Xia Shani didn’t stay here long; she couldn’t leave her Chinese restaurant unattended.
So she sat for a while, watched Luo Qiao finish eating, then packed up and left, reminding Luo Qiao to visit the restaurant when she had ti.
Her restaurant wasn’t too far from here, and Luo Qiao smiled as she saw her off at the door, "If I co ho early tonight, I’ll definitely stop by."
After Xia Shani left, Luo Qiao tidied up a bit and headed out.
Just as she stepped out, she received a call from Emma: "Luo, we can’t fly with you anymore. Steven has so last-minute work, and we have to postpone our honeymoon trip."
Luo Qiao comforted her, "That’s unfortunate, but it’s okay. Once he’s finished with work, you can enjoy your trip more. It would be worse if you just arrived in China and had to head back."
Emma thought for a bit, "You’re right, but not being able to travel with you makes really sad."
Luo Qiao laughed, "I’ll et you at the airport when you arrive."
Emma felt much better after hearing Luo Qiao’s reassurance, "Alright then, I’m definitely going to China. I want to see where you live, try all the delicious food you ntioned, and see the beautiful sights you talked about.
And most importantly, I want to et Yanyan, Yueyue, and the triplets."
Since Emma and Steven still had things to take care of today, they couldn’t accompany her shopping. They wanted to send a car, but Luo Qiao declined.
She walked out alone and saw the car sent by "Yipin."
After just a few steps, she got a phone call from Qiao Hua, "The car has been sent over; you should see it when you step out."
Luo Qiao thought Qiao Hua was really attentive, "I saw it already, thank you."
Qiao Hua teased, "Hey, don’t scare . You’re the boss of ’Yipin’, so it’s only right to serve you."
Luo Qiao chuckled, "What ti did you get ho last night?"
Qiao Hua grumbled, "Don’t ntion it. I almost got into trouble, if Wei Jun hadn’t arrived in ti, I would’ve been dragged off to be a captive groom."
Luo Qiao was intrigued, "Tell what happened."
It was then that Qiao Hua recounted the events from the night before.
After sending Luo Qiao off, he and Wei Jun returned to the party, thinking it was a rare relaxing ti, they drank quite a bit with the employees, and might have drunk too much without eating, his stomach felt uncomfortable, so he went to the restroom.
As a result, he got into trouble; a woman erged from the restroom, her makeup running from crying, and curious, he glanced at her. To his surprise, the woman clung to him, refusing to let go, and kept asking why he was doing this to her.
He was completely baffled.
But the woman wouldn’t let go, causing quite a commotion, and many people gathered around as she shouted, refusing to relent. Thankfully, Wei Jun showed up, explaining who Qiao Hua was.
Just then, the girl’s family arrived, quickly apologized, and managed to coax her into letting go of his sleeve through persuasion and appeasent.
Luo Qiao laughed out loud, "You’re an older bachelor. Why not go with the flow? It would fulfill Grandma Qiao’s wishes perfectly."
"Oh, co on! You’re just cheering at my misfortune, aren’t you?"
Luo Qiao quickly changed the subject, "I’m going shopping today to pick gifts for the kids. Enjoy reminiscing alone; I’ll hang up now."
She hung up the phone, giggling at the scene described by Qiao Hua.
Upon arriving at her destination, most of the gifts she chose for the children were educational and sports supplies, while for the family, she picked out clothes and perfus, aware she had to be at Yusuf’s place by noon, she hastened her pace.
After shopping, she had the driver take her for a haircut, then she changed into the dress she had bought while shopping with Emma a few days ago, adding a long coat over it, and headed to Yusuf’s house.
As she approached, she received a call from Yusuf, "Hello, Luo, where are you? Should I send a car to pick you up?"
"No need, I’m almost there."
"Alright, see you soon then."
As the car stopped, she saw Yusuf at the entrance, who walked straight towards her as she got out of the car, "Luo, welco to the banquet."
"Thank you for the invitation."
Along the way, many guests assessed Luo Qiao. Yusuf introduced her to his family and also to so officials and business moguls.
Unexpectedly, not only were Emma and Steven’s family there, but also Emily’s parents, resulting in a crowd gathering around Luo Qiao.
Luo Qiao spoke fluent English, making conversing with everyone smooth. Regardless of what was said, when asked about her, she could reply appropriately and added humorous and witty remarks, winning everyone’s favor.
By the end of the banquet, thanks to Yusuf’s arrangents, she t nurous people and even made so good friends.
A true reward.
Upon leaving, she gifted a hand embroidery to Yusuf’s mother to thank them for their warm hospitality.
She didn’t head straight ho from Yusuf’s, instead she went to buy a large variety of chocolates and candies, as well as nurous cakes and desserts, placing a big order for them to be delivered to her ho.
Finally, she bought so health supplents and instructed the driver to take her ho.
Arriving ho, the delivery folks had also arrived, and she had them move everything indoors. Once they left, she kept a few outside for display and stored the rest away.
Checking the ti, she went upstairs for a shower, changed clothes, packed everything needed to bring ho, and headed out to Xia Shani’s Chinese restaurant.
By then, it was nearing alti, and quite a few custors were already inside.
She entered the restaurant without alerting Xia Shani, found a corner, ordered two dishes and a serving of rice, and started eating quietly.
