Alia lay in her bed, feeling restless, as if sothing was weighing heavily on her heart.

It didn’t help that the mark was burning repetitively.

It had cald when Sylas hugged her and stayed neutral until she was close to Cyrus, but from the mont she returned to the Grand Palace, sothing was wrong with her body.

It has been heating up, and it wasn’t her arousal heat. It was different, as if her body was urging her to do sothing. But what and how was she supposed to know?

The woman she had t last ti had asked her to let it flow, to allow it to roam freely in her body, as the energy inside her was different and needed control and power.

Alia understood that much, but what was she supposed to do to give that power to this mark? Was that even a thing?

She closed her eyes, wanting to sleep.

Darkness slowly crept into her vision, slowly taking her to her subconscious state.

As Alia started to drift into nothingness, she saw a woman standing before her. It was dark all around, but the area around that woman glowed like a lamp.

This aura was surely her Mana, lighting her up even in the darkness.

"Who are you?" Alia asked cautiously.

So many weird dreams, she knew better to confront the person than wait around for them to speak to her.

The sooner they say their peace, the sooner it’s over.

"Who am I? Isn’t that for you to figure out?" The girl asked.

Alia paused.

Was it just her, or did this woman before her sound a bit too familiar?

"You..." Alia wasn’t sure if it was right to say it.

"Yes, ," The woman said.

She didn’t turn to face her. Her long brown hair moved in small waves even when she couldn’t feel any wind around them.

She was floating in the air.

"Don’t you want to avenge your husband’s wounds? Don’t you think Patrick played an evil trick there? What if Sylas hadn’t arrived? What would’ve happened to your husband? Would anyone stand by his side?" The woman said.

Alia pursed her lips.

She knew what Patrick had done was wrong, but the man had already been hurt so badly. Sylas taught him a good lesson. What more could be done?

"But what can I do?" Alia asked, a little surprised.

The woman shrugged.

"That’s for you to decide. What can you do for your husband? Recognise yourself, the bond you have with your soul before it’s too late," She asked.

"I think I will pass this ti. If he did anything again, I’ll surely retaliate," Alia dismissed the matter.

The woman before her was just an illusion. She didn’t want to do anything that would put them in jeopardy with the family.

"If that’s what you want," the woman said, and then she disappeared slowly, vanishing like a smog in the air.

Alia was about to drift back to sleep when her phone rang on the table. She groaned in displeasure, ready to curse out whoever was calling her at this ti.

She was already having trouble sleeping without her husband by her side, and now people won’t let her rest.

However, thinking it might be her people who wanted to report sothing or Cyrus who was missing her, she stopped herself.

With a sigh, she threw the duvet aside and walked to the table.

Her brows furrowed when she saw the na of one person she had even forgotten about lately.

"Hello?"

"We need your help, Alia, " The man said.

Alia scrunched her brows.

"Be precise. Do you need my help or a healer’s help? If you are looking for free labor again, I am not interested. If you genuinely need a healer’s help, please contact my father. He might be able to send a ’talented’ and ’experienced’ person," Alia said.

Alpha Killian thinned his lips at her words.

He felt like a deja vu hitting him. The only difference was that he had said those words earlier.

It was when his mother got sick that Alia rushed to help him. He had said he didn’t need help from an unqualified fake healer, that he didn’t want to risk his mother’s life in her hands.

At that ti, Alia had insisted on helping and even said that she was ready to take charge of her life.

Only after seeing the genuineness in her eyes had Alpha Killian allowed her to be near his mother.

"You can call Hannah," Alia said before ending the call.

Alpha Killian looked at the end call.

He still believed that Alia was treating him that way because she was hurt and throwing a tantrum.

There was no way her love for him vanished overnight.

"Alpha," Alpha Killian’s beta, Joseph, looked at him with pleading eyes.

The man swallowed his pride when he looked at his beta’s red eyes.

"I’ll call again," He seethed.

Alia placed the phone back on the table and was about to turn to the bed when it rang again.

She picked up the call with narrowed brows.

"Didn’t you hear –"

"It’s about soone’s life. Don’t tell you have changed your morals just because you are angry with ," Alpha Killian said.

Alia pursed her lips.

He used the one tactic that always worked. She had taken an oath to cure and heal anyone in need, and always put people first, even in life-and-death situations. That oath was taken by every healer who worked in the laboratory.

Usually, that oath is only asked to be taken when a person turns eighteen, but since she started working in the laboratory quite early, she had taken it way before.

"I’ll be there," Alia ended the call before taking a deep breath.

Her fingers hovered over the contact list. She wondered if she should call Cyrus about it.

She looked at the ti and seeing it was past midnight and the man was probably asleep, she didn’t call him.

Rather, she called Fabian.

The man who was sleeping outside the King’s room jerked in his place and sat straight when he heard his phone vibrating.

"What is it, Princess?" He asked urgently.

"There’s an ergency in the Sin Banned Pack, and I need to go. I don’t want to disturb your King for sothing so trivial. He is healing, and he needs this rest. I’ll ask Uncle Harrison to take there. I just wanted you to know, just in case he asks for ," She said.

Fabian had a mixed reaction to her words.

He didn’t want to let her go, but he knew that if their King had been awake, he would have allowed her.

For so reason, this man has more trust in their princess than in anyone else. And while it was surprising, given his hatred for healers, they were pretty happy with it.

"It’s okay. I’ll handle it here. Just be careful of..." Fabian let the sentence hang.

Alia understood who he was talking about. After all, the man had tried to act wild before and even raised his hand at her.

"Don’t worry. Your king has been training in secret. I know how to defend myself," Alia said before ending the call.

She changed into so presentable clothes before asking Miss Quinn to arrange for Uncle Harrison to take her to the pack.

Inside the pack, Alpha Killian paced in the hall of his guest house, waiting for the news that the girl was here.

What the hell is taking her so long? He wondered.

His beta was losing his mind worrying over his sister, who looked like she was in great pain.

"Alpha, she is at the borders," His subordinate rushed to inform him.

"At the borders? What is she doing there? Quickly bring her in," Alpha Killian said, and asked the doctor in the pack to arrange for the necessary things.

Alia’s gaze was neutral when she reached the guest house.

She barely looked at Alpha Killian, gazing directly at Joseph.

She had enough ti to think about things inside the car on the way here, and according to the tiline, it wasn’t hard for her to rember what had happened last ti.

If her mory was correct, it should be about Joseph’s sister, who was heavily pregnant.

She had fallen from the edge of a ditch when she was travelling and was heavily wounded.

In her previous life, Alpha Killian had sought her advice, and she had offered to help her gain so good points, as she was a rogue and needed the Pack’s support to marry Alpha Killian.

At that ti, she had done everything perfectly, arranging for quick healing without affecting the baby. However, when she was preparing the herbs to rub on the girl’s belly, she had her eat them.

But Hannah had made soone add another herb that was deadly to pregnancy.

Because of that, the girl’s child had died in her womb before her birth, and seeing her child’s dead body, Joseph’s sister had gone haywire, her wolf losing it and going rogue.

Even though it wasn’t her fault, it was traumatic for her. After all, if not for the animosity with her, Hannah wouldn’t have killed that baby.

Alia took a deep breath.

"I’ll handle it," she said to Joseph, who looked at her with hope.

"However, I have so conditions," Alia said with a smile.
