Count Cordelia who was also in attendance was rather proud as a father would be to his son’s achievents.
All the ruling households had a lot of questions, so the Court Session lasted for half a day.
Since there were already solutions to the problem on the way, they did not panic and discussed calmly.
Hopefully, the citizens would react the sa way.
"Do you have to leave imdiately, or can we have lunch together?" Arabella asked Ferdinand after they left the throne room.
A lot of the officials and nobles were still there discussing the lockdown even after the Court Session was dismissed. Thus, Arabella and Ferdinand left first since they have other tasks to do.
"Let’s eat together. I’ll leave after," Ferdinand said, squeezing her hand.
[I know she doesn’t eat much when she’s alone, so I should eat with her as much as I can.]
"Alright," Arabella bead.
It was always nice to eat together.
They both had a lot to do, but having even just an hour for each other should be alright.
They had lunch together in the dining hall, and Ferdinand left for Sibruh shortly after to resolve so things.
Sibruh had been one of the most chaotic among the locked-down territories, so it needed extra attention.
It was also the first location Arabella would visit. Thus, Ferdinand was ensuring it would be safe and peaceful while she was there.
Once Ferdinand departed, Arabella went back to work.
With the situation in the locked-down territories finally revealed, Arabella and her assistants could finally begin speaking with the concerned departnts related to the projects they wished to implent.
Her assistants eagerly went to arrange etings and speak with the stakeholders involved in the projects assigned to them.
On the very sa day, Arabella also had etings with various departnts for the construction projects Ferdinand had suggested for the locked-down territories.
She had summoned them in advance by sending them letters the previous day, with a note to ensure they attend the Court Session today themselves.
They did so, they learned about the situation in the locked-down territories and figured she summoned them concerning it.
They ca prepared after doing so research about all the locked-down territories.
Thus, when Arabella presented the initial drafts for the construction projects, they already figured it was because of the lack of employnt resulting from the prohibition of farming until the plant disease was controlled.
Since the suggestions were from Ferdinand himself and the initial drafts for the proposal were made by Arabella, the Head of the Departnts cooperated well.
Arabella lied about receiving help from Ferdinand and Raymond in preparing the proposals so they would not be suspicious of her.
After all, even Raymond who had already seen her do quality work was still surprised at the quality of the proposals she made when she asked him to check it for any mistakes.
Once her etings were done, Arabella made all the necessary changes and additions after her discussion with the Departnt Heads.
She would have to add more changes, though, after seeing the actual situation for herself.
Arabella was just done with her work when her assistants arrived one after the other updating her about how their own etings and interviews went.
As for Alwin, he had also returned to his usual duties.
Alvis had already departed for Lobelius, and Raymond and Ferdinand were busy, so no one was there to prohibit him from working.
Alwin quickly finished all his piled-up work so he could head to the locked territories with Arabella.
Their departure was set for tomorrow or the day after, depending on how Arabella’s eting with the Departnt Heads went.
Since her etings were fruitful, the visit to Sibruh was set for tomorrow.
She had already told her assistants in advance that their departure would be any day this week, so they could depart at any ti.
However, with all the work they were doing, they might have forgotten about it, so she had to inform and remind them.
Arabella then announced it to her assistants.
"Alright, everyone. Well done on your tasks so far.
I hope all of you are ready for our visit.
We will be heading to the locked-down territories starting tomorrow.
As I said last ti, there’s no need to pack a lot of things since we will return here for the night.
We won’t sleep over."
It was safest for them to stay here for the night, and more efficient for their guards as well.
Likewise, they won’t have to burden the territories that were already chaotic due to the situation.
Ferdinand won’t have to fear for her safety as well since all their als would still be prepared by palace chefs.
"Ohhhh!"
Her assistants’ eyes sparkled in excitent before they recalled they should reply first.
"Yes, Your Majesty! We are ready," they said in unison.
Arabella learned from their thoughts that they practiced greeting and replying in unison like this.
They took it as part of their task as Imperial Assistants.
Felix raised his hand wanting to ask sothing.
"Yes, Felix, what is it?"
"What territory will we visit first, Your Majesty?" Felix inquired.
"Sibruh. We will visit Sibruh first.
It’s the most affected since it was the first to be affected by the pest infestation and plant disease.
But rember to never ntion this to the locals or the other territories.
They might begin to bla each other if they knew what territory was affected first," Arabella warned.
At first, they thought Marquess Sibruh’s pride, mistakes, and incompetence were to bla for both pest infestations and plant disease to start there at the sa ti.
However, after realizing soone had intentionally caused it, they knew now that whoever the scher was, they had simply found a weak spot in Valeria and maximized it.
The Marquess was indeed prideful and made mistakes here and there, but the gravity of the pests and the disease would have not been as bad if it was not made worse.
Whoever made the disease based on one already present in Sibruh, so they thought it was the sa. However, it was much worse.
It beca clear to them, soone out there was trying to cause chaos in Valerian territories.
