The following day, Arabella woke up in Ferdinand’s arms.
She thought she woke up first but Ferdinand was just waiting for her to wake up.
’Geez. He’s pretending to be asleep again to see what I would do.’
She caught him through his thoughts. She won’t fall for it a second ti. Yesterday at the palace, he knew she stared at him for a while before trying to be free from his embrace.
Arabella flinched when she felt sothing hot and warm poke her belly. It was Ferdinand’s morning wood. She realized they were both still naked.
’Right, we spent hours doing all sorts of things last night.’
It felt so good that she fell asleep after Ferdinand made her reach the peak of pleasure several tis. She did ensure to do the sa for him every ti.
They still haven’t gone all the way but they enjoyed last night very much.
"Ferdinand, it’s poking ," Arabella said so he would stop his act.
"Good morning, my beloved wife," Ferdinand bead at her and gave her a kiss.
’Why does he look this attractive so early in the morning even with his hair a ss?’
They ended up having a bit of a steamy session again until the maids knocked on the door to wake them up for morning preparations.
And at breakfast...
[They seem to be getting along much better than usual.]
[The way they gaze into each other’s eyes and smile at each other is so different.]
Alwin and Rendell both instantly noticed that sothing seed to have changed between Arabella and Ferdinand.
Even the knights noticed it from how they behaved around each other. They were delighted especially since Ferdinand’s brooding aura was gone. He was no longer moody.
Ferdinand’s aura did make everything too obvious. He looked way more relaxed and calm after a steamy night. Once again, he looked way too bright compared to how gloomy and scary he usually was. Not to ntion he always smiled every ti he t her gaze.
Arabella was beginning to feel embarrassed as all the knights concluded their Emperor had a satisfying night which was why he was so much in a good mood today.
. . .
"Ferdinand," Arabella called out once they were in the carriage again.
"Yes?" Ferdinand smiled at her yet again. Smiling was finally becoming a natural thing to him.
She wanted to scold him and tell him not to make everything too obvious. But his smile was too bright that she didn’t feel like ruining his good mood so she didn’t.
’Fine. We are husband and wife anyway. It’s expected that we do all sorts of naughty stuff.’
"Shall we continue with our question-and-answer session since we have ti on our hands again?" Arabella said instead and Ferdinand instantly agreed this ti.
The carriage was soundproof so they can talk to each other inside as they pleased. If they wanted to speak with the coachman or to the knights outside, they had to touch sothing below the window so their voice would be heard outside.
"I have been wondering, what was your mother like?" Arabella upped the ante. She had been curious about Ferdinand’s family for a while now.
Was the forr Empress and Emperor truly his parents? Or were his parent in Estrella?
She carefully chose the words she used and did not specify his mother as the forr Empress so Ferdinand would think about his biological mother or any mother figure to him.
But why were his thoughts empty?
She was looking into his eyes awaiting to see his ntal image of his mother. But there was no one that appeared in his mind when she ntioned the word mother.
"I... I don’t have a mother..."
[She said we have to be honest during these sessions. But how do I tell her I literally have no mother? Or parents for that matter?]
’Eh?! He has no parents? I an, how is that even possible? Even dragons are born and raised, right?’
[She looks puzzled. But I truly don’t have a mother. I wasn’t born. I was simply created by the God of Dragons during the ti of creation.]
’Eh?!’ Arabella blinked repeatedly at what she just learned.
She wondered when the ti of creation was. Was it a specified ti when dragons were created?
Does that an Raymond was just created and had no real parents as well?
Was it the sa for all the dragons that exist in Estrella? Except perhaps for those who were born from couples like Raymond’s children?
"Right. Both of your parents had passed away. My apologies for asking an insensitive question," Arabella said as she did her best to hide her shock from what she just learned. She wanted to ask Ferdinand more about it but she had to save it for later once he admits he’s a dragon.
"No, it’s fine. You can ask anything you want."
[She must be referring to the forr Emperor and Empress. But those two are not my parents. And they are not dead. They had simply returned to Estrella because it was my turn to be the Emperor after the oracle was revealed.]
"I don’t rember the Forr Emperor and Empress much but I’m sure they are in a better place where they could do as they please. So you do not have to feel bad or sorry at all," he thought she was referring to the two so he replied about them.
Arabella learned from her husband’s thoughts that the Forr Emperor and his mate (the Forr Empress) were living in Estrella now with their real son. The son whom Ferdinand pretended to be.
There was a culture in Valerian Royalty that once the heir was decided, he would be given a new na and it would be what he would be known for.
Ferdinand was called Edward when he was a child but once he was declared the heir, he was called Ferdinand because that was apparently when the switch was made.
The true child of the Forr Emperor and Empress, Edward, was brought to Estrella for good once Ferdinand ca to Valeria.
Soon after that, once Ferdinand learned enough about human society to be able to rule, the deaths of Edward’s parents were faked.
The Forr Emperor and Empress then headed to Estrella as Ferdinand was crowned as the new emperor of Valeria.
