The door closed, and Shi Lingyan glanced at the doorway before turning his head and pecking her lips lightly. "Did you hear Grandma and Aunt Chen whispering just now?"
"What?" Shi i hadn’t heard anything.
She had only caught a glimpse of Aunt Chen whispering to Grandma out of the corner of her eye. They looked very secretive.
They also glanced at them now and then, no doubt talking about them.
But Shi i knew, whatever was being discussed, it was probably the usual stuff, so she didn’t really care what it was.
However, now that Shi Lingyan had asked, Shi i couldn’t help but be curious, asking, "What were they saying?"

Aunt Chen and Old Lady Shi were startled, their eyes widened upon seeing Shi Lingyan and Shi i walking out hand in hand.
