Alia looked at the hundreds of emails with orders asking whether she would supply the product or why the line had been stopped.

So people were overbearingly angry, and she knew that this ti around, she was going to make revolutionary history with her work. Because this ti, she wasn’t smitten by any man to sideline her dreams for them.

Besides, her research on making things against Dominic and Hannah was ongoing.

Alia placed a few things in the place she would like before placing an unusual request to Marcos.

"Prostitutes," Alia said.

Marcos raised his eyes in surprise.

"What did you say?" He asked in surprise.

"I want those holess people who don’t have a ho anywhere to work for . And I want a different team, contact an orphanage for that, or the children who have been abandoned. I will turn them into poisonous vipers," Alia said.

Marcos’ heart skipped at how her eyes shone when she said those words.

Alia looked at the man and noticed the hesitation in his eyes.

"Don’t worry. It will be safe. No girl would be hard in this process," she said.

Marcos breathed a sigh of relief and nodded.

He trusted her.

"I want to start recruiting rogues too," Marcos said.

This was the first ti he gave his input on sothing.

"You do realise we don’t have the capital, right?" Alia joked as she clicked on the most recent email.

"I trust you, Madam," Marcos said.

Alia’s finger froze on the keypad, her heart drumming against her chest at the word he used.

He turned to look at him, and he nodded.

She smiled. It was the sa way he had once ntioned that he used to call her mom. And at that ti, he said, he was ready to die at her mother’s order because he had blind faith in her.

"I won’t let you down then," Alia said.

~~~~~
"Where were you?" That was the first thing Cyrus asked when Alia entered the royal palace.
The girl looked at him with an innocent smile.
"I went to the market," she said, walking straight to him before taking a small box from her backpack.
She extended her hand towards Cyrus, and the guy raised his brows.
He took the small box from her hand and opened the lid.
It was a keychain.
A beautiful one.
It didn’t have pearls or gems like anyone would’ve expected her to buy as a girl. It was a simple, elegant keychain with a hunting Eagle with its paws holding a snake. The sleek design was sothing for sure.
"It shows resilience and strength. I wish you good luck with the King trials. I don’t know if there is anything that I can help with because I am weak and not up to par. But I hope you win," Alia smiled.
Cyrus kept looking at the keychain, and all his anger towards her from earlier dissipated into nothingness.
He just stood in his place and walked straight to the stairs.
Alia wondered if the man didn’t like it. After all, it didn’t cost her too much and was cheap compared to royalty.
She thinned her lips and smiled awkwardly at Miss Quinn to hide her disappointnt.
"I’ll freshen up quickly for dinner," she said as she ascended the stairs to her room.
Once inside the room, she pouted and took a quick shower.
This reminded her that she needed to tell Cyrus she would spend so ti outside after university.
Telling him the direct reason would make him mad, and he would ask her why she couldn’t train inside the palace, and that was the last thing she wanted to happen.
Thus, she decided it was better to keep it masked under the veil of her experints with Professor Kinsley.
Once dressed in a fresh pair of casual clothes, Alia walked to the dining room and saw the man sitting there.
He didn’t say anything to her for so ti.
Alia pursed her lips, unsure how to resolve the matter, when the man finally spoke up.
"What do you know about your mother, Alia?" He asked.
It was way out of context and too abrupt.
She was imdiately reminded of the note she received from that mysterious old man about his mother.
"Not much. I wasn’t allowed to ask about or discuss her. Her driver, now my driver, Mr. Marcos, told my mom was a good woman and one of the best healers out there, probably why I inherited her capabilities," Alia said.
Cyrus nodded.
The girl was oblivious to the truth for sure.
He rembered seeing the information that Samuel had presented to him.
After that encounter and Alia’s sparring session with that royal guard, he asked his people to look into her mother, and the information was finally available.
And it was nothing like what he had anticipated. Many things were unclear at the mont, but one thing was clear: Alia had been deceived her entire life.
He wanted to ask her about her father, but then rembered how the man treats her and gave up on the idea.
From what he found, Hannah was Thas’s real daughter, but she didn’t have the sa mother as Alia.
Surprisingly, Hannah’s mother was that nanny Jessica. And seeing how Hannah was older than Alia by a year, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Thas probably used Alia’s mother for another reason.
And if all these things were true, did Alia’s mother die naturally while giving birth? Or was it sothing else?
He asked his people to look further into it and investigate Jessica today. He also asked them to look into Thas and whether Alia had sothing under her na that she didn’t have any idea of.
Or why would Jessica still tolerate Alia until they wanted sothing from her?
"Why do you ask?" Alia asked.
Cyrus shook his head.
"Your father is such a wretched man, yet you turned out nothing like your father, so I wondered if you took your mother’s traits," he said.
Alia chuckled softly at his words before eating her food.
No one spoke for so ti, both engrossed in their thoughts about each other.
