Cyrus didn’t say anything for so ti, and then he gazed at Lilithia with a murderous look. Though his anger wasn’t directed at her, the girl still felt shaken to the core and hid behind Patrick.

"Cyrus, she didn’t know anything about Princess Alia," Patrick defended his sister, feeling remorseful.

This was the second ti the girl was suffering because of his family.

"Look for her," Cyrus said to Fabian in a calm voice.

Though he wasn’t exploding like everyone expected him to be, it didn’t an they could let down their guard either.

Cyrus walked out of the Grand Palace, followed by Fabian and Trevor, who thinned their lips, equally worried about their princess.

Patrick smiled at Miss Quinn.

"Everything is going to be alright," Patrick said to the lady before caressing Lilithia’s hand.

He told her to rest in the guest room of the Grand Palace before he walked out towards the garden.

Patrick looked around, and when he noticed no one was following him, he couldn’t help but call his mother.

"Hello?" Elysia said from the other side.

The man took a deep breath.

"Where is Dad?" He asked, getting straight to the point.

Elysia narrowed her brows.

"Why are you looking for him at this ti? What about Lilithia? How is she? Why is it taking you guys so long to co here? She needs my care to heal faster. Bring her—" Elysia started, but Patrick cut her off mid-sentence.

He was in no mood to entertain any crap from anyone, even if it was his mother. His mother was only worried about her daughter, but what about the girl who risked her life to save her daughter?

"That’s not the answer to my question. Where is dad, mom? I want to know if his rogues took the action already, and if so, then where the hell did they take Alia," Patrick seethed through his teeth.

Patrick usually hated their ways of working against Cyrus and royalty to gain power, but he never openly expressed his discomfort with it.

However, hearing her son talk like this, Elysia knew sothing was wrong. Maybe Dominic was right. She indeed needed to get him under control, or all the plans they made and all the tricks they played would go down the drain if he weren’t ready for the risks of the throne.

"Son, you need to calm down. Whatever your dad is doing, he is doing it for us only—" Elysia started again.

Patrick nearly punched a tree in anger.

"What my dad is doing, asking the rogues to kidnap and torture the sa girl who saved my sister’s life and risked hers," Patrick said.

His words made Elysia pause. She blinked twice, unable to understand what her son was saying.

Alia saved Lilithia’s life? But how? The attack on Lilithia took place in Dark Hue forests, right?

The forests were on the opposite side of the University. What was the girl even doing there?

"Did she know Lilithia was coming, and that’s why to gain–" Elysia started.

Seeing where his mother’s trail of thoughts was going, Patrick ended the call. This wasn’t going to help.

Wait. Blue told him that Dominic was eting the rogue head at the University.

It ant the rogue team that might’ve attacked Lilithia was possibly Kyle’s team, too.

The only problem was that not many people knew what Kyle looked like. The man always goes around removing his traces and wearing a mask.

But this information was worth it, and he quickly ssaged Cyrus.

Cyrus, sitting inside the car, looked at the ssage, and his fists clenched around the phone.

Kyle had Alia?

He asked Fabian to follow the path he was telling, and Fabian furrowed his brow.

They were nearing the highway that would lead out of the city.

Where exactly were they going?

"I asked the spy’s cyber team to track Alia’s number. She is not in the city. We are lucky that her phone is still on and the kidnappers didn’t destroy it. She must’ve hidden it sowhere safe," Cyrus said.

At the sa ti, Alia sat before the demon lord, her gaze dark and unpredictable.

She was barely keeping her emotions in check, doing everything to stay neutral.

What she did just now was pretty much worthy of worry, and thus, she had placed her hand under the table.

So far, Alia has already won two rounds, and she needs to win one more round to get out of this place with the atrocious amount that would be helpful for her team and army building against the people who hurt her.

"Shuffle," Achilles said.

Alia hesitated. Even though the man lost twice, the calm smile on his face was strangely confident. Too confident.

It almost looked like the man had already won sothing, and she didn’t know what to feel about it.

She was confident about keeping her face void of emotions and bet without any worry until her mark reacted like that, almost exposing her in the process.

"Fine," Alia said.

She took a deep breath and nodded at Clentine, who gave the deck to her.

She shuffled the cards and then placed five cards before the demon lord and five cards before herself.

"Count the value," Alia said to Clentine.

The host gulped.

Though it was the contestant’s job to do it, he couldn’t ask the demon lord to do it. And for so reason, he couldn’t feel like he should tell Alia to do it either.

The girl was too weird and unpredictable in his eyes. With hands soaked in blood and calming eyes, she looked even more dangerous despite her rank and species.

Clentine raised the Lord’s cards first.

9, 3, 6, K, 2

A total of 30.

Everyone looked at the table carefully. While the stakes weren’t sothing interesting, the fact that the demon lord was ready to lose 500 million for a dinner was worth watching.

Alia’s cards were following.

8, 7, 6, 9, J

A total of 40.

"Miss Everleigh wins," Clentine announced.

Three consecutive wins against the lord were sothing that made everyone question her skills.

Was she really that good?

Alia smiled at the demon lord before she pulled out her phone and saw so many missed calls from everyone, and her body froze.

She had put the phone on silent while playing so no one would look at her weirdly. But who would’ve thought her phone would blow up like this?

Then again, wasn’t she supposed to be kidnapped according to their plan? She shrugged and removed the notification before showing the screen to the demon lord.

"You can credit the money in this account," She smiled cheekily.

The demon lord looked at the girl and chuckled before nodding.

He looked behind him, and his subordinate rushed forward, taking a photo of the details.

"It was a good ga," Alia said.

"A good ga indeed," Achilles extended his left hand to shake Alia’s hand.

Since he used his left hand, she should’ve used her left hand too.

However, since the mark was on her left hand, Alia smiled bitterly and used her right hand instead.

She shook his hand awkwardly before descending the stairs.

Kyle breathed a sigh of relief when she got near him.

"I am famished," Alia blinked innocently, and Kyle swallowed his anger before holding her hand and pulling her out of the Highlights Gamblers.

As soon as they walked out, she saw the money credited in her account and smiled.

"Give your account information. I’ll give you 50," She said.

Kyle glared at her.

"What? You helped co here, you deserve it," Alia said.

"Your husband has already started searching for you. We need to hurry up. Switch off your phone first," Kyle said.

Alia pouted because the man ignored her words, but did as he told her.

anwhile, Cyrus, who found her location near the Highlights Gamblers, felt his heart racing.

Were the rogues really taking his wife to that filthy place? What if they bet her in the ga and lose her?

The idea shook him, and he was about to call Alia again when the signal was lost.

He looked at the phone helplessly and called the cyber cell imdiately.

"Sir, it looks like Princess’s phone has been turned off," The technician said, making Cyrus growl in anger.
