Chapter 85: It Wasn’t Ruby Green That Night
The next morning.
Abigail, after settling Teddy down, went downstairs and saw Brandon Piers standing next to Elder Piers.
For convenience in practicing Tai Chi, Elder Piers wore a cream-colored pure cotton traditional suit, looking vigorous and energetic. Next to him, Brandon Piers wore the sa style.
The difference was, the traditional suit, which easily made others look old, made Brandon Piers look all the more distinguished, his stunningly attractive face standing next to a cluster of pink roses, as if he were an immortal who had descended to the mortal world.
Abigail couldn’t think of a word to describe the man before her for a long ti. In the end, only two words remained: very handso.
Apart from being handso, he was simply very handso.
“Abigail, let’s start quickly. Once Teddy wakes up, there will be no ti.” Elder Piers saw that Abigail was sowhat dazed looking at his grandson, thinking she was not used to it, and hurriedly urged her.
Abigail ca back to her senses. “Oh.” She hadn’t expected soone as prestigious as Brandon Piers to practice Tai Chi with them.
At the sa ti, she felt embarrassed by her earlier loss of composure, avoided Brandon Piers’ teasing gaze, and started practicing.
She had been practicing this set of martial arts since she was a child and had long grasped its essence. As soon as she started moving, her whole aura instantly transford.
Brandon Piers was dragged here by the old man. He didn’t think Tai Chi was really that amazing. He attributed the old man’s recent improvents to regular exercise and a good mood. But when Abigail moved, he suddenly felt the air around them change.
Those usually calm amber eyes suddenly fixed on Abigail, sowhat surprised, wanting to know if his earlier feeling was an illusion. But with each movent Abigail made, she stirred the air around them, even altering the old man’s aura.
After a mont of daze, Brandon Piers’ expression beca serious, and he started practicing along with their rhythm.
The old man loved Tai Chi. Brandon Piers had been forced to practice it since he was very young but never found anything special about this ancient internal martial arts.
However, following Abigail’s movents today, he seed to discover a hidden secret within Tai Chi, changing his entire deanor.
After an hour of practice, Brandon Piers not only didn’t feel tired but instead felt refreshed, as if his body had beco lighter.
But Abigail, due to her weight and postnatal changes, had a thin layer of sweat on her forehead. Brandon Piers stood not far from her, only feeling that the previous slight milky scent was even stronger now, carrying an indescribable sweetness.
Just like that night…
Though he had been very drunk and drugged with hallucinogens, he clearly rembered that in the heat of the mont, the girl’s body also seed to emit a sweet and enticing fragrance, like the most potent aphrodisiac.
Upon waking, he had thought it was Ruby Green and wanted to take responsibility for her.
But with subsequent interactions, he beca increasingly disappointed with Ruby Green, having never slled that sweet scent again. He thought the enchanting aroma from that night had been a product of the drugs and alcohol. So he gave up on the idea but still indulged Ruby Green a bit more. Otherwise, given that she had used the child to sche against him, she would have died many tis over by now.
Yet, it turned out that the woman from that night was not Ruby Green at all.
The child wasn’t Ruby Green’s either.
The sweet scent he had experienced that night wasn’t an illusion. It was sothing he had truly experienced.
Thinking of this, Brandon Piers’ mind conjured up the chaotic scene from that night, his body involuntarily tightened, and he looked at Abigail with an intense gaze.
Elder Piers saw his grandson standing still for a long ti, turned his head, and saw him staring at Abigail with a somber expression, a bit puzzled. “Brandon, what are you staring at Abigail for? Are you shocked by the martial arts of our great Flowery Kingdom?”
“I’m going to take a shower.” Brandon Piers suddenly snapped out of it, threw down those words, and hurriedly went upstairs.
Elder Piers looked at Abigail with a face full of confusion.
Abigail was even more baffled.
