Alia was already running low on patience and jerked her hand away.
"Sister Hannah, let finish my lunch, and I’ll join you later," Alia said loudly, and Hannah smiled stiffly.
"It’s okay, Alia. I was just worried about you. You eat your portion. I was careless. I shouldn’t have disturbed you," Hannah said, her eyes turning red.
Alexia and her other friends noticed this and couldn’t help but glare at Alia.
"Alia, don’t forget your place. Your sister was only worrying about you. How can you–?" Alexia started, but Alia just looked at her.
"Can you leave? You are making lose my appetite," Alia said.
Alexia, who was used to Alia running back and forth between them like a slave, couldn’t take her words and gritted her teeth.
"Have we acted too indulgent with you?" Alexia raised her hand, ready to strike Alia, not caring about the alphas because she knew they wouldn’t interfere with the healer’s matters.
Seeing the girl ready to buy Alia and rembering what happened in the morning, Ryan is about to protect Alia when the girl stands from her place.
Alia grabbed Alexia’s hand in a tight grip.
"Indulgence? Why do I need your indulgence? Who are you?" Alia asked.
Alexia glared at the girl.
"You!!" Alexia raised her hand again, but Alia couldn’t take it anymore.
She felt a weird rush of heat inside her, like a surge of anger, and gritted her teeth.
Without thinking twice, she grabbed Alexia’s other hand and twisted it behind her back.
She kicked the back of Alexia’s knees, making her kneel on the ground. The embarrassing sound of the fabric tearing echoed in the now silent canteen.
"Sobody told today that patience has limits too. Don’t test mine," Alia said before she grabbed Alexia’s fistful of hair.
She rembered the day when she had denied following their orders and acting like their waiter one day when she was on her period and was suffering from the worst cramps.
They had fisted her hair and pushed it in hot red sauce pasta to teach her a lesson. Her face had been scalded then, and Hannah had just scolded all of them.
Rembering that day, Alia turned around and looked at the dustbin full of people’s leftovers.
She dragged the girl and forced her face into the dustbin, her sudden violent side making everyone widen their eyes.
"Rember how you did the exact thing with when we were in eighth standard? You did it with hot pasta. You are lucky I am not a monster like you. Stop coming between and my sister and sowing discord. I love Hannah a lot. She is the only one who gets . Next ti you try to sow discord, I will kill you," Alia added the last lines to justify her actions before she let go of the girl.
Humiliated publicly, Alexia scread in embarrassnt before she ran out of the canteen, Hannah’s other friends following her.
Alia took a deep breath before she pretended to be hurt and winced in pain.
Her eyes welled with tears, and she walked to Hannah.
"I am sorry, sister Hannah. In the past, many people have tried to co between you and . I won’t let that happen anymore. Thank you for caring for . I’ll eat my lunch now," Alia said, blinking her eyes innocently.
Alia turned around, the innocent expression on her face imdiately fading before she walked to her table.
"I am sorry for the commotion. Please eat," She sat calmly before continuing her food.
The triplet brothers looked at her, awe-struck.
First, how she survived for so long against those assassinators, and now this...
Was she just a lantern healer? The sa girl who used to get bullied thoroughly and used for her inventions? Why was it so hard to believe?
On the other hand, Luna Jennifer didn’t know much about Alia and had mixed thoughts. She had heard Hannah talking to soone over the call about how they were planning sothing against soone.
And now it was clear that Alia was the one they were talking about.
However, the girl just now said she loved her sister too much. How was she supposed to warn her?
"That was so dope shit," Aaron said, impressed by her.
Alia glanced at him from the corner of her eyes before scoffing.
Aaron paused before sighing and continuing to eat. He didn’t even know what kind of sin he committed that she hated him so much. And what he didn’t know more was why he was so bothered by it.
At the sa ti, King Cyrus, who had been busy with the etings one after the other regarding the misbehaving rogues acting out on the borders, took a deep breath as he walked inside his cabin in the center of the city and walked on his chair.
Fabian and Trevor walked inside the cabin with the files that their King demanded and wanted to review, and they placed them on the table.
"Any news?" Cyrus asked after a long pause.
"What news, sir?" Fabian looked at his King, confused.
"Any news about any incident or anything?" Cyrus asked again.
Fabian, who still didn’t understand, was about to ask for clarification when Trevor stomped on his foot lightly.
"Since you were buddy with the back-to-back etings, we didn’t ask the spy to report. Should we do it now?" Trevor asked.
Cyrus looked at the ti and nodded.
Fabian finally got the hold of the matter and quickly called the spy sent to look at their princess and see if she was eting her family or if they could catch any new planning regarding healers.
The spy had a code na called Sparrow.
"Sparrow reporting, sir," The man said.
"Any news? Any commotion that you noticed?" Fabian asked, glancing at his king sitting with his eyes closed.
"The investigation of the matter is going smoothly, and Dominic or his n hasn’t done anything suspicious at the mont," Sparrow said.
Fabian looked at his king and saw the dark expression on his face. Fabian cleared his throat.
"Were you sent to watch Dominic or Princess?" He asked.
Sparrow muttered a quick apology and described everything he observed. Starting from how Thas slapped Alia publicly and asked for the data to how Alia nearly smashed a girl’s face in the dustbin, he specified everything except the staircase scene that he couldn’t see himself.
After listening to his words, Cyrus sighed and signaled for Fabian to end the call. The subordinate quickly followed the orders before biting his lips nervously.
"Well, we didn’t expect the girl to be so violent. And why the hell is her family so against her? Shouldn’t they be using her instead?" the subordinate asked, but Cyrus remained silent this ti.
He didn’t speak for a long ti before a smirk appeared.
"Let’s give your princess a test and see where her loyalty lies for the mont," Cyrus said, his gaze sharp and full of evil mischief. His thoughts spiraled around how Thas dared to slap Alia even after knowing she was currently his wife.
He had stopped and warned him last ti, but he dared to strike her even after that.
He wants the test data and the vault to open so he can gift them to his precious daughter, right? He will get that data for sure. Cyrus smiled cunningly.
