Looking at the Chinese restaurant that seed to be doing quite well, and listening to Xia Shani greeting custors in her awkward English from a distance, Luo Qiao couldn’t help but smile. It seed like she was adapting well enough.
Taking advantage of Xia Shani’s ti in the kitchen, Luo Qiao went over to settle the bill.
After getting her change, Xia Shani just happened to see her: "Sister, you’re here."
"You’re running this restaurant quite well, and you’re communicating with the custors now. That’s quite an improvent."
"Sister, stop praising . I’m not there yet. It’s mainly because I’ve been listening a lot, so it seems like I’ve caught on a bit. The communication is okay, it’s just that what I say sounds awful."
"This is already impressive. Seeing you adapt to life here makes relieved."
"Wei Jun and I have discussed it and we’re not considering going back to the country for the ti being. First, we feel like we’re adapting here; second, I don’t want to face the people and things at ho. I’m afraid I won’t be able to hold back from tearing into them.
Recently, Wei Jun called ho to invite his parents to co and stay for a while. Our family hasn’t responded yet, but we send them money for care every month."
Luo Qiao knew that so wounds don’t heal quickly. She patted Xia Shani’s shoulder: "Life is short, just do what makes you happy. Don’t wrong yourself."
Xia Shani was actually afraid that others wouldn’t understand her. Hearing what Luo Qiao said made her feel grateful: "Thank you, Sister."
Luo Qiao smiled and said, "No need to thank . Every family has its own difficulties. I understand."
After chatting for a while, Luo Qiao finally said, "It’s getting busy now, you get to work. I won’t bother you. I need to go back and pack up for my return to the country tomorrow."
Reluctantly, Xia Shani saw her off: "Sister, goodbye."
Luo Qiao waved her hand and smiled: "Go back and get busy."
The next day, Wei Jun and Xia Shani arrived early with Wei Tianyou, both to bring breakfast for Luo Qiao and to see her off.
Seeing Wei Tianyou, Luo Qiao handed him a red envelope: "Take it. I didn’t bring you a gift, so pick sothing you like. I knew you’d be coming today, so I prepared this specially. No refusing."
Wei Tianyou rembered Luo Qiao and smiled as he asked, "Auntie, how are little sister and little brothers doing?"
Luo Qiao patted Wei Tianyou’s head: "They’re doing well. You can give them a call when you have the ti."
Wei Tianyou nodded with a smile: "Okay, tell them I still rember them."
Luo Qiao looked at the now much more lively child: "Great, I’ll tell them that, and I’ll also give them your ho phone number, so they can call you and practice their English."
Hearing this, Wei Tianyou was even happier: "Okay."
The two suitcases were just for show; most of the items were stored away in her space.
After breakfast, as Luo Qiao prepared to leave, Emma and Steven arrived at her door: "Oh my, Luo, glad we made it."
Then they took a suitcase out of the car trunk: "This is a gift for the kids. We can’t decide when we’ll be able to visit, so take it to them."
Luo Qiao felt a bit embarrassed: "You went to such trouble."
Emma laughed and put her arm around Luo Qiao’s shoulder: "We’re good friends. Saying that is too formal."
Luo Qiao had to reply, "Alright then, I’ll thank you on their behalf."
Emma and Steven, along with Qiao Hua and Wei Jun, accompanied Luo Qiao to the airport, helped her with the boarding pass, checked in her luggage, and watched her clear security before waving farewell and leaving.
Before boarding, Luo Qiao called Lu Yichen: "Brother Chen, I’m at the airport."
"Alright, I’ll pick you up at the airport tomorrow."
"Have you been waiting for my call all this ti?"
"What do you think?"
Luo Qiao laughed: "Of course, since I’m your little demoness."
Lu Yichen smiled constantly: "I’m waiting for you to land safely, so I can deal with you when you get back."
Luo Qiao looked at the airplane on the tarmac outside: "Alright, at your rcy."
Both of them laughed knowingly.
After hanging up, she found a place to sit and took out a book to read.
It wasn’t until the announcent ca that she put the book away, stood up, and prepared to board the plane.
