Chapter 736: Chapter 735 Gu Chengya

Soon, Lin Chun and the others arrived.

Lin Xia and Lin Dong had specifically taken a car that could fit all of them to pick up the party from the train station.

It had been a while since Lin Chun and Lin Qiu had seen Lin Xia, and when they did, they exchanged looks of disbelief.

When had the slender Lin Xia beco so plump?

Not only had her face rounded out, but what was imdiately noticeable was her overly swollen belly.

“Xiaoxia! You’re in this state and still hustled over to pick us up? Dongzi coming alone would have been enough!” Lin Chun was genuinely worried about his older sister having so kind of mishap by accident—it wasn’t just about her, there were two lovely children in her stomach as well.

“It’s okay! Big brother! We left early, and the car was driven very slowly! I wanted to see you guys sooner!”

Lin Xia’s intentions were clear as daylight; she wasn’t in such a hurry to see Lin Chun and Lin Qiu.

What she was really eager about was to see the true face of Lin Chun’s girlfriend, and her coming in person to pick them up also signified her respect for them.

Lin Chun understood. He knew his older sister was thorough in her duties, so he didn’t say anything further.

He hurriedly made introductions, “This is my girlfriend, Gu Chengya! Xiaoya, this is my older sister Lin Xia and my younger brother Lin Dong!”

Lin Xia and Lin Dong already knew that this Gu Chengya was introduced by Lin Qiu’s future mother-in-law, a teacher from her school, known thoroughly.

After the arranged date between Lin Chun and Gu Chengya, both felt a positive rapport and thus began dating.

Upon first encounter, Lin Xia and Lin Dong’s gazes scanned Lin Chun’s girlfriend like lasers.

Gu Chengya was petite, with beautiful and elegant features, and she had a small black mole on her chin, which was quite morable at first glance.

Both had a high opinion of her and greeted her enthusiastically, “Hello, Sister Gu!”

Gu Chengya responded with a smile, “Hello!” Her voice was sweet and crisp, which made it really comfortable to listen to.

On the way back, Lin Qiu directly linked arms with Lin Xia and whispered affectionately, “Sister! I’ve missed you so much!”

Seeing Lin Xia was like finding her anchor, and she felt instantly more grounded.

Lin Xia stroked her sister’s smooth little hand, “I’ve missed you too!”

Although Lin Xia was talking with Lin Qiu, she occasionally spoke to Gu Chengya as well, so as not to neglect her.

What concerned Lin Chun and Lin Qiu the most was Lin Xia’s situation, and after that, they inquired about Lin Dong’s studies.

Gu Chengya listened and observed from the side; while Lin Xia and Lin Dong were observing her, she was also observing Lin Xia and Lin Dong.

She was familiar with Lin Qiu, a kind person with a good temperant, and with such a sister-in-law, she had no worries about possible unhappy incidents occurring.

She had heard so things about Lin Xia and Lin Dong from Lin Qiu, and thought Lin Xia, being able to do business and marry well, must be quite calculating.

However, upon eting her, she could tell from the clarity in Lin Xia’s eyes that she wasn’t the type to sche.

Lin Xia was simple and easygoing, and she treated Gu Chengya sincerely, which greatly lessened her nervousness.

Now, seeing the brotherly and sisterly bond so harmonious and affectionate made her envious.

After they arrived at Shao Chengzhi’s house, there was another round of introductions and pleasantries.

They had already eaten in the dining car, so Shao irou suggested they go to the rooms to see if they wanted, and perhaps rest if tired.

Gu Chengya knew they would probably want to talk about sothing, so after everything was settled, she proposed that she would like to lie down for a while.

The siblings all gathered in Lin Xia’s room for a chat.

Lin Chun got straight to the point, “Xiaoxia! Dongzi! What do you think of her?”

Lin Chun’s bringing his girlfriend over to visit his eldest sister Lin Xia was one reason, but more importantly, it was to have his younger brothers and sisters et her, to help him vet her.

Although finding a partner was his own business, as the eldest brother, his wife had to be approved by his younger siblings.

If his younger brothers and sisters were not satisfied or did not like Gu Chengya, even if it would make him feel a bit upset, he would yield to their wishes.

Since they had struggled through hardship together from a young age and had all co to accomplish sothing, it hadn’t been easy.

He didn’t want, once they all started their own families, for an incompatible sister-in-law to drive a wedge between them.

That was the last thing he wanted to see!

Seeing her big brother’s earnest and anxious expression, Lin Xia couldn’t help but smile gently, “I think she’s quite good! She’s beautiful and has a nice personality! Being a teacher with sumr and winter vacations, how great is that!”

She knew what kind of person her eldest brother was; soone too shrewd and capable might not be able to get along with him.

A girl like Gu Chengya was just right for him.

Besides, his expression alone was enough to show that he was quite fond of this girl and also very concerned about their opinion of her.

She was genuinely relieved.

When her big brother initially fell for Jiang Mingqing, even after being rejected, his reluctance to find soone else even after moving to their grandfather’s place was telling.

The reason wasn’t hard to guess, it was because Lin Chun couldn’t let go.

It wasn’t until a few days after the New Year that Lin Xia had cautiously advised him, thinking that after so ti for reflection, her big brother should be able to let go slowly.

In matters of the heart, so people will never get what they wait for, and there’s no need to wait foolishly, wasting the pri of one’s life.

Besides, even if there cos a day when Jiang Mingqing, under pressure from her godmother, settles for a marriage of convenience, if that person were to be her brother, he wouldn’t find happiness.

A marriage without love is a grave, and a life of settling cannot endure.

Lin Chun breathed a sigh of relief. He imdiately turned to Lin Dong, “Dongzi! What do you think?”

“I feel the sa as my big sister! I think Sister Gu is quite nice. I’d be happy to have her as our sister-in-law!” Lin Dong said with a jovial tone, teasing, “Big brother! When do you plan to marry her? I have a suggestion, it’ll be best to schedule the wedding during the sumr or winter break.”

The fact that his big brother had liked Sister Xiaoqing was sothing he found out about later on.

In his eyes, Sister Xiaoqing had always been too proud! How could she take a fancy to his big brother?

He was delighted that his big brother had found a girlfriend so quickly; he had thought it would take his brother so ti to fully move on and be able to open his heart to soone new.

Lin Chun wasn’t in any rush to get married. He patted Lin Dong on the shoulder with a chuckle, “We haven’t been together very long, what’s the rush?”

Unable to help herself, Lin Xia laughed and joked with him, “Big brother! You can’t say that. You’re both of a suitable age and not getting any younger. If you find each other suitable, you should hurry up and get married!

Your niece or nephew will soon be born, and you’re not hurrying to get married and have kids!”

Lin Chun waved his hand, “What’s the rush! Anyway, I’m already behind you, let’s talk about it next year!”

Seeing him like this, Lin Xia didn’t push further, thinking that it was also good for the couple to talk more about love, to build their relationship.

Moreover, distance tests a horse’s strength, and ti reveals a person’s heart.

They now thought Gu Chengya and their big brother made a good match, but who knows if the two are truly compatible?
