"Yao Yao, I..."

"No need to explain." Luo Yao gently took his hand and, under the astonished gazes of everyone, planted a kiss on it.

At that mont, all the executives wore expressions as if they'd just eaten sothing vile.

Simultaneously, they thought: Can you two at least act like normal human beings?

No wonder Young Master Lin managed to rise so successfully. With habits like "delivering als when his wife works" and "brewing soup during her etings," Luo Yao would love him for ten thousand years.

And then there was that vow of his—what man would dare swear sothing like that?

Lin Ran was truly a man who could bring nations to ruin.

Luo Yao didn’t even bother finishing the eting, forcing everyone to choke on their dog food.

Is this even human behavior?

But Luo Yao didn’t care. She could belong to A'Ran anywhere, and she could claim him as hers in any place.

Today, her A'Ran was especially adorable.

The conference room fell into dead silence. No one dared speak, no one dared lift their heads.

But though their heads were lowered, their phones slowly crept out from under the tables—snapping photos.

A series of click-click sounds followed, leaving everyone awkward.

Lin Ran snapped back to reality, slipping back into his shaless mode as he grinned at the crowd.

"Sorry for the dog food, everyone. What can I say? When love strikes, no one can stop it."

Driving recklessly is one thing, but force-feeding us sweetness? Unforgivable.

Every executive internally scread: This job is exhausting. Just end already.

The eting ended just like that. The mont the executives stepped out, they were hit with another blow.

A photo of Lin Ran, along with a brief introduction, was plastered in the most conspicuous spot—impossible to miss.

In the photo, Lin Ran looked handso, radiant.

The introduction was straightforward:

[Lin Ran: The Boss's Husband.]

......Crickets.

They’d already been stuffed full inside, and now they were force-fed another mouthful.

Who the hell ca up with this introduction? This is beyond ridiculous.

"I can’t take it anymore. I need to find a boyfriend ASAP."

"Hmm... I think I need to watch ten murder docuntaries to recover from this."

"Young Master Lin usually cos at noon, but today he showed up first thing in the morning. I thought he was here to accompany Luo Yao, but no—he was here to stab in the heart."

Ti to cent my heart shut...

Just then, Liu ng walked out. Everyone imdiately clamd up, resuming their griping only after she left.

"I swear, I’m going to find a husband who loves as much as Young Master Lin loves Luo Yao."

"But... aren’t you already married?"

"My husband doesn’t have ‘Wife Dependency Syndro.’ Doesn’t qualify. Ti for a divorce."

By the ti Lin Ran and Luo Yao left the conference room, the executives had long vanished.

They sure ran fast.

Just as Lin Ran was about to ask Luo Yao what she wanted for lunch, he froze.

"Uh... what does ‘The Boss’s Husband’ an?"

Luo Yao: "So everyone in the company can recognize you at a glance. No more acting blind."

"I an, what’s the deal with this title?" Lin Ran pointed at the introduction.

"It’s the husband of the boss. Since there’s such a thing as a ‘boss’s wife,’ and you refused to let hand Luo Corporation over to you, this is the only title left for you."

Lin Ran felt like he’d been struck by lightning, his toes curling in secondhand embarrassnt.

"A'Ran, don’t you like it? Or do you not want people to know you’re mine? Was that Zhang Xinyan’s figure too captivating this morning?"

Lin Ran swept Luo Yao into his arms and strutted out, passing through office after office until they reached the elevator.

This is how you properly announce you’re the boss’s husband."

"And for the record, not just one Zhang-what’s-her-na—even a thousand, ten thousand of her couldn’t compare to a single strand of your hair. So, can we drop the anger?"

Lin Ran was certain Luo Yao suffered from a chronic condition: "I know you love , but I still feel insecure."

What he didn’t know was that Luo Yao was slowly changing.

In the past, Zhang Xinyan would’ve already vanished.

Now, nestled in Lin Ran’s arms, she was overflowing with happiness.

"A'Ran, I was just teasing you. I wasn’t actually angry."

Back on the 88th floor, the suffering shifted to the assistant team. By the end of the day, nearly everyone had been force-fed sweetness.

From assistants to regular employees. From top executives to business partners.

All of them endured the sour, stinging blows of affection—yet none dared complain.

Liu ng, in particular, felt it the deepest.

Luckily, she’d built up so immunity, so she wasn’t completely KO’d by the lovey-dovey barrage.

When work ended, the entire office stampeded out.

Never before had they been so desperate to clock out.

If Lin Ran and Luo Yao weren’t the bosses, they’d have been beaten to a pulp long ago—ashes scattered, one in the ocean, the other atop Mount Everest.

Thankfully, tomorrow was the weekend. No more enduring the baptism of love.

Lin Ran lounged comfortably in the manor until Wu Zhishang’s ssage ca through.

The short drama’s filming wrapped tomorrow, and a wrap party was planned. Was Lin Ran attending?

He wanted to—it was the company’s first project, after all—but he hesitated, thinking of Luo Yao.

"If you want to go, I’ll co with you," Luo Yao said, as if reading his mind.

Lin Ran blinked. Had he ntioned the call?

"But... given the situation, is it safe for us to make public appearances?"

Luo Yao burrowed into his arms, as if only physical contact could soothe her nerves.

"If we keep hiding, we’ll never draw out the enemy."

Lin Ran nodded. She was right.

"Alright. Tomorrow, we’ll go to the wrap party together."

Luo Yao looked up at him. "Husband, what does ‘Yao Can’t Stop’ an?"

Lin Ran noticed the dangerous glint in her eyes. She’d misunderstood.

"It’s a pun. It ans I need you by my side forever—love without end."

"And ‘Wife Dependency Syndro’?" she pressed.

"That one’s literal. I can’t live without you. I’d die."

Lin Ran never hid his love for Luo Yao. She needed the reassurance—clear words prevented misunderstandings.

Those who hesitated in life, too afraid to speak their hearts—how many missed chances did they endure?

Be bold. Maybe they’ll be yours.

Be too bold? Maybe you’ll end up in jail.

If you’re not even willing to risk prison, can you really say you love them?

"Then by that logic, I have ‘Husband Dependency Syndro’ too. I can’t live without you. You’ll always be mine." Luo Yao never hid her possessiveness either.

Lin Ran’s heart ached. Luo Yao ant every word.

In their past life, after his death, she hadn’t survived alone.

"A'Ran, I want..."

Once again, Luo Yao claid Lin Ran as hers—completely, irrevocably.
