It was the first ti for Adrienne to see her penthouse so lively. With Myrtle and Gavin around, the once peaceful place was now filled with laughter and excitent. The sound of their conversations echoed through the spacious rooms, bringing new energy to the luxurious space.

Adrienne couldn’t help but smile as she watched her new husband and their friends explore every corner of her penthouse, making it feel more like ho than ever before. Once they had enough ti to check the details of the penthouse, Myrtle forced Adrienne to help her cook in the kitchen, leaving the two n alone.

"So, Addie, where do you plan to live now that you are married to Mr. Qin?" Myrtle asked.

The scent of freshly baked croissants filled the air while Adrienne helped Myrtle peel the potatoes as the latter cooked a al for them. Myrtle had no idea Adrienne could cook, but Adrienne decided to play dumb in order to not rouse suspicion in her. In her past life, it was Myrtle who taught her everything she needed to know in order to survive when she left the Jiang family.

"Len wanted us to live in Jinxiu Garden, but I have yet to inform my uncle about my marriage with Lennox." Adrienne confessed. "I’m sure I’ll hear an earful from him about keeping such an important event a secret."

Myrtle chuckled and reassured Adrienne, "Don’t worry, Addie. Your uncle may be strict, but he’ll co around once he sees how happy you are with Mr. QIn."

"I do hope so, Adrienne replied. She glanced at her husband and Gavin, who were having a serious talk on the balcony. She noticed that Gavin was unusually quiet and serious, which made her slightly concerned. She wondered if there was sothing troubling them that Lennox hadn’t shared with her yet.

"I heard what happened last night at the banquet from Valerie." Myrtle suddenly said, taking Adrienne’s attention. "My brother is quite shaless to ask your hand for marriage like that.

Adrienne sighed and nodded in agreent. "Yes, it was quite unexpected and inappropriate," she replied.

"I’m still trying to understand his intentions behind such a bold move." Myrtle comnted, but Adrienne already knew the reason behind it.

Adrienne thought that by avoiding Alistair, she could stop him from developing an obsession over her, but that didn’t happen. It seed that no matter what life she lived, he would eventually find a way to insert himself into it.

His persistence was unsettling and made Adrienne question her own actions and choices. She couldn’t help but wonder if there was sothing she had done to encourage his audacious behavior. Hadn’t she kept her distance from him and always treated him coldly? Did Alistair develop so masochistic tendency, finding pleasure in the chase and rejection?

"Fortunately, you married Mr. Qin. I would rather you marry Mr. Qin than my foolish brother. He won’t be able to do anything or force you into marriage." Myrtle continued.

Adrienne felt a mix of relief and confusion at Myrtle’s words. She couldn’t deny that marrying Lennox had brought stability and protection into her life, but it also raised new questions about her own desires and motivations.

Was she simply settling for security, or had she genuinely found love with Lennox Qin? The complexity of her emotions only deepened as she realized that Alistair’s audacious behavior had inadvertently pushed her towards a path she hadn’t anticipated.

Her marriage to Lennox Qin was supposed to be a contractual one, and yet... she found herself growing fond of him in ways she hadn’t expected. The more ti she spent with Lennox, the more she discovered his genuine care and affection for her.

Despite her initial reservations, she couldn’t deny the growing connection between them. Lennox’s ability to make her smile and his unwavering support during difficult tis made her question whether love could truly blossom from a marriage of convenience.

As their relationship deepened, she found herself torn between the security she had sought and the unexpected happiness that Lennox brought into her life. Lennox once told her he wanted to be her man, a real husband, but was she ready to let go of her fears and take a leap of faith?

"I know you married Mr. Qin out of convenience, but Addie, we aren’t blind. We can see how much he adores you." Myrtle closed the pot and smiled at Adrienne. It seed that she knew what Adrienne was thinking at that mont.

"He treats you like a queen, and his love for you is evident in every gesture. You deserve to be with soone who truly loves and cherishes you, soone like Mr. Qin. Don’t let fear hold you back from embracing the happiness that awaits you."

Adrienne nodded, feeling a lump form in her throat as she thought about Myrtle’s words. She knew deep down that Lennox loved her, but the fear of being hurt or betrayed still lingered in her mind. How could she trust soone so easily after everything she had been through?

Just then, Lennox entered the kitchen with Gavin, his eyes imdiately fixing on Adrienne as he walked over to her. "Is everything alright, my love?" he asked, his voice soft and reassuring.

Adrienne smiled, feeling her heart swell at the tenderness in his voice. "Everything’s fine, Len," she replied.

"I was just telling Addie how lucky she is to have a husband like you," Myrtle chid in, offering Lennox a warm smile.

Lennox grinned, his gaze never leaving Adrienne’s as he replied, "I’m the lucky one to have her."

Adrienne’s heart skipped a beat as she felt Lennox’s hand reach for hers, his fingers intertwining with hers. She looked up at him, her eyes eting his, and for a mont, everything else faded away.

At that mont, Adrienne knew that she had made the right choice by marrying Lennox. He was everything she needed and more, and she was willing to take a chance on love, even if it ant facing her fears and trusting soone with her heart.

As they sat down to enjoy Myrtle’s delicious al, Adrienne felt a sense of contentnt wash over her. She was surrounded by people who cared for her, and she felt a deep sense of belonging, sothing she hadn’t experienced in the past.
