When Lu Yichen heard about the made clothes, he turned his head and asked, “Made clothes?”
Stone nodded, “Sister bought the fabric from the departnt store, cut it herself, and sister-in-law helped sew it with the sewing machine. The style is really nice, much better looking than what the departnt stores sell.” He said, a bit smugly.
Early the next day, after Luo Qiao completed her ditation in the small woods behind, she wandered around the market for a bit, bought a few sesa balls, then headed back, taking a mont in a secluded place to take out a large chunk of beef and lamb from her space.
By the ti she returned, breakfast was already prepared.
Zhou Guifang saw Luo Qiao co in, “Hurry and get ready to eat. Today you are heading back to school for classes. You’re not in a hurry and don’t even fear being late.”
She turned around and then turned back after seeing what Luo Qiao was holding, “Why did you buy so much at again?”
Luo Qiao smiled as she entered the kitchen, “I just happened to co across a stall at the market selling it, and it looked very fresh, so I bought so.”
Zhou Guifang chided, “Your grandma knows you have money, but you still need to learn to be frugal and manage a household. You don’t need to always worry about and your grandpa, we have our pensions and have money, we won’t neglect ourselves.”
Luo Qiao listened to her grandma’s nagging with a smile, not finding it botherso at all, but rather feeling warm inside.
After breakfast, everyone packed up and was ready to leave. Just as they stepped out of the alley, they saw Lu Yichen driving up. He honked the horn twice and pulled over, “Get in, I’ll give you a ride on my way.”
Luo Xuyan initially didn’t want to take the ride since it was really out of the way, but thinking about his wife Woo Yuni who was pregnant and checking the ti, which was still okay, he helped her into the car.
After dropping off everyone along the way and leaving Luo Xuyuan at the gate of Peking University, the car was left with only Lu Yichen and Luo Qiao. Luo Qiao took out a lunchbox from her backpack, which contained stead buns with beef filling she had made in her space kitchen the night before.
Looking at Lu Yichen who was focused on driving, “These are beef buns, you can have them for breakfast.”
A smile ford on Lu Yichen’s lips, “How did you know I hadn’t had breakfast this morning?”
Luo Qiao rolled her eyes at him, “You wouldn’t have asked Auntie Tang to make breakfast so early, unless you had breakfast outside.”
Lu Yichen couldn’t help but laugh, “Thanks for the caring breakfast, Qiaoqiao.”
Luo Qiao looked at the school gate not far away, “Stop here, I’ll walk over.”
Knowing what Luo Qiao was thinking, Lu Yichen did not object and pulled over to the side of the road, “The house should be finished with the renovations by this week. I’ll co over on Wednesday to pick you up, so we can check if anything is not right and avoid having to redo work.”
