alpha Killian would act like that. I just feel tired," Alia said.

It was a cover-up to make him feel good, but Ryan didn’t want to make her more awkward by asking her to stay, so he asked if he should call a cab.

Alia shook her head and asked if anyone could take her to the pack’s border, where her driver would be waiting.

Ryan nodded and asked Derrick to arrange for soone to drop her off.

Aaron and Derrick weren’t pleased and wanted to stop her, but after Ryan told them that the girl was uncomfortable, even though she didn’t ntion it, they didn’t say anything and arranged for their Gamma to drop her at the pack borders.

Since Alia had taken Fabian’s number earlier, she ssaged him about the change in plans, and the guy didn’t hesitate to rush to her aid.

Alia opened the car door and sat inside the car, her mind still in a daze.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t see Cyrus sitting in the back seat.

When she entered the car, the man could feel sothing was wrong; her silence and dazed expression strengthened his assumption.

Since Alia had gone to another pack, he couldn’t send Sparrow to spy on her without explaining what a royal spy was doing there.

But that didn’t an he didn’t have a ans to know what happened at the party.

The faint sll of blood that lingered on her and the stains on her dress indicated it was sothing severe.

Cyrus looked at Fabian from the rearview mirror and nodded.

Fabian nodded back, not saying anything to disturb the princess as he ssaged the man they had paid in the Ashborn pack to convey the events to the King.

Once the man detailed everything, Fabian sent the ssage to Cyrus, who looked at his phone.

Alia raised the dagger and sliced Killian’s hand because he touched her despite her warning?

Cyrus read the sentence repetitively before he lifted his gaze and looked at the girl’s side profile.

"How was the party?" Cyrus asked.

Alia nearly jumped in her place when she heard his cold and calm voice.

She quickly looked at him with raised brows.

"I am sorry I didn’t notice you earlier," she bowed to him. The man tilted his head, leaning back in his seat leisurely.

He observed the startled girl with a satisfactory smile.

Her hatred towards Killian was starting to look real.

Alia realised he had asked her a question earlier, and she pressed her lips thinly.

"It was okay. I guess parties are not my thing," She said.

Cyrus humd, not eating anything before he looked out of the window.

He pulled out his phone and ssaged Blake.

"It seems Alpha Killian doesn’t know his place and isn’t worried about his pack anymore," Cyrus ssaged, the hidden aning behind his words loud and clear.
